Uhhh. Thank god. Regened back in like, june-july I think, and losing access to the CAR smg had seriously put a dampener on my fun. Picked the game back up this week though and frontier defence has gave me such a good time, I'm already up to 34, so I have access to my favourite gun again. Just need that counterbalance now.

Got a sunset overdrive bundle and grabbed tintanfall for 20 from amazon and the season pass for 6.25.

Game is fun. I definitely feel like I need a lot more practice.

Game crashes a shit-ton since the last patch.

As for the latest Ranked Play tweaks.... was very easy for me to rank up to Diamond V. Possibly too lax in the requirements now, but I assume Respawn has stats they can look at on that front.

As for the population dying off... I don't know, played some Advanced Warfare, but I can tell that it's not going to pull me off of this game full-time. Still seems healthy enough on the Xbox One version with AW out, so I'll take that as a good sign. We'll see about Halo.

Another weird thing that has been happening all the time lately. Ya know when you pop out to deal with a rodeo pilot, and your titan stays still until the enemy pilot is off? Every once in a while your titan would decide to freak out and start fighting something else, and you can't shoot the pilot. But now it's basically all the time. Even when my titan has nothing to shoot at, the jackoff just runs off and does whatever.

Just deleted this shit. Last patch really fucked the game up for me, having way too many unexplained glitches. GG Respawn

I bought this game for $10 last weekend and I have really enjoyed it so far. (PC). is it worth buying the season pass? Do people play those maps at all?

I reinstalled and turned everything I could to either low or off.

5 seconds into the game, ping spikes from 49 to 360+ rendering the game unplayable. I'm beyond vexed. I've never had an issue with lag for the 400+ hours I put into the game UNTIL this last update.

Well after the shit storms of CoD: AW and TMCC I decided to jump back on Titanfall this afternoon and it didn't take long to be reminded of just how fucking good this game is. Got straight into a game, people I was shooting actually died and it just felt right....it worked and it was a shitload of fun.

Went on a 7 game MVP streak and finally hit Gen 10 after taking a couple of months off from Titanfall. It's safe to say I'll be playing a heap more of this in the foreseeable future.

^Same, seems clear the November tentpole shooters don't have anything on Titanfall. I have a long-term project of completing all the challenges (Flyswatter is done, so the rest are pretty much inevitable), getting the Everygoose (trying to get an airborne kill with more or less every weapon), and getting 3 stars on everything (this one will be a pain).

I haven't jumped back in yet, I am really enjoying COD at the moment, but I have to agree with your part around the quality of Titanfall.

If this was multi-plat and was released on the PS4, rest assured the 'feeling' around the game would be much more positive.

- Dedicated servers with barely any lag ever
- Exceptional maps, every single one, including the DLC
- The gameplay mechanics work and it is so well balanced. Nothing feels overpowered Pilot can take down a Titan, Titan can take down a Pilot
- The gruns actually 'work'. For something that took so much flack, Pilot V Pilot mode was just boring without the grunts and Titans

It is so damn good. As things stand, easily my GOTY.

I just hope any sequel doesn't go too far the 'COD' way. Yes, I'd like to see some variation in weapons. But don't go over board with a 'pick 13' type system.

Keep it relatively simple and Respawn have a real game series in their hands.

Anyway, I recently started playing this. I got to level 10 or so within 4 matches or so, I haven't really had to struggle to adapt to the game or its movement and speed.

Just wondering if there's any advanced stuff you guys know of in relation the parkour elements though? I know how to hang on to walls and 'shimmy up them'.

And any reccomendations on titan loadouts and which burn cards to avoid? Thanks.

Title music is the best. When I load this game up I sometimes just listen to the theme for 5 minutes before clicking play.

Also, yesterday I did not even hesitate - as soon as I saw the saw daily challenge to kill 3 cloaked pilots, I abandoned the challenge. Dumb to have a challenge like that, which relies on something 100% out of your control.

I'm at 81% so far for the daily challenge achievement. That's the last item I need for the full 2000/2000.

Hey, first post. In the words of Prince Akeem from the movie "Coming to America": "I'm very happy to be here!" I guess most of the GAF users weren't even born when that movie came out, but I'm old so...

I'm about to hop on the Xbone train at the end of the month. Just wanted to ask you fine gents (and ladies), how is Titanfall these days? Does it still have a healthy community, or have most players left to play Destiny/COD: bunnyhoppin' edition/Halo? Titanfall interests me, but not sure should I just wait for the sequel. Thanks in advance.

If it shows a full progress bar in the Acheev app, then it should pop at some point down the line. I wouldn't worry.

Played through the Advanced Warfare campaign and did some multiplayer for the last few days. Came back to Titanfall and its like I got my wings all over again.

So a week or so ago after being killed 2 second after spawning for the millionth time in CoD I loaded up TF for the first time in awhile. Joined a LTS match and have never loaded CoD since. I am finding myself only playing LTS though. It's fucking good.

I am almost level 5 of the diamond or whatever, final level of the ranked play. Shit is so stupid though. For example just now I finished a game that started 6 on 4, with one of our guys being AFK and eventually booted, so really 6 on 3. We lose 4-1 and I rack up like 23k in damage, still lose a battlemark or whatever. Fuck that.

And in like 7 straight games there is this dude THEgamerTESTER or something, seemed to be purposely throttling his connection. Fucker was almost impossible to hit. Is this a thing now? Because after he left sure enough some other jackass who'd had a fine 4-5 bar connection every game, suddenly had a Stryder teleporting around at 1 bar. Then when his team was up 3-1, back to 5 bars. Then when we came back and tied it 3-3, back to 1 bar. Wins like that feel extra good.

But in over a week of only LTS I have never once gotten a map from the first two DLC's. I think they kind of killed potential sales of the last DLC by showing the player count because it always looks barren as fuck so I never bought it. They need to make it free so that everyone can play on these awesome maps.

Hows the Xbox One community doing? I'm going to jump back on this since Halo MCC is freaking broken.

Titanfall is still the best FPS of this gen and i don't see that changing anytime soon... maybe Halo 5 can surpass it.

also my regular COD dudes, they put advanced warfare to the bench and jumped back in titanfall.
and these were cod fanatics...

Has anything been updated? Carbine? or anything like that.

Also, how does this ranking system work. I'm a bronze? Since i haven't played in a month+ i guess that's why ? I never played during the whole ranking beta.

It's such a fantastic game but for some reason people are REALLY bad. I just got in my first game in over a month, possibly 2 whole months and wrecked the shit out of everyone.

I am liking Frontier Defense. It can get brutal at times. Blame the team, right?
Challenges reset on regen, right? I've done a good chunk of them and I'm still sitting at Gen 1. Don't want to lose my unlocks.

So I was in a hard point match where the enemy had managed to have all 3 hard points for like 90 % of the first 5 or 6 minutes of the match. They were at 350 and were rapidly rising, we were at 170. We played really well and by some miracle we actually managed to beat them.

Craziest comeback I've experienced, thought I would share it on here. Here's the last 5 minutes of the match, pretty much captured the entire epic comeback.

Running fine for me.

I am am having an issue with the game randomly closing after a match though and booting me back to the home screen. That wouldn't be so bad but it's also wiping any stats, challenges and unlocks I've achieved in however long the session is, so it's not just wiping a game or 2, it can be up to my last 5.

I thought it would save my progress after each match but it seems like it's corrupting somewhere and wiping everything from when I start to when it closes.

EDIT: FFS, it did it again after playing like 10 games but this time without the crash.

Completed a heap of challenges and unlocks and stopped playing for a while to do stuff. Came back and started up Tf and all that progress is back to where it was 10 games ago :/

Do they just not have any of the DLC maps in the LTS playlist at all? Seems bizarre that they wouldn't, yet I have never played on one in it. Surely at some point I'd be in a match where everyone has them.

Due to all the Halo MCC issues I've picked this back up having not really played it much since about a month after launch.

I'm rusty as hell (not that I was good to begin with) but finding that I'm really enjoying what I've played so far. Glad that they seem to have added loads of bits since I last was on and I'm really tempted to pick up the DLC maps.

Now that the game has been out for a while I wondered if there was any sort of definitive pilot or titan loadouts?
I'm still using the Carbine and the Stryder with Chaingun but don't seem to see many other players using that Titan loadout.

What's everyone's preferred pilot and titan loadouts, or are they all pretty well balanced now?

After playing a few games ....WTF? The connections are so bad now. On top of that you get these kids jittering around using the pistol. Did they rebuff the pistol? It's insane. Kids just hopping around locking on to you.

Whose idea was it to rebuff that stupid thing

Loadouts are Gen Specific at the moment for me. But when I am not grinding Gen Challenges:

TITAN: Stryder: Plasma Railgun (Instant Shot)/and or/Quad Rocket (Upgraded with single shot rockets) + Cluster Missile + Smoke + Regen Booster

PILOT: Pretty much anything goes. All the weapons are great.

I have to try the Triple Thread more often on the Stryder.

EDIT: As for the SMRT Pistol, it hasn't been buffed, you just keep getting the bad end of the battle, as your opponent has seen you first. I use it alot in ATTRITION for the AI points and I die more with it on against an opponent one on one then with any other gun. You have to get the one up on someone with it on or hope your opponent isn't really good at all or just out move your opponent like a pro.

Also, there has been some noticeable issues with networking latency since a few days ago when I could not get a game on XBONE (WED).

I've been playing Advanced Warfare lately and it's really brought to light just how fucking razor sharp Titanfall is by comparison. Connection quality is significantly less questionable in Titanfall. TtK is low and always will be by virtue of it's CoD roots, but it feels like you get instakilled signficantly less often by bog standard rifles. I don't think spawns have ever been an issue in Titanfall, whereas it's always been an on-again, off-again problem throughout CoD's history and is no different with AW.

But mostly, it just feels like I can actually fucking shoot people while moving in Titanfall. Even without necessarily aiming down sight. Whereas it feels like Advance Warfare is caught in the middle, having this really cool and different movement system, but always forcing you to basically hunker down if you want decent accuracy. Maybe I'm wrong about that. Maybe there's some hard data that says otherwise. But it feels like I'm heavily penalized for moving and shooting at the same time in Advance Warfare, which isn't something I tend to run up against in Titanfall.

And as cool as Advance Warfare is, it feels like I'm constantly rubbing up against cooldowns. That's not an inherently bad thing, but Advance Warfare feels like playing Monster Hunter to Titanfall's Devil May Cry.

I guess what I'm saying is, Wallrunning for President.

Having a really tough time breaking into Diamond I. Hopefully I can do it before the end of the season.

The amount of fluctuation in the rank chip's evaluation near the end of matches is kind of irksome - I've had a bunch of matches where it ping-pongs between maxing out at two battlemarks and about 80% of one.

No dude. I've put in over 500+ hours into this game. Granted i haven't played much of it in the last 2 months but i still know how to play. The smart pistol as it is now is ridiculous. The poor connection quality compounds the cheapness.

It was a bad idea for them to rebuff it.

I haven't had a single connection issue. I am like some others...COD pushed me back to this game, and I realized that I absolutely love this game. I will continue to play this up until the sequels release, which will be one of my most anticipated releases.
