So my PC is shit anyway, I probably don't even mind if the game locked to 640 x 480

Would Shymponia work ok for me?

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! On one hand it's TravelersTales but on the other it's W fucking B publishing. Then again it is a LEGO game and flipping Star Wars LEGO at that. I don't know if I can hold on to my principals (not that I had many).

Edit: Someone has ghetto-capture the trailer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I7fDogSptXc

My wallet is trembling. This looks waaaaay higher quality in terms of rendering than any of the previous LEGO games. Haven't played Jurassic World (or I guess The Avengers) yet to know if Tt are on a new engine but looking mighty fine I must say.

Well you cant change the resolution up nor down but about the only saving grace for the game is that it's stupidly light on resources. Like using 8-15% of my GPU in the hour of gameplay I braved. Honestly I'd rather not enable something of this quality from a publisher with considerable financial clout.

Backlog's too big, otherwise I would give Fairy Fencer a shot.

do it, backlog is just a library, nothing to worry about.

I already own Disgaea 1 on the PS 2 (with the much superioir Etna Voice!) and on NDS (which I haven't played at all, I haven't even finished chapter 1). Not sure if I should buy this one again. D:

of course you should, unless you don't want more Disgaea on PC

What is your purchase limit for this year? 5, 10, 20 games? :D

LEGO and Star Wars games are the exception dex!

Though I haven't set any stupid purchasing restrictions this year. Probably because I know I won't keep to them.

I can agree with that, i would buy new Star Wars SP game like right now and play it at 640x480 if i had to. But tnx to EA i am probably safe until next year XD

People have been reporting crashes.
I'll just wait until they iron out the bugs + hopefully someone gets the resolution unlocked.

I've been playing Path of Exile, last time I played it was 2 years ago. The game had some changes, like the skill tree being reworked, new skill gems added, some boss battles are different and so on. Too bad my old characters are pretty much broken now, but at least I can experience what changed with a fresh start.

I'm confused. Why are there two Stean threads?

As I understood it, after morningus posted his thread, MrOrange posted another thread anyway.
and I wonder what makes this one legitimate when another one was first and we all agreed on it being posted.
But what do I know.

The thread title says it all.
it says a lie
first come, first serve
in my eyes, first one is always legitimate, when agreed upon

So close to my Scholar of the First Sin 100% I can almost taste it. Then I will be ready for Dark Souls 3.

Do you still need to get to NG+3 to get all the sorceries? I used the air walking glitch to do it in the original, not sure if that's still possible.

Hate stuff like that.

Oh well, guess I'll wait for Stump's verdict.

Yeah they left it with either doing the 2.5 playthroughs to get the last 3 spells or do the ridiculous covenant grind that's near impossible. It does suck, but the last .5 shouldn't take that long.

how long it took you?
just curious, not ever going to try it myself

edited: after ToS fiasco it's clear that everyone should just hire IF to be their consultants on PC ports. I don't see any other way.

I'm at 77 hours played right now and while I am super familiar with DS2's original release I didn't try to do this 100% efficiently or anything. You can probably do the whole thing in 50 or so.

I killed another Dragon in Dragon's Dogma. Like the first one, he was outside the Shadowgate Fort.
The fight went so much smoother than the first time, with the pawns only fainting 3 or 4 times. Best part was that a couple pieces of gear I was wearing got Dragonforged. I had no idea Dragonforging gear worked like that. I'm actually not sure how Dragonforging works (is it random? Do I have to get fire-breathed? Do I just have to kill the Dragon?), I'll have to read up on it.

Basically, when you kill any dragon, your gear has a chance to get Dragonforged, the chance is greater with further upgraded gear. 3-star equipment is dragonforged fairly often

Spoilers for dragon related stuff follow:

You killed a drake, drakes have a chance to dragonforge a piece of equipment (I think it must have been upgraded first)
The big dragon dragonforges all your equipped things (except rings) same goes for the UR dragon.

I'm really bummed about the Tales of Symphonia port. I have really come to hate these lackluster ports on PC. That's not what I were expecting when I build my first gaming PC.

Is the protagonist in Disgaea 1 the same as in 5? Is it the same protagonist in the entire series then?

After Phinor and Phawx posts, I read and watched more about GPU overclocking, the easy & safe*, non-voltage editing kind.

XSNqHFz.png

Look at those gains, just look! Sheesh, the 970 has basically a 980 inside. In many cases even a very slightly more o_O Insane when you think about the price delta!
Even more, it trumps a 780Ti, a very expensive card which is only the previous model series. Holy smokes!

Can someone explain these numbers to me?

I have a 780 but I never overclocked it.

I hope they go back to the Lego Star Wars 1/2 format of having a very simple hub that functions exclusively as a neat level select for TFA instead of doing another God-awful open world area. It's so fucking tedious in each game to even just go from level to level.

unfortunately people really like open world games, they sell big and while it's so, everybody will give us what we "want".
I don't really like open worlds, maybe because I like concentrated fast games that are fun and have clear goals, while wondering around mostly empty worlds is not my understanding of fun, even if these are pretty.
yeah, I know that's not what you are talking about, but I thought I'll take this opportunity to grumble a little.

I really should go back to DD. I hit 15 hrs or so, and just kind of stopped. I'm having trouble focusing on games.

I have almost 50 hours in Trails SC and no problem with focus either.
Maybe you are playing a wrong game?
just sayin

Anyone try out Pocket Rumble? Seems like a neat concept for a fighter. I'll probably check it out once they add a few more characters.

That's a good point. I do want to give Trails a shot, especially with the Steam Controller.
