Uncharted 4 street date broken as thieves steal copies

It seems like everyone is getting their copies right now.. This is totally not fair! :(

Everyone will have finished the SP and high level in MP by the time i get the game on RELEASE DAY.

It feels like the flood gates are open, it really isn't fair to the majority still waiting. Guys remember the grand grand majority is waiting just like you. Most of us paid a premium just to play it a week early. As great as that is it's still the same game you will play in a week. I know how it feels, before MGSV I had never gotten a game early and it drove me nuts but it's not the end of the world. Stay strong.

It's cool. Happy to hear more impressions from people.

I foolishly thought Dark Souls 3 would last me until Uncharted 4 came out, especially since I was playing Ratchet and Clank with it. Nope, beat them both. Guess I'll go back to my never ending campaign of trying to beat the Witcher 3 until Uncharted comes out.

I'm trying to decide if I want to pick up the collection and run through all 3 before next Tuesday... I'm afraid it might burn me out on uncharted but it's been so damn long since I've played 1 and 2 that I hardly remember anything.

Do it. I had a blast replaying them all and beating all three just made me hungrier for more Uncharted

Do it! Just play it on Normal though, so you can breeze through them.

I just found it too campy on hard, I wanted to run out and be a bad ass.

I get what you mean, but I like playing normal for a decent pacing and to have a real story driven ride then go through crushing for my sins.

Yeah. This is how I approach all cinematic / story driven games too. Dying and having to re-do the same parts hurts the pacing and immersion in these type of games.

Definitely play ND games on hard guys, don't wuss out, they feel like the correct difficulty if you are familiar with video games. I breeze through UC and TLOU on normal it makes it almost not fun, like I have a cheat on or something.

If you can do a Hadouken or beat a Devil May Cry level with a high rating, I recommend hard.

The pacing on HARD in ND games ruin the games. Literally.

As first play through.

Made me think TLOU was complete shit until I recently started playing it on normal again.

Challenge is fine when the gameplay has enough freedom, when your game ends up looking like a succession of waves of enemies over and over and the action is far too important in a game that's not even that great action wise, and you end up spending one hour on each encounter, it's awful.

I completely disagree.

I like Hard or Survivor in The Last of Us, but Normal in Uncharted.

The higher difficulties make TLoU feel more like a survival horror game and force you to consider ammo and supplies in most encounters, the way it should be.

Uncharted, however, I think benefits from being played on Normal, which lets you run around the battlefield and utilize Nate's mobility and melee combat to better degrees. Every time I try to melee someone in Uncharted on Hard, I just get shot to death in the middle of the animations. Playing Uncharted on Hard forces me to just sit behind cover and play it as efficiently and safely as possible, and I don't think that's the most fun way to play it at all.

Everyone is different, many of us find anything other than hard boring and way too easy. If I am not dying I don't feel like I am getting a proper challenge. It's fun to overcome a tough section. And this game has way more freedom than other games in the series.

Despite what I said earlier about my preference playing story driven / cinematic games on Normal - Last Of Us was an exception to that rule. That game is better played on Hard. It lacks the tension and feeling of a survival horror game played on an easier difficulty. Hard or above makes you use all available tools at your disposal and give's more incentive to use game play mechanics to their fullest. I wouldn't recommend anything above Hard for first play through though. Especially if you decide to play with 'Listening' off.

Yea hard in Uncharted feels just right. You can still do all the crazy stuff, and you're not going B&W after 2 bullets like in crushing, but there's a good level of challenge.

Still probs gonna start with normal in 4 though, but turn off all the spotting assists.

On second playthrough it makes them god-tier, thoigh?

Specifically for Uncharted 2 and TLoU which only shine on Crushing/Survivor after you've beaten them once

It would be a shame if you did it with TLOU though, your hurt the gameplay (and the whole idea of surviving) tremendously, it was cool for Uncharted though.

Yuuuup.

So a couple of quick impressions as my PS4 rebuilds it's database in the background. I'm only on chapter 2 so far.

Graphically, this game is simply fantastic. Not just due to it's technical proficiency but some of the stuff looks like concept art brought to life. I'm simply floored.

The pacing so far is pretty reminiscent of UC2 (and even a bit of TLOU) but with a more grounded tone. Loving it so far.

Technically, it seems to hold 30 FPS. I haven't noticed any dips so far. However, the reason I'm rebuilding my database on the PS4 is because the game does seem to hitch a bit at certain points (where I assume it's loading stuff in). I'm not sure if it's the game or my PS4, so I'll check after the database rebuild to see how it is. It's not often enough to be a problem and it doesn't even occur all that often from what I've noticed (twice in chapter 1, and once so far in chapter 2) for it to be an issue. But I'd figure I'd put this out there given how amazing everything else is.

Hard and Crushing shine once you know the AI and Drake's moveset inside and out. You 100% still get those moments of high-octane improvised swashbuckling, but their intensity is increased tenfold because you are just barely getting away with it by the skin of your teeth.

This is also only really true of Uncharted 2 - 1 and 3 aren't well balanced or designed enough. I think it will be true of 4 as well. 1 and 3 force you into cover too often and don't have 2's openness or options

I picked up the collection last week to play through before UC4s release. I think I must be right at the end of UC2 now (skipped 1). So far I'm very glad I'm playing it on Normal, I find the combat a little clumsy and there have been a few arenas that have been frustrating.
Hoping to finish UC2 tomorrow and move onto UC3.

The game is pretty good and I can definitely see why it wowed so many people upon launch, but coming to it several years later has certainly lost some of the impact when I've played so many games inspired by it (new Tomb Raiders for instance).

Also have TLOU remastered to play through for the first time. Naughty Dog overdose!

No offense but you just must have a lower skill ceiling uncharted game (especially the remasters) are stupid easy on normal. If you just want to run through the story fine, but IMO it won't pose hardly any challenge to seasoned gamers.

Np I get that stance as well. Just letting ppl know hard is usually not something to fear in ND games lol. It's not Bloodborne level

I agree, higher difficulties on Uncharted 1-3 aren't that fun.

I'm plenty good enough, just prefer being able to move around and be a little reckless (much like Nate) instead of being constantly pushed into cover.
