So of course I ordered it.
And...

So Best Buy in Albany can go screw itself.
I called yesterday to see if they have any Meta Knight amiibo, they said they will have a limited quantity. I get there and there's three other guys, it's inside a mall so naturally we wait inside the mall because it's freezing outside. Turns out that they're only paying attention to the front entrance, because they hand out two tickets to the guys waiting out there, BESIDES the fact that we had been waiting longer. Oh yeah, and the others had no extra, preorders only, despite me calling and asking yesterday if they had extras.

So on that note, any NeoGAF amiibros picking up an extra Meta Knight or King Dedede, could you please get in touch with me, I don't mind paying a bit above cost and/or shipping.

Yes, but probably in very limited quantities (as opposed to TRU, where Mega Man had decent supply on launch day last Friday).

Last week when TRU had Megaman, they only had 4 for non preorders, this was a Tampa TRU in florida.
Disgusting too, since they'd sell more then 1 per person. The first guy in line bought two, and the next guy bought 2, no more Megamans.

They are cancelling all orders, even of newer waves (and weeks after they have been released), and a friend was just this morning to the physical Fanc in Valencia (said it was utter chaos of people wanting amiibos and only 4 complete groups of wave 3.5 arriving, with some scalpers getting them first), and was told by the clerk they are not accepting anymore preorders of amiibos in store (and for what it seems with all the cancellation, not even on the website).
Is first come, first serve the fridays they are released, and people usually start doing queue from 9am.
A poor woman was crying becuase he couldnt get dedede and meta knight for his son's birthday.
Im going to TRU this afternoon to get my preorder of the whole 3.5 wave group, that came yesterday afternoon.
So glad the clerk at TRU knows me know and knows how to take orders so I get them always.
She handles the skylanders/infinty/amiibos section and I always help her telling her when the new waves are going to arrive like months before so she can get prepared, and also explaining which charcater is which, and from what game, with some funny discussions (she nincknames some of the amiibos, its really funny).

Grand Rapids, born and raised here. Grew up back when the west side was a polish ghetto. I'm very familiar with the Grandville/Jenison, Coopersville, Mount Pleasant, Cedar Springs, and Greenville areas. I see Gaffers from all of those cities so I wouldn't be surprised if I'd somehow met some of you briefly.
