Are you going digital or physical for Street Fighter V? Which SKU are you copping?

Was going to buy a physical copy initially, but decided I couldn't wait for amazon to deliver it. Also wanted to play it before I went to work.

Gotta go digital. Don't feel like getting up and switching discs if I just want to get a few rounds in.

I go physical for RPG's and Action/Adventure games and stuff.

Things I just want to be able to pop on for a quick session, I will usually go digital.

These rules are always superseded by price. If there is an insane sale on something I will grab it regardless of format.

Call me when the Complete Edition releases, with a full story mode and all DLC characters included on disc.

That... might take quite a while. They've already said they're not going to do any Super or Ultra versions like they did with SF4 and they're probably just going to keep adding characters every year until the new SF drops in like 5-6 years.

I went with Steam because it was significantly cheaper. Got the game for ~$45 and it won't require buying a brand new $200 stick. I preferred playing SFIV on a PC monitor over my TV anyway.

I have it pre ordered on psn before costumes were announced. I'll have to buy the Cammy best buy costume I guess

Probably getting a physical copy from Amazon. Can't ignore that Prime discount and free release day shipping. This also means I'm getting the Bison alt which I will happily trade anyone for the gamestop Ryu alt.

My first digital $60 purchase. I've found it a lot more appealing to keep fighters on the HDD, since I tend to play in short, impromptu bursts.

I haven't been following the costume situation, but they're separating costume exclusives this time around?

You can buy them, right?

Speaking of versions, anybody know how much space this game takes up?
I went to the site and looked at the SFV page:

I don't think that's on the level.

The Steam version. I don't know why people are double dipping when it has Cross-Play.

Mods on PC is a tempting option.

Gotta have that full Mika butt slap back!

Plus the PC is basically the eternal platform. You don't have to worry about B/C and such.

i might get the digital for that same reason op. Having SFIV on my hard drive is so convenient. But I love my physical copies.

I pre-ordered the collector's edition, although I think going digital would have been better. Do I really need that Ryu statue?

Well, going physical doesn't save you any HDD space as all games are fully installed regardless of whether they are digital or physical. You can save internet bandwidth though if you are capped.

I assumed not everything from the disc was installed to the HDD? But whatever. The bigger clincher for me was the $12 discount anyhow.

With how SFV is looking, that would actually be years away.

Considering there's no SF4 version out there that includes all DLC 8 years after release, you'll be waiting until PS6 and Capcom releases a remaster.

I am also surprised at the number of people planning on double dipping. I don't think I've ever seen a thread where so many people are planning on buying two versions of the game.

I double dip on all fighters.

I love them. I need them everywhere.

PS4 digital because the same reason you stated OP

don't like switching discs for fighters.

Also gotta get that sweet chun li costume

PC Digital obviously

There are many reasons to buy a game on 2 platforms that don't relate to playerbase

Everything is. This is standard for both PS4/XB1 since launch.

The final size of the game will much bigger due to updates, though--patches, Story Mode, extra characters.

Physical EU regular version with season pass, plus a Japanese e-capcom limited volcanic edition. So physical, twice.
That's a lot of money for one game but hey, that's Street Fighter after all.
