Nice, a Best Buy employee just came out and said she's going to start giving out tickets soon - I'm #2, so it sounds like I'm getting a Meta Knight! I'll know for sure soon...

Well this morning sucked. I arrived at my BB 30 minutes before opening and 6 people were their for Meta Knight. An employee came out and told us they had only 6 MK's available so I wasn't gonna get one. I asked him if they got any Mega Man and he said they only got one. So I left and went to another BB and they didn't have any MK, MM, and Dede. I did get a coupon for a $5 off any 3DS and Wii U game as an apology though so I used it and my $10 gift card to buy Kirby and the Rainbow Curse. Guess I'm not getting MK and now I have to wait for Gamestop to get my MM.
So, at this point that comes out to ~$27.50 each

Damn! Why is the bidding so high??? If you were to find all of them at retail and at Toys R Us, you would pay $434.11. I'm using 7% tax, so adjust up or down a bit for that. Even cheaper if you find them somewhere other than Toys R Us.
It seems like it would be better to seek out the rare ones individually. With these, you'll be stuck with a bunch of commons that either:
1) You already have
2) You don't want
3) You're paying more than retail for.
It doesn't make any sense!

It's perfect for someone who doesn't want to look, has looked and failed, or is rich and doesn't care to look. Sure $434 is how much they are worth retail, but you can't find any of them retail, especially ALL the rares now.
I wouldn't be surprised if this hit $1000. Didn't a complete Wave 1 & 2 hit close to $1k?

Do you think it would be ok if I asked the employees if I can look at all the Ikes they have to choose from one that looks nice if I have an In-store pick up, or would that be a dickish thing to do?

Just got my Sonic and Mega Man from Amazon UK, have no idea if it's early or late since Nintendo really screwed up the release dates after Wave 2.
Sonic's fine, a little dab of red shoe paint on the cuff of his left leg but nothing serious, and his running pose is cool. Mega Man is definitely the best looking amiibo I have now though.
I'm still in two minds to buy Ike and Robin from Shopto and Shulk from elsewhere, or just keep my final amiibo to Pac-Man for now...

Mega Man should be next week. That's what an employee at my GS said.
Toys R Us is the *only* shop nearby (among the 12 I visited, which corresponds to the totality of shops as far as I know that still sells Amiibos in a 50km radius) that had more than 8-9 Amiibos. And nearly all of them were leftovers.
I managed to find a Megaman and a Sonic, and haven't seen a single of the three others.
Most of the shops aren't even restocking Amiibos. The one that do put them on sale when they receive it, which is completely random.
I'd dare to say that it's probably at least as bad as most US cities...

Hoping for a bestbuy.com refresh but we'll see. Target did it and Gamestop did it for a second shipment so heres hoping they do one either way.

The guy first in line said he felt like a jerk for taking the only Meta Knight. I didn't mind so much though -- he'd been standing outside in the cold for 2 hours and I only got there 15 mins before opening, so it was totally fair.

Whoo! Turns out our Best Buy had six left after pre-orders, and I just got my ticket. Meta Knight in 30 minutes!
Switch to 100 posts per page, it makes fast-moving threads more manageable.
Thats not true and alot of peoples Lucario's were cancelled at least most people that preordered shulk got him. Not to mention we know more will available later as gamestop has already confirmed it kinda via leaked memo.

Huh? That is all based on accounts here and online. More Lucarios were available than Shulks.
Not where I live by a LONG shot total of 6 Lucarios in 2 stores and my preorder as well as two others I know got sold away.
As for Shulk I have 7 gamestops each had in excess of 8 granted all were preorders... but still... 1 had 2 extra... they were gone in seconds obviously...

I didn't go for Miibos this morning, but I did go right after open and wait around for 40 minutes for them to locate their copies of Kirby and the Rainbow Curse that should've been on the shelves already. I wish I had no incentive/reason to shop there.

I had Meta Knight preordered from December in store, picked him up this morning. They had to hunt for my box but other than a little delay, everything was fine. My Ike and Dedede will be waiting for me on Wednesday at GS and I'll see if my MegaMan is in. So far so good. Eighteen amiibo and no hassles (other than a blizzard).
Good luck shipping that. I put 18 amiibos in a box, and good lord that was a big box and I had to work some serious magic to get them all to fit without damaging them.
29 and all that other stuff? They will probably ship multiples I would guess. Well, at the rate the auction is going, it's not like they can't afford it.
