And they don't release Rime on Steam. Fuck logic.
Rime is funded by Sony.

Looks dope !
The art style is simply incredible. The game feels like Ico met Zelda Wind Waker.
My only concern is the fact that the same studio worked on "Dead Light" which was nothing to brag about.
It's a completely different type of game. Bungie also made Oni, which was pretty bad. I would have been more worried if they were making Deadlight 2.Looks dope !

Okay, but what if he's on his lunch break, or he's in charge of their social media presence?

This is not new, in fact its from the reveal trailer, but it still makes me go "WOW."

RIME |OT| What Rimes with Ico?
The combat and animations were decent. Everything else was bad.
That game is great.
Even if you ignore the fact that Sony is publishing and funding Rime, and Tequila Works seem happy with the relationship, the fact it needed sales to survive is in no way a healthy work business model.

I'm in the process of translating it, but it can take a while. If you want to help, come here:

Article, also in spanish: http://www.xataka.com/consolas-y-vi...ue-sonamos-con-hacer-el-mejor-juego-del-mundo
Some main points, though:
The RIME IP belongs to Sony.
Main inspirations are Sorolla, Dalí, Ghibli and Chirico.
The studio got saved by Deadlight's sales on Steam, but it will be a PS4 exclusive. It's expected to be released this year.
WHAT? I did not know this
RIME |OT| Its prime time for RIME! Watch it shine for $19.99.

Excellent!I watched the video, here are a few points I thought were worth translating for those interested:
- You're playing an eight-year-old on an island in the Mediterranean. There is a strong focus on exploration.
- The atmosphere is a core part of the game. They specifically state how important their dynamic sound/music is to the experience.
- They're avoiding text boxes and outright telling the player what or how to do things. They feel modern games tell too much to the player and it ruins the experience.
- The art-style is heavily influenced from the paintings of Joaquín Sorolla.
- They're not going for a hardcore experience, where you're heavily punished for failing, but some intelligence is required for the puzzles and island navigation.
Saw a guy in the video browsing Twitter and Spotify instead of working :/

It was revealed pretty early on. Sony is funding the game. I don't see why people are so mad.
The game got rejected by Microsoft and the game wouldn't exist were it for Sony supporting them.
Indeed. I did that all time at work, and always delivered on time or earlier. If I couldn't take internet-surfing breaks every now and then I'd actually be less productive.Stupidest thing I've read all day. In what kind of tightass computer-based job nowadays would an employee not be allowed to browse the net and/or listen to music ?
Everyone does that everywhere.
What matters is that you do the work well and on time, not which internet tabs you've got open at any point in time.
Very interesting, thanks for the info!I watched the video, here are a few points I thought were worth translating for those interested:

The first thing that popped in my head when I saw this game was it's ico with colors, lol.- They were nervous to be compared to ICO and Wind Waker, their general influences weren't those two games
It's great to see Sony giving devs a lot of freedom, just a shame that they don't have a good line up this year -_-
Deadlight was pretty disappointing (I still beat it), but this game looks soooo gooood.
