Uncharted 4 Gameplay Demo [Up: Sony - Was running at 30 fps]

Damn. This was the one and only game that I fully expected and assumed would blow my mind away look better than anything else we've seen from consoles. Gotta say that The Order has this beat down on the graphics department. Feels kinda surreal to be disappointed by this :D

Yes he fell down but the level designer didn't add a trigger to kill drake (it's a demo level).

At least it's 100% real, not a ubisoft demo

Looks fantastic. I'm super excited for it.

I'm also glad that we can finally put to rest any illusions people had that the initial reveal would represent the final product's graphical quality. Was getting a bit frustrating seeing that thing being brought up in discussions about graphics.

Seems the game lacks physical-based and deferred rendering? The lighting on the environment/rocks looks really similar to past Uncharted games, which would explain how they could get 60fps with ease. Character models and render looks great though.

I wouldn't be surprised if nothing like it makes it into the full game. Like TLoU that looked considerably more versatile in the reveal.

Eh? Last of Us dumbed down the enemies a bit, but Naughty Dog has been pretty good at offering well designed battlegrounds in the past and this seems like it ups up the game in a way that a jump in console generations allows.

A few things:

1) Foilage was the big graphics point in this demo. Everything else looks like an upgrade from UC3 -- sharper textures, more frames per animation, more on screen.

2) Framerate is NOT going to be a locked 60fps from the looks of it. The game seemed to have unlocked the framerate but you can clearly see it struggling in alot of the scenes based on camera view.

3) I love the transition animations.. They looked great!

4) Nothing high tech can be seen in this video.. no realtime GI, no volume lighting, no volume smoke, no tessellation, no POM, SSR are non-existant, etc.

5) Good particles though for explosions. Nice 2D smoke effects.

Overall, I expected more based on the hype.

Floored me, even after Dragon Age PC. The jungle looked so lush. A word used for Crash Bandicoot in that tv ad. Jak and Daxter or something next, you guys need to do something like that again.

I'm actually glad for that. I assumed the entire demo was choreographed and pre-recorded.

So The Order: 1886 is the PS4's graphical showcase game? Its 'Killzone 2'.

Uncharted looks like Uncharted, though. Should be good.

Look great. Will probably the best looking game ever when it launches. I'm really burnt out on uncharteds combat so I hope there's some new mechanics or it's not as combat heavy as 3.

If this is 30FPS it is great, if this is 60FPS it is a technical marvel only the Naughty Gods would be able to deliver.

After having played the 4 games, I agree.
I dont know how anyone can say this unless theyre playing on medium difficulty. On higher settings the UC games are almost MGS like in the way every area needs to be carefully planned.

Yeah an to think its just their first game. Uncharted 1 looks terrible compared to UC2/3.

If this is indicative of the entire game, which it might be given that this is what they showed for such a big unveiling, I can understand why several team members left Naughty Dog.

Surprise, surprise. It doesn't look as good as that E3 trailer.

Damn, this looked so good. Dat environment.
And the combat was much more flexible, really great. Can't wait for high quality footage. :)

Looks fantastic so far, but what I'm looking forward to is story details. The game may be pretty, but the fantastic narrative is what Uncharted is all about, period.

Yes, you can definitely say this a year from release. /facepalm
