"Its just a video game" isn't a valid excuse, thats gamergate-speak. Art is where change has to happen first. Despite what some of you would like to believe, exposure to art/media does influence a person's worldviews.

What if Quite was a man once and now after years of depression she transitioned and wants to show off her feminine features because she's confident in who she is and ain't no man telling her what to wear.

That's a big advance in Play Arts Kai technology, finally something that doesn't look like it's made of stone.
Sure can try though,people theorize she is genetically modified to get certain powers through solar energy, thus more skin more energy. Whatever the hell you make out of it , i won't bet people are going to be satisfied with any answer since most have already made up their mind.

People will take anything and run it into the ground with hyperbole even if something like this figure is not the first or worse example of it.
Just as you will have those that think this is some kind of new trend and assume the absolute worst when in actuality these sorts of figures existed for long, long before this one. This sort of the thing doesn't appeal to me, but I am not going to act surprised and be ignorant of the fact this thing has been a thing for YEARS in Japan. Comiket and the Store comment on Akibahara is a good example what I mean.
Of course having people acknowledge this and instead push the "OMG gross, Shame you Kojima, agenda" well it's generally the always the latter and not the former.
