And they haven't finish to sent the email to all Kickstarters yet. I'm one of the last Kickstarter list.
So it likely they doing the first serve by sent each early bird's Kickstarter and pre-order users. Next batch likely continue same groups, and going on. I don't think they will put all kickstarter first then pre-order users.

-Add to that the problem of the cable management, which everyone agrees it's a bother as you move a bit, with the cable twisting around yourself as you turn around and things like that.

Hasn't the broad consensus with Vive Pre owners been that you stop noticing the wire?

I'm getting impatient here. I wish they would just the damn Oculus software up on their site already so I can start downloading games and have them ready to go for when my Rift arrives next week.

Not really. You learn to deal with it, but eventually you'll step on it or it will wrap around you or something like that which breaks immersion since you can sometimes become concerned with tripping. So, you don't necessarily stop noticing but rather you just learn to deal with it. That's why you see people talking about the best way to get rid of the wire with mounts and what-not.

It's not necessarily a huge issue though because the cable is generally long enough where even if your foot catches it you won't really trip since it's rarely going to get taut.

Oh why my PC isn't your typical high end build.... >:)

I hope you didn't order this thing's parts yet.

For Skylake, you are limited to dual-channel memory. DDR4-2133 is a hilarious bottleneck on this build. I mean I put DDR4-3200 in my Haswell-E build and that thing has quad-channel memory, because really the difference is like $10-20 and if you're already blowing $2,000 why aren't you spending the extra $20 for faster memory?

So I'm out of the loop on the whole dk2 compatibility thing, is there zero support for it in Oculus home? I'm hoping to be able to play technolust when it releases cv1 or not. I'm sure somebody will find a workaround even if it's not an ideal solution while the rest of us wait for ours to arrive.

(I was a kick-starter - somewhere in the low four thousands)

now the frustrating wait begins - hope is isn't freaking stolen from my building

No official support, but the SDK/runtime will work with DK2 and therefore the games. Things like text might be a bit small as they are optimized for the consumer version.

KS backer, just got my tracking number. But... they don't actually say which service it's shipping through? It looks like it's UPS for most people.

Super excited to try it hands on. My PC is ready to go.

Has anyone heard any new details on the retail presence this will have? I totally missed out on preorders and don't feel like waiting until July, but might make the effort to snag one at a store the minute they're available.

Oh nice, that's the highest I've seen for ks backers so far. Maybe there's some hope for the rest of us backers getting ours shipped next week.

Seeing all the random numbers like 27, 28, etc... receiving emails sort of tells me there may be no order to the email but where you stand in that 1-3 weeks is where the number come in.

... I hope.

I'm 68, but a Kickstarter order. No movement yet. Wonder what's going on with it. I jumped on the order within an hour of the original e-mail sent to backers.

I think if mines isn't shipped by the end of April I'll cancel. I have Vive ordered too but I'll probably only buy one or the other and that's set for May.

Right around this time yesterday was when the big bulk of 1-3 week processing e-mails went out. Hope a lot more of you guys get them in the next hour or two.

Think the batches are months apart, or more like two weeks?

Weeks. For sure.

I was expecting to come home to find out some preorders had seen more movement since yesterday but I guess we really are not shipping until next week.

Seems like only a small sub section of Kickstarter peeps are getting Rifts on Monday.

Giant Bomb will be doing an all day stream of Oculus and its software on Monday, if any one is curious. It starts 7AM pacific.

I have received e-mail as a KS backer (UK).

"This email confirms that we've received your preorder of the Oculus Rift."
