I spoke to a mod and asked them what I should do, since the full OT isn't quite ready yet and the game is a month away, I did a really minimalistic one for the Japanese release.

I can finish the full one by the end of the weekend if this is a problem, but the mod I spoke to said it would be okay to go this route.

I knew the game would get released earlier in Japan, but I didn't know it'd release a full month earlier than in the rest of the world.

It's 2014 ffs.

Yup, preordered a while ago now. Bought it at retail this time because there are 2 games in one, so I won't be able to experience it from the 20th but I'll still get it a few weeks before it hits the EU/US.
The game looks awesome so I can't wait to see how it holds up on Wii U.

almost can't believe that we are finally getting a sequel to bayo..alll those sad E3 waiting for the announcement that never happened..then the news that it was canceled,and then the direct happened..

The game is up on the eShop, 2 hours early (just like Smash was). I wonder if this'll be the norm from now on...

Ahhhhh! This is going to be too tempting not to keep peaking in this thread now tomorrow onwards after I've avoided so much coverage since E3. Then again it's not like the story is going to be the big draw for me with Bayonetta 2. I'm sure with my memory these days I'll forgot everything in a month anyhow.

Just going back and reading the comments on multiple sites is absolutely hilarious. People swearing they will boycott Platinum, and simply whining and port begging.

No not at all, just with it coming out so soon reminded me of all the drama at reveal. I never played the original and already had planned to get a Wii U before then, so I was kinda removed from all the drama. I haven't followed the game majorly since then, apart from checking out the occasional update.

So I was just wondering if people were continuing to be upset by the exclusivity or if that all died down very quickly

p.s. I am planning on buying it, probably for Xmas. Bayo 1 bundled REALLY pulled me in, although my wife was a bit shocked when she walked in during the recent direct haha

Yeah, no problems. I just think that It'd be the best not to bring up this topic at all. Otherwise it'll derail the thread with tons of shitposts.

Literally buying a Wii U just for this game. When you buy Bayonetta 2 you get a digital download code for 1, right? So if I buy the game day 1 would it be safe to wait for Black Friday to see if I can get a deal on Wii U?

In the US You get a physical copy (Box,Disc) of Bayonetta 1 with every copy of Bayonetta 2. Same in Japan. In the EU, you can get Bayonetta 2 on its own, or both physically in a special edition or the First Print Limited edition.

Ugh I seriously wonder why this isn't releasing a week later in the US. I guess Nintendo wanted to avoid that Destiny hype train.

So does the japanese version have english subtitles/voice as well ? I remember buying Max Anarchy from Japan and it was completely localised with a change in the menus.

Not that it matters, region lock and I can't afford it until October anyway :p

I'll play Hyrule Warrior/MGR (PC) to ease the waiting, because I'm only thinking about this damn game lately.

Platinum Games have this effect on me that no other company have, because you just know it'll be damn good.

Ok, Ive watched up to chapter 13

People, seriously. I you haven't played Bayo 1, and you care about the story in anyway shape or form, you need to play that first. You will be lost at times otherwise.

Ill also say that platinum have proved all my fears apart from one to be false. This is going to be a excellent game.
