Forza Horizon 2 |OT| Rock You Like a Huracan

Did a few online road trips and noticed two players that kept winning championships by achieving 20.000 to 30.000 xp between the last two events. How is that possible?

It got so annoying that people left the session after a while.

EDIT: Game crashed twice today. I'm in the dashboard preview and I've got the latest console update installed.

I've saw some weird stuff online too.
Last night me and someone from on here(arhra?) were racing, he came 2nd me 3rd.
After the race finished someone else was moved up the leaderboard to second.

And a few times there has been someone on the leaderboards with a higher class of car than the rest but his score at the end is a minus.

Do you do this for every car?

I usually always upgrade brakes, springs (then go into tuning and lower it some more) , weight reduction, clutch, and transmission. I'm less into improving the raw power, and more into having a light, fast accelerating, well handling car.
I also will add a spoiler if I need to get some more down force to improve the handling.

These game freezes are now getting to be very unacceptable. Froze after getting an XP board, restarted, froze right after getting a barn find. Fix this shit!

Yup i feel ya. Id like to walk into that QA dept and say you guys didnt have this happen while testing? Really?

Any tips for modifying or upgrading cars? I bought a corvette stingray and started modifying it.. Will this be a waste compared to the other cars?

If I get new cars.. Then what's the point of modifying the older ones?

what stingray you got? the 2014 or the 1967? and for what class you are interested?
I can share a tune for you and you can compare to see differences :)

Regarding the freezes, I've had around 10 in total this weekend, however I've just played for the last couple of hours while not signed in to XBL. I smashed through tons of signs, found loads of new roads and just generally did a lot of things that would normally have a high chance of freezing up my game and... I had absolutely no issues whatsoever.

I think the freezing up is something to do with XBL. If anybody else can do some testing that'd be great.

I think people do the "never-ending drift" thing in all the between-race things and don't even try to get to the destination, so they're creating massive skill chains

Heh, that's pretty similar to what I do; upgrade tires, weight reduction, brakes, springs (basically in that order). Then if i've still got room in the class, worry about adding HP.

I usually dont change the type of tire (improves it to much, I like to stay in the original class unless its D) but I usually put wider ones on.

I got a new update yesterday and shortly after got my first freeze. I am also still getting that weird looking characters when you achieve something and it compares you to another player.

Loving the game but the tech issues are starting to annoy and is taking away from the enjoyment of the game. Perhaps they should of done a Driveclub and let it bake some more.

Got that weird crash that people have been reporting. Sounds does a weird repeating deal and while it froze.

Not in the preview program. First time it's happend though.

Game looks great and the driving has been great. However, just 6 championship events in, it feels rather repetitive already. And the credits seem to be rolling in quite slowly. It didn't feel nearly as grindy or repetitive in FH1.

Also got this 2 times. Not in the preview program as well.

I've got to say, I'm not a huge fan of the "here are 4 races for you" design. The first game felt like it just had a ton of events all over, and I liked just roaming and randomly doing them. With that said, I do enjoy the road trips, and they're fun online too. I'm wondering if after you finish all the championships if the map will then become populated with a lot of new events all over?

New one. I don't know what you mean by "for what class". I just finished the stradale challenge..

I think the mods I did moved it to s1 or s2? I'm IAMBLEST on XBL

Argh. At 314/315 roads discovered and can't see any unexplored road surface on the map at all- I'd kill for a way to highlight unexplored roads.

Look for small darkened out parts of the street and make sure to disable all the symbols on the map.

If you wanted to, I think you could "beat" the game (by which I mean get to the Horizon Finale and see the credits) with nothing but the basic Supra you can pick at the start, as you can choose which championships to enter and the opponents are automatically scaled to match you (they're selected by car type, and auto-tuned/upgraded to roughly match your car's level, rather than being sorted by performance class like in FH1, so no real need to be close to the top of whatever class you're in).

That'd be kinda boring, though.

So really, just do whatever you find the most fun. Buy new cars, upgrade the ones you already have, whatever takes your fancy. You'll get new cars sooner or later anyway - the first showcase event gifts you one, there's the barn finds, and then there's the chance to get cars every time you level up on the wheelspin. And don't forget to download the free launch car pack (and the Day One pack if that's still available) - that's another bunch of cars you won't have to pay any credits for.

The only place where your car's performance class really matters is online, as it's grouped purely by performance class rather than car type, and you'll see, for example, your A-class Lancia Delta going up against Lamborghini Diablos, etc. So for that, you'll probably want your car to be near the top of it's performance bracket.

As for the drivatar difficulty level, you can switch it at any time, so just do a few races and adjust up or down until you hit the sweet spot. I don't consider myself particularly amazing at racing games, but settled on bumping them up to Highly Skilled (with TCS/STM turned off, ABS and the braking line still on), and find it a good challenge.

The game wins huge brownie points from me by not forcing me to race muscle cars. I love how you get to choose a new type of championship for each destination, so you can throw it around the hills in a rally car, then switch to a retro supercar for some 90's thrills on the roads. Whatever mood you're in you can find something to suit.

I'm ok with the races. I mixed it up in each area doing races, driving on the roads, finding boards etc. My problem is that I didn't realise there were only six locations. So now I've been to each one a couple of times, there isn't much left *except* races.

Hmmm just had my first system crash just got asked to begin taking pictures of other cars for money and the game crashed.

Just before that I also got those square symbols replacing someones name.

Normally I'm not a fan of cockpit view but for some reason I love it in this game.

I've actually found it the best way to play the game. And like you the cockpit view is usually my least preferred.

In preview... Newest update

Just had my first sound bug crash since update, 2nd total crash after many days, after winning a championship and loading back to free roam

I was playing some FH2 online races, and if my bad ping wasnt enough (at about 200, I can even see some cars doing strange shit) a guy just kicked me out of nowhere... I went from 3rd place to last. Was able to finish on something that is not last though...

At another race one guy passing me, and there was plenty of space for him to do so, but no... he had to pass me and try to kick me out the road also! Thankfully he couldnt.

Come on, some players are damn stupid.

Finished the championship on 5th place though. Win one race and one of that "King" events.

Its just sad how my ping is spoiling my experience. And I should not have this problem, because we have dedicated servers on my country. Damn, I hate my ISP. =´(

Maaaaaan, the Ultima GT is a fucking BEAST! I'm driving it with no assists and it is a fucking handful to drive, but sooo satisfying. I completely zone out while using it because I'm concentrating so much. It really keeps me on my toes.

I've been really, really enjoying this game up until now, but this car is making me love the game. It's such a fun car, and the handling model for this game is fucking awesome. Cars have weight to them, but they're still precise and smooth.

Funny, cause for me its the other way around: I think rain does not look quite as good in cockpit-view than it does in all other views. Especially the street kind of looks extremly blurred like a odd one colored grey texture sometimes.

I was in an online championship with P3tran just now and there was a guy who went from 0 to 146k XP within the road trip to the third event.

Up to that point I was leading. Yeah...that's no fun.
