Demon's Age Announced for PS4/XB1/PC (Q1 2016) - Turn-Based RPG - Bigmoon Studios

Bigmoon Entertainment today announced Demons Age, a brand new title that brings together the characteristics of a classic turn-based roleplaying game with modern graphics and a gripping atmosphere. Demons Age takes console and PC gamers on a thrilling adventure in either single character or party mode in which they must explore ancient ruins, mystical places and mysterious dungeons while battling dangerous opponents along the way. Demons Age is slated to launch on Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC in Q1 2016. For more information about Demons Age, please visit: www.demonsage.com.

“We are all fans of dark fantasy and role-playing games, so many voices and ideas have gone into making Demons Age a game that fans of this genre will really enjoy”, said Paulo J. Games from Bigmoon Entertainment. “We didn’t limit ourselves to building just a classical turn-based RPG game, but wanted to create a game with the features and gameplay that we look for in a console or PC title, too”.

About Demons Age

Moragon has once again been invaded by Demons. The corrupted soldiers of the “Order” along with orcs and demons have swept the Peninsula of Moragon from north to south in a violent and bloody war against Elves, Dwarves, Halflings and Men. The adventure begins when the player washes ashore along the coast of this war ridden peninsula and is thrown into intrigue full of tragedy and betrayal. In line with classic turn-based roleplaying mechanics, Demons Age first tasks players to set up their character and later allows them to hire a party of diverse characters to help them on their adventure.

Each hired character has their own secrets and back-story, so players must choose their party wisely and beware of potential betrayals. Players can level-up their characters playing through the main story and also side quests, receiving rewards as they help the citizens of Moragon all the while searching for the cause of the mysterious event that has plunged the kingdom into evil darkness. Solving puzzles allows players to progress through the game, and they can find and equip a host of different weapons to defeat foes. Combining a lavish look with the dense atmosphere of a classic dungeon crawler, Demons Age is designed to appeal to new and old fans of turn-based fantasy role-playing games, and true to the genre. There is danger lurking around every corner.

Not sure I saw a thread for this? Did a search for "demon" "Demon's Age" and "Bigmoon" but no hits

I apologize in advance if you clicked here reading the title as Dragon Age, Demon's Souls, or the like :p

A lot of the time JRPGs get bagged on for always sticking to its tropes and cliches, but holy crapazoid,am I the only one getting tired of yet another orc, elf and straw roof huts rpg?...I'm just tired of the setting. I enjoy these types of games though, especially for its gameplay but if I see another LOTR Orlando Bloom looking dude, i might just explode...
..
that said. Looking forward to this (^^)/

"Elves, Dwarves, Halflings and Men"

Aka. We have no creativity do we'll rip off Tolkien more...

And lol at the name. Dragon's Age + Demon's Souls = Demon's Age right?

How about a game where you actually play as the Demons?

Demon Sage would be a better name, the developer's catalogue doesn't excite me, and they're saying everything you'd expect, but--in spite of all this--I'll get excited anyways.

I look forward to their future title the Stitcher.

NinjaEdit: Oh, I glossed over the fact that it's turn-based and D20-ish. As it should be.

Ummm you do realize that elves, dwarves, halflings and men long existed in stories before Tolkien's ones right? That's like people who think nine tailed foxes and other Japanese mythology came from Naruto.

Yeah but most elves, dwarves etc. that you find in video games and fantasy stories today are modelled after the Tolkien variant, not the Nordic myth ones. Also, elves, dwarves etc. are really fucking boring by now.

The title and the description makes this game seem incredibly generic.
This. The art style is incredibly generic as well. In fact, it looks like there is absolutely nothing unique about this game. It looks like a checklist RPG. Sword Coast Legends looks generic as well but at least they have an innovative game mechanic (dungeon master, an asynchronous 4 vs 1 multiplayer mode).

I was wondering why would Bioware rerelease Dragon Age for PS4, Xbone and PC, then I noticed turnbased and figured something was up

oic

Toukiden is the age of demons.

I swear to god they already made this game on Ps2/xbox though

fake edit: no that was Demon Stone, which I grew up with a fucking problem with the same" they already made this though" with a game called DarkStone

what do you think is more likely:

This will be a fresh or unique take on those fantasy races from various mythologies or that it'll be the same shit as seen in every fantasy game since 1974

Hi, I'm nortonff. I spend my life going into threads to say that I don't care about the topic of the thread. It's a really good use of my time.
That's the most generic name I've ever seen in my life.

Trailer reminded me of Chaos Chronicles. :'(

Hopefully this game isn't cursed like that one, and actually turns out good as well.

Quite possibly one of the most generic game names I've ever heard.

It's so bad that I've already forgotten it since the time I started writing this reply.
