Uplay isn't that offensive

This is the Harvest Moon clone, right?

I like the visuals on this.

Yeah it's still crashing exactly after 15 minutes each time. Wasn't the steam controller since that isn't plugged in.

There's a known issue with a Wacom tablet related service (or something like that), which is known to cause crashes every 15 minutes in both the SFV beta and USFIV. See this discussion. You can apparently disable the 'TabletInputService' for a more permanent solution.

I checked the roadmap content Capcom released and...basically the game will stay the same way it is now?
I mean, excluding characters and "improved lobby" (and story mode), the game will be the same.
But for characters you will still need to pay, maybe getting a couple for free.

It will be big when i see 3 AAA games that are using it from 3 different developers/publishers :D

It's now a choice of DX12 or Vulcan.

(Realistically, it was a choice for some time now, and it's a tough one. At least for non-game devs. An immediate pro for Vulcan: Windows 7. There are like twenty items affecting the choice.)

All 6 upcoming characters can be obtained for free via Fight Money.
There will obv. be rebalancing as the months progress, but otherwise, if the game's system isn't broken or there are cheap tactics, well as the saying goes 'if it ain't broken, don't fix it'.

Thought there was additional some stuff come June?

The stuff for June is Story Mode. And yeah, as I wrote maybe you can grab 2 characters for free, I doubt you will be able to take all of them without grinding for months.

Okay, just making sure.

I'm not at all shocked about that. I made that prediction month ago. Realistically, DLC is how they're going to get paid. They'll never make it easy to earn fight money in order to buy that stuff when they can deliberately make it difficult and get real money for it. This is Capcom.

It's weird because I don't have a Wacom.
But that did fix it.

The White March - Part 2 comes out today. I'm currently downloading a 2.6 gig patch for Pillars.

Final update notes for ver. 3.00:

http://forums.obsidian.net/blog/7/entry-190-update-notes-300/

New Features

  • New content for the Stronghold that has you, as lord or lady of Caed Nua, decide the fate of your vassals and send your companions on new and exciting adventures.
  • There is also a new quest line that allows you to defend your claim to Caed Nua (will be released in 3.0 final).
  • Knockout Injuries have been added as an option for those that want it. Injuries are added to characters that are knocked out in battle and are only removed by resting.
  • Story Time mode has been added. This difficulty setting is for people that want to experience the Pillars of Eternity story without having to build a party of adventurers focused on combat.
  • Athletics has been revamped so that it allows characters to cast Second Wind. A powerful healing ability. A higher Athletics skill increases the size of the heal.
  • Survival now grants rest bonuses. A higher Survival skill will unlock more rest bonuses or increase the strength of existing bonuses.
  • Many new creatures have been added to the Bestiary.
  • The Action Bar has been reorganized so that it is easier for players to see their Per Encounter, Per Rest, and Watcher abilities.
  • The end of the game (Act 3 and second half of Od Nua) has been revised to remove the number of "trash" encounters and increase their difficulty.
  • A high level scaling option has been included for anyone that enters Act 3 at a high level.

sf5 is extremely barebones, no arcade mode and then its not even worth doing survival or the "story" mode since you get no fight money since you can't connect to the servers.

So I finished the SFV "Story" mode that's included in the game. It's pretty short, finished all the characters in about 90 Minutes. It's a good idea on the surface, but the laziness of it really hurts it. The artwork is all over the place, and the very small snippets of story doesn't do much to keep the player interested. You could skip all the dialog if you wanted and still be in about the same place from before playing it. About the biggest take away I took from it is that A lot of the character's that show up in it are more than likely going to be DLC at some point. So Sean, C. Viper, Sakura, Azam, & Oro all seem like safe bets to me.

Going to try out the Survival mode next to try and get some colors, but I don't see myself playing too much of this outside of people here on SteamGAF wanting to play or when I have friends over for local VS.
So as it's been said, if you wanted the game you probably already bought it. If not, it really is just better to wait for more of the stuff to release. Aside from the weird wacom issue I had, and needing to update my GPU everything else has been solid so far. Outside of some weird server hiccups here and there.

about The Talos Principle/Vulkan... http://steamcommunity.com/app/257510/discussions/0/412447331651559970/

also...you have to download new Vulkan drivers for NVIDIA and AMD to get it to work

The Talos Principle - Update 257458 - public beta
Build 257458 for The Talos Principle is now available in beta "publicbeta", which does not require a password.

To install the beta, do this:
- locate the game in the Steam's "Library" panel
- right click and invoke "Properties"
- select the "Betas" tab
- choose "publicbeta"

NOTE: If you want to later change back from publicbeta to default, savegames may be lost! We test for forward upgrades, but not in the other direction.

Here are the changes:

New features:
- Added support for Vulkan graphics API. To use it, you must start The Talos Principle in 64-bit mode (when prompted by Steam's popup launcher). Then, in the game's menu, select Options / Graphics Options / Graphics API, and choose Vulkan from the drop-down menu. Of course, make sure you have the latest drivers installed prior to starting the game.

Bug fixes:
- Fixed a crash on game startup on OSX.

The option will appear only if you have a new driver that supports Vulkan - and if the driver supports it on your GPU (as this is a very new release, not all GPUs are supported yet). Which cards are supported depends on each vendor. Here are some lists:
https://developer.nvidia.com/vulkan-driver
http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/radeon-vulkan-beta.aspx

Given the expanded DLC plan, the price of the season pass will increase from the current $29.99 to $49.99 USD (£24.99 to £39.99 GBP; $49.95 to $79.95 AUD) on March 1, 2016. However, if you already purchased the season pass for $29.99, nothing changes - you still get everything at no additional cost— the full $60 offering of add-on content for the original price of $29.99. In addition, if you didn’t buy the season pass yet, there is still time: anyone who buys the Season Pass for $29.99 before March 1st will get all $60 worth of content. This is our way of saying thanks to all our loyal fans who have believed in us and supported us over the years.

LOL

Half of it sounds like Hearthfire-level quality.

And $25 for one DLC? It had better be one hell of an expansion to justify that cost.

Hmmm online still seems to be wonky for SFV. I can't create battle lounges and it's not finding ranked matches. SF4 the other day was just fine.
