Here are our player assignments. I've also come to a conclusion. I think it would be quite unfair to stop Palmer_v1 from playing as one of our most enthusiastic players, which would be the case if we stuck to 22/22/22, as he is the player with 67th priority. So, I will, as discussed early, allow trials for two players to play in two games. There will be some conditions for entry: you must have been in at least one previous game, and you must have been one of the top five most active posters for that game. This means the following players have earnt the right to apply, if they want to do so:

Timeaisis
Zippedpinhead
squidyj
EzekelRAGE
Haly
CzarTim
AbsolutBro

If more than two of these players apply, then I'll assign them randomly. If less than five apply, I'll loosen the restrictions slightly.

The second consequence of this is that we have no waiting list to draw replacements from (unless people sign-up after I post this, which, if you are reading this and want to sign-up, you definitely can do). There are two policies I have in response to this.

First: If you applied to play in two games, and ended up playing in one, and are still alive, you will be on stand-by to play two games.
If a replacement is needed, you will be drawn.
Be aware that because of this, you can't change your mind if you apply to play two games (otherwise people might read into that and it could affect how the games play) - you must decide now, BEFORE role PMs are sent out.
You also will not be able to enter the Dead Thread if you die, unless there is a pool of at least three replacements already available.

Second: If you die, you may choose to not to receive a link to the Dead Thread and instead enter the replacement list.
If someone needs replacing, you will enter that game.
If you get tired of waiting to be a replacement, you can opt at any time to enter the Dead Thread, but you cannot then act as a replacement.
People in this second group will take priority over those in the first group, as those in the first group are already playing in at least one game.

I will shortly be sending out a standardized core rule-set and quick checklist guide to game-runners. Applications for two-game players will also be open from now (just send me a PM). Aside from that, now that I have been assigned to a game, and will be given a role PM shortly, any rule or policy deliberations will be handled by Karkador and MattyG to avoid conflict of interest etc.

The game moderators are free to post their game threads in Community with the flavourful intro, and the finalized ruleset can be edited in once I've sent it and they've made any necessary additions/changes.

Christ, all those filthy AC players... it's on!

I count two 3-game vets in me and Quantumbro. Ten 2-game vets, of which only two are from Star Wars, seven from AC, and El Topo returning from Crab's Game 1. That's 11 entirely new players(not counting our ONUW experiments). Welcome to the game, folks!

0 Hutts carried over(unless you count me), and I've forgotten who the AC HHA were. Not a lot of grudges to carry into this game as far as I can see.

Just a quick reminder to game-runners: allow a few days (at least 3) before sending out role PMs, both to allow ONUW to finish and so that I can deal with any last potential issues that may pop up. You can, as mentioned, post the flavour part of your game thread and reserve a second post which will have the rules edited in. When you do send out the role PMs, try and co-ordinate a single date with the other game-runners so you can all start roughly at the same time. Thank you!

Fair enough, but one player doesn't make a game.

We have Septimus Prime, which I assume means he's better than Optimus Prime. There's GreatLord Tiger, not just a lord but a great lord and a tiger? That ain't even fair. Who else do we have? Oh yeah, TheGoddamn. Don't think I have to elaborate. Last but not least we have roytheone. Like Neo, except Roy.

Is this the best game? YesNOnoNOYes.

FYI, so far I've probably had the most input in Ourobolus's game (though a very minimal part of his overall whole, which he's done a good job on) Take that as you will.

Alright! Thanks for the great work, Crab. Traube, this is my first time, so please be gentle.

Anyway, there's no one that I recognize on traube's game's list other than retro and nin, so I guess I'm going in mostly free of prejudices and preconceptions. PMs on who not to trust are welcome!

You can't actually communicate via PM about on-going games. I mean, we can't stop you because it's private, but if we work out we'd take some sort of action and it's bad sportsmanship anyway.

That said, before the game starts, I would say don't trust Darryl.

I kind of wanted to trade last round, but in hindsight, it worked out best to just play it where it lies. The fluff is the smallest part of Mafia/Werewolf.

I'm keeping trades locked for the time being; I'm waiting to see how well more flavour-intensive games work under the current system.

for what it's worth, I have no idea what a dangan is or how it ronpas, but I'm prepared to ronpa my dangan with the best of them.

I might've been a bit unfair, so let's have a quick look at the other games.

LaunchpadMcQ has Crab, master strategist and living legend. Okay, but who else is there? A few great veterans like Barrylocke. Okay, seems promising. Who else? There's ANuclearError. That sounds pretty bad, right? A Human Becoming? Not even a human? Even babies are human, come on. Zippedpinhead? Been there, done that. Then there's the Rest. Good team, fantastic actually, but correct me if I'm wrong, they don't even have a tiger.

Let's look at traube's game. There's Neuromancer. Great book, but great player? We'll see. There's Blargonaut, who's given us the most memorable moment in GAF's short Mafia history. Some fantastic veterans, like ultron87, Tucah, Coppanuva, MattAttack, Darryl, Timeaisis, RetroMG, OceanicAir and nin1000. Great team, but better than Ourobolus' team? Never Forever.

I rest my case.

Glad you're okay with us starting up the ONUW mini-game. I was concerned it would distract from the recruitment and setup of the actual games.

Nah, anything that gets this community attracting new members and retaining old ones in a stable manner is good in my book. Something like ONUW is great for filling the gaps. I look forward to potentially playing!

It has been my absolute pleasure to do it. It's super fun.

I'm glad Crab's okay with it. I was nervous about running ONUW 2 so close to the start of season 3. I almost cancelled it a little while ago. I love doing ONUW, but I don't want to detract from the main event. These people came to see Pink Floyd, not the crappy opening act.
