What playable fighters would you like to see in an Injustice sequel?

Injustice: Gods Among Us is totally going to get a sequel, and what's more it's probably going to be announced relatively soon. Based on the original game's sales, this is pretty much a no-brainer. At this point, you know, I know it and NetherRealm Studios know it.

So what characters would you like to see make it into the next game's roster who didn't necessarily make the cut the first time around?

Personally, I'd really like to see John Constantine as a playable character in the next game. Probably a bit of a left field choice but I could totally see them making the guy work. The guy could use a wide variety of occult magic whilst casting a wide variety of illusions to defeat his opponents, perhaps also by summoning the odd demon or two on the side. Constantine also has a pretty unique, world weary personality which I think could really help him stand out from the crowd.

Great shout on Constantine - there are a lot of really cool possibilities with him.

If I can be unoriginal and raid the Batman rogue's gallery, I think Mr Freeze would be a good inclusion.

First, I want to say that Injustice is the worst fighting game I played this generation.
I kinda don't want my favorite dude Constantine on it because he deserves more ...

THAT BEING SAID, DC character that would fit Injustice are :

Etrigan
Swamp Thing

and more villains. LOTS of villains. Grodd specialy

Well, Darkseid obviously. Wouldn't mind seeing Grodd as well. As for heroes, Black Canary and Static would be awesome.

PlasticMan would be cool. My first thought was to be like Dhalsim, but based on how strong zoning is in the first Injustice, I think that might be OP.

The concept I really want to see realized would be DC Cinematic Universe vs DC Injustice Universe. So you'd have Affleck's Batman squaring off against the version used in the last game. Maybe keep folding it in on itself, introduce the variants seen in the Arkham games, or the TV universe. Shit, get Lego Batman in there.

Gimme all the Batmen, punching each other forever.

Ive thought about this a lot. Forgive me...

Use the Forever Evil story from the comics and the evil Crime Syndicate counterparts

  • has simple progression of variation system from MKX
  • choose between alternate reality versions of the Justice League - similar to variations
  • ex. Owlman is more lethal and armed than Batman, Ultraman is more brutal and powerful, Sea King has the hook hand, etc.
  • story follows the Forever Evil event pretty closely with a large chunk being playing as Injustice League against Crime Syndicate
  • allows for a story that doesnt force heroes to fight one another
  • also lets villain roster and stories be fleshed out since heroes are initially incapacitated
  • Darkseid comes to the tell everyone that Anti-Monitor is behind it all, everyone teams up to kill him before going back to own worlds (only because I want to play as Darkseid honestly)

I think the Injustice Sequel has been a thing for a while, but how much information about it do we know exactly?

Although, it would be funny for WB to do fighting game with Marvel characters, and we get Raven Software to do an Ultimate DC Alliance game.

Then again, the first game never really clicked for me. I own it on 3 different systems, yet I only played the campaign once and maybe a dozen regular matches total.
