Nintendo under shipment woes strikes again with Bayo 2.

Seriously, I can't find this game anywhere.

I tried 3 Gamestops and 2 Best Buys. And it seems people in the main OT are having the same problem. Guess I should've pre-order as GS reminded me lol.

I'd buy it digitally if it wasn't for Nintendo's wacky account system.

Is anyone having trouble finding this game?

Maybe this is why pre-orders are good

I thought Nintendo's account thing online was actually better with recovering digital games considering how NN/Club-Nintendo works? Sure not as good as PSN/XBL

What a shock. Nintendo games are the only games I usually pre order. Otherwise you won't get them for a while.

Should've pre-ordered, might be different in America, but Nintendo only ships to retailers to cover preorders.

I remember several people being turned away because Nintendo didn't bother to send more than a few copies of tomodachi.

This is a recent thing this generation. (Wanna pimp the eShop perhaps)

Nintendo has always shipped adequate copies of games before.

I'm pretty sure they expected very low sales, pre-ordering ain't great but you'll be sure to get what you need.
You can always go digital if needed.

I guess they shouldn't make any more copies then.

The entire point of the reserve system is that you are guaranteed the game as soon as it comes out. If you don't make a reservation you're saying you don't want that guarantee.

Is it really Nintendo that decides how many copies stores get, though? Or is it stores under ordering out of fear of getting stuck with a bunch of leftovers that don't move? Certainly Bayonetta 2 would move, but my experience in retail says most buyers really couldn't see the difference between Bayonetta 2 and My Babyz Horses or some shit.

Bought it digitally. Having a blast, I would have bought a physical copy but I kind of wanted the games on my account.

Man, I lucked out so much at Target, then, I guess. I got the last copy and the guy who got it for me was cute.

Win.

Er, yeah, that sucks about the low shipments. I was hoping that wouldn't happen, since they even advertised the game with a commercial and everything. Though they did the same with Awakening...

Buy it on Amazon. It's in stock.

Both. Bayonetta 1 sold less than 1.5 million lifetime and that was after massive price drops. It only sold a couple hundred thousand at launch.

So Nintendo wasn't going to print 10 million copies to flood retail stores with stock. Nor were retail stores going to reserve 100 copies per store just to have them sit around waiting for a price drop, not when the Wii U user base is so small and with Bayonetta 1's sales history.

Nintendo has always run short on physical copies since Luigi's Mansion on 3DS. Reserving first party Nintendo games is usually a good idea.

I didn't preorder, because I never preorder, and I still picked my copy up just fine from my nearest GameStop. I would have preferred to pick it up at a local place called The Exchange, but they hadn't gotten their shipment in yet. Everything went fine, and the GS employee was really annoyed that I hadn't preordered, so it was a win-win.

Two copies sold? That's not a bomb guys, stop trolling!!!
I see it available on Amazon.com. From what I can remember, it was one of the first places to be hit with sever undershipments last year, right after Fire Emblem: Awakening launched.

Available also on Gamestop.com, Best Buy.com and Walmart.com.

This better not be happening. I was planning on picking up a discounted copy during the holidays.

There are 8 Gamestops and 3 Best Buys within 10 miles of here that have it in stock. Maybe it's just sample size? Granted I'm in an area with a lot of commerce, but we've seen the Nintendo shortages hit on things like Fire Emblem and Tomodachi Life before. You couldn't get Fire Emblem for weeks after launch.

Kmart had to cancel all their preorders bc they got very little shipment from nintendo. I'm guessing nintendo had no faith in this game.

Gamestop.com has it in stock but no stores within 100 mile radius. Best Buy has it stock at all stores within 2 hours of me. Amazon has it in stock with Monday delivery. Toys R Us, in stock. Target, in stock. Walmart, in stock.

It's a pretty good idea to reserve Wii U games, especially ones like Bayo2, considering the retailers probably aren't ordering too much surplus.

Sucks but it's my feeling as well if it isn't named say Mario Kart or Smash.

Preordered at GS ans grabbed my copy late yesterday afternoon. No clue how many they had left.

Honestly can't blame them for not producing a huge shipment. And yeah, retailers probably aren't too keen to order WiiU games in huge quantities right now, either.

Thank goodness for endless digital supply.

My Walmart didn't even have it on the shelves yesterday. So their incompetence worked out as I was able to get a copy that was fresh out of a UPS box.

Well why didn't you pre-order? All the big .coms have it in stock you could of had it delivered to you twice now. Gamestop and BB would of gotten your pre-order in even if you pre-ordered Thursday.

I never pre-order honestly. Never felt the need.

There were like 10 copies at my local Best Buy last night, heh. Pretty easy to pick up for me. I was actually kinda sad to see so many copies still sitting there.
