Seriously Spring is becoming Fall and the Summer is startibg to see releases again. A Brave New World.

Yep. In the end, all that will matter is how good the game is, not when it came out.

Also, if this means that employees don't have to crunch, then good for Naughty Dog. (On the other hand, if it means they'll basically be in crunch mode for the next year, then ND can screw off.)

There's already more than plenty coming out this year that we know about, and more to be revealed as the year goes on. Chin up, people, it's really not that bad.

i know there is a lot of games coming is just that i had this game pre-ordered since it went up on the PSN last year... i had contained the hype pretty well but this just killed it. damn it

now im just gonna wait for the email and cancel it, gonna buy toukiden with that credit
still buying uncharted just gonna pre-order on a closer date to release

Soooo...basically PS4's 2016 spring will be godlike with two giant exclusives. Street Fighter 5 and UC4...interesting. I wonder will xbox dominate the holidays then just get rolled during the new year.

That's a shame. I'll forgive them if they release UC2 at 60 FPS with the original multiplayer. I'm sure there will be tons of indie and multiplats to play once again at the end of the year anyway. And if MS get their shit together and release a slim console along with Tomb Raider, I'll get that. Otherwise I'll continue to destroy my PS4 backlog.

LOL no one expected Morpheus to come out this year. As for U4, eh the PS4 platform has games coming out through the year so its not big lost really. MGS5 comes out in September and we really have no real idea what else is coming out in the fall.

You realize at least one of those is getting delayed until the holidays... At least you'll have some remasters in the mean time!

Shocking, this was kinda obvious when Amy left. Certainly disappointing but I guess they need the extra time to make uc4 the best game it can be

Ps4 will still outsell Xbox this fall barring a price drop.

Considering they are in competition with another company that is hitting the dates they set and releasing multiple big exclusives every year, I'd say it makes a difference. Sony can absorb one lost holiday season. Two is a much worse scenario. They can only do that so long before the momentum starts getting away from them.

Oddly enough, I have to disagree. Sony wont delay UC4 after this delay, and Capcom cant delay SF5 because they want to make sure the game is at EVO 2016. So, I think these two games are both locked to early 2016, easily.

Yes but I was thinking about buying a PS4 now before my new Mac, but in the end I decided to get the Mac first. That's why I said it'll have to wait, not just because Uncharted is being delayed.

That's not really the point though. As a consumer what matters is the quality of their offerings, not how well the games (and the platform) sell.

yeah that's par for the course with Nintendo though. their games always show better as time goes on. see: 3D World. also off-screen footage was off-screeny.


and I was just talking in general and including last holiday too. if the Wii U were an attractive console to consumers it'd be straight up killing it right now. it will have essentially had three holiday seasons to itself as far as big first party titles are concerned.

This game always felt as one that would not release this year.

Naughty Dog know what they are doing. If they feel Uncharted 4 will not release in its proper state by the end of this year, they know for damn sure what it needs to be a true successor to Uncharted 2.

Most of them are multiplatform, there are a few japanese exclusives like Persona 5 and Dragon Quest Heroes but they are relatively niche.
Uncharted being delayed is like Halo being delayed, it's a huge thing and a blow to the holiday lineup, people have to be honest on this.
If they know that they have other big games planned which will be announced later this year (something like the R&C reboot + some big surprise like TLG finally being ready or whatever) then it might be justified, otherwise it's a huge fuck up that puts a serious question on how Yoshida is handling first party development (both quality and quantity have not been up to expectations so far).
