Games you unashamedly want more devs to copy

Title basically says it all: Are their any single titles, series, or niche sub-genres where you honestly wouldn't mind if more developers tried to replicate them?

A few years ago, I would have said Monster Hunter, but that actually sort of happened to some extent. Thanks to Gods Eater, Toukiden, Souls Sacrifice, and a few others, "Hunting Action" is now a thing.

If you asked me right now, I'd say Souls. We've heard lots of games claim to be distantly inspired by Dark/Demon's Souls in some way, but only one real sincere attempt to emulate it with Lords of the Fallen. The other formula that I'd really like to see more of is the FPS+Diablo-like mix demonstrated by Borderlands and Destiny, because it resonates with me on a deep, personal level for reasons I don't entirely understand.

Tactics Ogre

There are hardly any SRPG games even released every year. Most are way too easy to be any fun. They also usually have bad stories. Tactics Ogre has branching paths.

I want more stealth games like Metal Gear Solid. I love the MGS stories, but I wish there were more good 3D stealth titles without the emphasis on hour-long cutscenes.

Metroid Prime. I would kill for any publisher/dev to have a GOOD "sci-fi exploration/survival, single protagonist vs environment + huge bosses" series. Like really, just get the whole thing and not include Metroids or Samus. I need more games like this in my life.

Also, GOOD Zelda/Soul Reaver clones. I need more.

Silent Hill too.

System Shock. No, the Bioshock games don't count. They don't even come close. Well, Bioshock 1 tried, at least.

Atelier series. The time limits give JRPGs a nice macro level challenge and the crafting system has nice interdependencies but isn't too complex.

With Bloodborne a month away the only reason to be asking for others to copy the Souls gameplay is because you don't own a PS4. Lords of the Fallen is a prime example why you shouldn't want copies.

Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons

Brothers told an amazing story through mechanics, and I'll take that over hours of Naughty Dog and Blizzard cut scenes any day.

I want everyone to mimic Shenmue, and make proper adventure games that don't just revolve around combat of some form, but also puzzles and investigating, talking with several NPCs and twirling random objects around in your hand until you give yourself a sore wrist. Really detailed environments and atmosphere by the boatload would also be appreciated.

-The depth of story from the Metal Gear Solid games.

-Gunplay from Killzone 2

-Multiplayer like Halo (sort of arena based, headshot focused gunfights)

I think that's all I got for now.

^ This.

I bet we see devs copying the "Destiny" formula in the near future as well. I'm sure they'll be smart enough to have 10x the content as well.

Super Mario RPG, or whichever game came up with interactive combat in those types of games. Final Fantasy and the like are so boring to me when compared to Super Mario RPG, Paper Mario, and Mario and Luigi. I like being able to crit and whatnot because I timed a keypress perfectly.

Gears of War ... no, just joking.

I want more games like ICO, The Shadow of the Colossus and Journey.

Metroid Prime

First-Person
Platforming
Scan visor or some equivalent
Upgrade-based progression in one interconnected world (or hell, I'd even accept multiple worlds like Corruption)
3D map
Huge bosses

There are so many 2D Metroid clones. Why hasn't anyone done a 3D Metroid clone?

I own a PS4 and I want "copies" because I also want more devs to experiment with some of the mechanics of the Souls series and see if anything new and exciting comes of that.

Also, while not perfect, Lords of the Fallen was considered a solid game by many and easily one of the best things City Interactive and Deck 13 have done in quite some time. It's pretty presumptuous to tell other people what they should or shouldn't want.

Try South Park: The Stick of Truth. It's basically Paper Mario: M-Rated Edition.

Tom Clancy's EndWar. Please, please someone do this. I don't even need the voice controls, I just really like the idea of upgrading individual units and persistent units that can carry over and even potentially be killed.

Dragon quest 5/ Pokemon/ no no kuni. I love the idea of catching creatures and getting them to fight for you. I wonder if it could be done in a non turn based way.

Soul Reaver and Shadowman. That brand of epic scope action adventure is deader now than the collectathon platformer :(

Alpha Protocol's conversation system (removing the 'need' to go back and read every line of dialogue, and making conversations in branching-path RPGs more of a game element instead of just an info dump and quest source)

Shadow of Mordor's Nemesis system: obviously you can't copy it entirely, since your character dying over and over wouldn't work in most games, but the core concept of unique and dynamic enemies who grow and change over the game are feel like thorns in your side beyond just being a dude you killed once.

Elder Scrolls Online's crafting: I normally hate crafting in MMOs, but I think ESO did a pretty great job of making it approachable (since everyone can gather materials, and automatically knows all the basic gear recipes for their race), and diverse (since each race has different equipment appearances, and you can gain/learn them by finding the recipes randomly). It really leads to even low-level areas being full of diverse character looks.
