Pokémon Go is live on the Google Play Store

Caught a Poliwag, every piece of graffiti on the way to the train is on there and there are tons of gyms around home.

But all my usernames are taken. ERASED.

Wh would they ban the most excited customers who are potentially the ones that will drop money on their app before most others? Not buying that.

I found a Ghastly and Pidgeot but my connection was shit because I was under several bridges. Lost it.

Held out as long as my willpower allowed, grabbed the APK and it all seems to be working fine so far as I can tell.

Got my Squirtle and a Rattata. The battery drain is laughable. I knew getting one of the few phones this generation with a removable battery as well as a giant external charger would pay off. 8)

Speaking of which, there's a "Battery Saver" in the options that defaults unchecked, anyone have a clue what it does?

I don't remotely buy that rumor, and I mean that even for an account ban, let alone a device ban. I can see them resetting everyone to 0 when they launch globally.

If you think Niantic or the Pokémon company is some kind of autonomous entity I have a bridge to sell you.

The Pokemon company has been publishing apps for phones for a while now, iirc they had some for iOS around the time Iwata said mobile was a no for nintendo.

Bout to go on an adventure on my bike and see what I can find. Will report back.

Any way to tell how to actually do these throws? Seems random to me.
From what I read: Use your index finger (not your thumb). You're trying to hit the green circle, the smaller it is when you do so means the more bonus XP you get. If you're playing with the AR Camera on, the angle you're tilting your phone at can affect the throw.

There's also some way to toss a curveball but I don't really have a clue.

Spin the pokeball around with your finger before flicking it.

Yep, can get the app to run past the initial loading screens. Just stops on a blue-green gradient screen, no music, and tapping or the bottom screen brings up a "Are you sure you wish to decline?" button. I assume that's some terms of service thing but I can't get anything else to show up. My device is too old, probably.

I'm done waiting for today. Hopefully the game is available here tomorrow when I wake up, if not I'll just download the APK.

Yea, they aren't going to aleniate their most diehard fanbase on a free 2 play game especially.

yeah, do not delete the APK, as long as you click install on google play store it will just auto update the app from here on out, no need to replace anything.

I'd have posted the servers were up but I sorta ran out to find gyms. Found 4 in the town I live in and claimed them all.

And I ran into a Pikachu but it got away after I wasted 6 balls on it. Damn.

I'm in the US but I'm not seeing the App Store version up yet. On the other hand, I can get on the game server just fine, although I'm done for the day so I can't actually go anywhere right now.

So how do I actually access Pokestops? I drove by a few and was within range, but then it said a module could be installed and I should get more modules. I didn't see an option to actually buy items.
