Anyone deal with bias/unfair treatment by a person above you?

Just as a rule of thumb, complaining about NeoGAF moderation is much better suited to PMs with mods than public threads.

We don't need this drama.

The politics around posters and moderation should all be handled behind doors. If you had a dispute with moderation playing favorites, take it up with their boss in a PM. This is cringeworthy, and while it is admirable for you to take a stand on something important to you, decorum is completely lost. I can only speak for myself, but I believe a post for all to see is going to be counterproductive, and a big gamble on your part. edit: And... He's gone.

Airing out PM's? Yeah, no.

What happened?

Had a former boss (she has since retired) treat me in a very condescending way because I was both young and male (in a profession largely dominated by middle-aged females). Suggested that my gender might prevent me from properly doing my job on a couple of occasions, which was ridiculous. I passively tolerated it more than I should have, and it's too late to do anything about it now. Talking about it is usually met with some permutation of "check your privilege" so I shut up.

Well, to be honest, that's probably something that happens to women far more than it does to men in pretty much every occupation except for perhaps nursing and childcare. So, I can understand why some people might see you bringing that up as perhaps a reason to "check your privilege", so to speak, as being a male does mean that's less likely to happen to you in general.

Of course, I understand you being upset with that...but I think you should hold that grudge against a society which enforces such rigid gender norms, rather than an individual.
