Jim Sterling is being sued by Digital Homicide

To be fair, Jim does seem to be unfairly targeting them. It's kind of like bullying at this point to garner a reaction from Digital Homocide.
DH is going about this wrong way though.

There's thousands of crappy games on Steam, but he likes to focus on DH's for some reason. Again, probably because it invokes a reaction from them.

I watched a Jimquisition video like a year ago about these guys. I can't believe this feud is still ongoing. Jim's likely still making videos about them because they suck and they won't shut up.

The shit comments/threats that DH is getting are inexcusable.

But they have no case against Jim, they have to understand when to let go.

If you're going to make shit games, maybe don't make it so blatant.

This must have come as a result of his latest Best of Steam Greenlight video calling out DH for putting up 18 games on Greenlight. They probably thought he was too much of a meanie poop head for suggesting that good games take time and effort. I know they threatened him before plenty of times, so I guess this was the final straw for them.

insert morganfreemandarkknight"goodluck".gif here.

Jesus christ. I've watched Jim's videos on theses idiots and missed this. Just look at this shit. Watch that video and tell me that what Jim has said isn't the truth. I dare you to. But yea as mentioned that isn't. Lawsuit was filed before this video.

I've only been folowing this from the sidelines but this is amazing. I hope Jim defends himself in court, that'd be amazing.

Not surprised. Anyone who listened to the interview between dh and sterling know that DH is absolutely delusional. Digital Homicide wants to rip off as many unsuspecting customers as possible but because of critics like sterling they can't. So what do they do? Try to silence the critic. Try to release their games under different publishing names. And finally try to sue the critic because hes keeping people up to date on their scheme to release shitty games for quick money.

Can't wait to see DH get dunked on, it's going to be great.

I already knew what his name was, it's not exactly hidden from the web, but it's not public knowledge either. Now it will be. I wonder if they did this just to put Jim's actual name in the spotlight, if they just want to cause Jim more trouble, or if they sincerely believe they have a case. Probably the second with a bit of the third. But going by their behavior, it could be any one of those three.

To be fair, Jim does seem to be unfairly targeting them. It's kind of like bullying at this point to garner a reaction from Digital Homocide.

Jim covers so much random stuff on his channel it's hard to argue that he's targeting them specifically. The main or only reason he keeps making Jimquisition videos about them is because they keep targeting Jim. It hardly qualifies as bullying on Jim's part.

Like any other journalist, Sterling continues to follow a thread that directly affects the population he appeals to. In this case, he reminds the public of Digital Homicide and their horrible business practice because they struggle to accept the truth and have failed to improve themselves.

Also, they posted a review of Sterling's review and called him a fucking idiot. They have no sense of professional etiquette.

He 'focuses' on them because they keep threatening him.

It won't be a while until this happens, I'm sure Jim would wait until this is settled. It may be unwise to talk about it before then.

But the day will come when it is over and all hell will be unleashed. I predict a two-parter, possibly a mini-seires.

Maybe it's just DH being delusional but who is going to support them? I don't even know who is foolish enough to buy their games regardless of anything that has happened. Who ends up on one of their game's Steam page and thinks what they're looking at is or will be a quality product? Like sure, they flood the market, but nothing they put out even has a look of anything that would be a smart decision to buy. In a world where people constantly buy big AAA games and are pissed about them being shitty, who goes around and blindly buys random bullshit on Steam no one has ever heard of before?

lol what? What could they possibly accuse him of?

Costing them money. That's the #1 reason to sue someone.

His words and videos have directly affected their business (as it fucking should, they suck) and they think that's not legal. Well, legal or not, they want him to stop so they are try once again to change backgrounds, names and links to try to pretend the shit they release isn't made by them.

DH filed pro se (without an attorney) so they are representing themselves. Asking for over $10 million USD which seems reasonable lol.

Complaint is not about bad reviews, etc. but about certain isolated statements (I have no idea whether the statements are true or not). In any case, DH has a very high bar to clear to show libel.

If they represent themselves they have no chance at all judging by that interview.

Nothing unfair about it, if Konami or Activision individually shat out 18 shitty games in a month Jim would be calling them out 18 times in that month.

DH are the ones who have escalated everything from responding to the initial criticism of slaughtering grounds to begging Jim for that interview all the way to this lawsuit meanwhile Jim does what he always does.

I would pay pay per view charges to watch them represent themselves in court. I hope it's on CSPAN. I cant even imagine the cringe of watching these yahoos try and defend themselves in open court.

They've released a bunch of games under different developer names and Jim still covered it without knowing the truth because he covers games of that level of quality all the time.

Hopefully Jim can counter sue for cost of attorney. Seems like they just want to waste his time and money. They are representing themselves and having it funded by anyone stupid enough to give them money for it.
