Was there any change to that section in every game's page where it autoplays people streaming or videos of it? I personally find that feature to just be the worst and would really like a way to nuke it off of my feed entirely.

I was in the last beta. Looks like I'm not in this one even though I signed up on the first few mins it was announced. Also from the US.

I don't know why they haven't made it a proper beta programme like Xbox have, where you only have to sign up once and then you'd always receive whatever beta updates come out.

Makes no sense that we have to sign up every time for these.

It's so annoying how shitty a stream looks in heavy action games. I can just imagine how awful a warriors game looks.

Did they do something to download speeds with this update? My Wi-Fi connected PS4 is getting 1.4 Mbps down and 19.6 kbps up after the update. Before this it was getting at least 9-12 Mbps down and 2-3 Mbps up.

Don't see why people that were in the last beta seem to think they should have some priority over others that weren't. If anything they want to test with more different people. Don't see why a random selection should favour past participants.

Got in the beta, just finish downloading it, took about ~5 mins. And picking who I see online already bugged out on me.
I have 670 people on my friend's list

Still there, never really noticed it though before so I'm not sure if anything changed. When you hover over it it takes a few seconds to start the video.

Yeah it's pretty dumb considering all the feedback I supplied last time. Oh well, it's clearly a random selection process which is also a very dumb move.

I don't seem to get it, man. The way it works with Sony's Xperia phones is you need to connect a DS4 to the phone you use for remote play. It will be the same for PC, you connect the DS4 to it. And I'd guess they support other peripherals like some of the wheels you can use on PS4, too.

I think if peripherals are going to be compatible, they will need special official drivers for PC, just like some are hoping will happen with the DualShock 4 finally.

Oh, maybe I was wrong about the phones. Does the version that was hacked to work on tooted Android phones need a controller? I only looked into that, but didn't have a tooted phone to test.

I've gotten into every beta so far yet no email yet. I'm sure it's in waves to the server doesn't get stressed from so many people downloading it. Tonight hopefully.

Got in. First time ever the network speed test went 50mbs. And it's been holding that. My downloads are super fast ATM.

If I remember right this happened last time as well but got messed up soon after.

Notifications and appear offline are nice. Also there is a new notification that shows when your using Spotify/media player with the songs. Kinda nice.

^^^I don't think the speed tests are very accurate, mine states I get 30mb/s but still managed to get Uncharted 4 MP (7-8gb) in around 2-3 mins.

Just for the record, I just woke up my PS4 from rest mode and the disc that's in the system is the fourth item on the bar, after Broforce, bit.trip, and the media player.

To make sure it was actually in rest mode since my TV was off, I put it to sleep again and woke it up. Dragon Quest Heroes is still forth, despite the disc audibly spinning up. I don't automatically log in though, I wonder if that's the difference. All on the old firmware.

Not sure if this is new or I've just never seen it, but holy shit, you can finally disable the screenshot notification icon! Now I cxan finally take a bunch of screenshots in a row without capturing that stupid icon in the shots.
