I imagine some people are happy Ermac is back, aesthetically he looked kinda meh but game play seems interesting enough. I was hoping we would see some Kitana game play today. Kung Lao's new hat fatality still doesn't top his MK 9 drag through fatality.

Seeing this thread just reminded me of how they pretty much got away with making sonya as close to topless as possible. In the T rated vs DC game of all places.

That's because ArcSys characters are well designed for the most part as well as have a shit ton of personality.

Nemo got invited? Honestly I'm surprised by that. No doubt he's an amazing player, but his invite seems more based on hype and reputation instead of results, because he's only traveled overseas to 1 tournament to compete in USF4 I think(in which he won). At first I thought they were just going to invite the top tournament players thus keeping the player pool kind of small(lets say 8). But with his invite, it makes it seem like they're not only going to do that so maybe they'll invite up to 16 for this event.

They already said they're inviting 14 players (jpn, usa, fra, brazil, uk, singapore). They're going to have an open tournament before the kumite where anyone from the world can compete in to fill in the last 2 spots. I think it's capped at 120 or so players though.

well i think according to the canon MK1 and MK2 were the only games that wera a "tournament". MK3 was an all out war, and everyone has just been brawling ever since. so that statement of him never entering a tournament would still be true if he's in the game.
