What are the best 3ds accessories?

I think there is a limit on the size of the card you can use.

In all honesty a 32gb card should be more than enough to cover you with exclusively digital purchases.

Those bigass grip extenders look stupid, but they're kinda nice if you're just sitting around at home. For stuff like Monster Hunter, it definitely helps.

I think the system is only rated for up to 32GB cards? I have a 64 myself with no issue, but I wouldn't go too far past what the system lists as its max if you try it at all.

I'm exclusively digital on my 3DS and have a crap ton of games and still have plenty of space to double my library with a 64GB.

I sold my 3ds xl around 2 years ago to somebody here on gaf. Last week I bought a new 3ds xl on an impulse and once I got home I realized they don't include a power adapter anymore. It seems like all the stores around me stopped selling them as well, and only sell their store brand power adapters. That has to be the single best accessory...

Amazon has them for around 30. I needed one for my phone so I bought a second one.lol

Maybe it doesn't fit...

But the Hori screen protectors. Especially with the scratching issues and the game what require heavy stylus usage.

Using a 128GB microSDXC card on my n3DSXL. No problems at all, even after transferring from my original 3DSXL. Plan on upgrading to 256GB later this year.

If you are rocking mostly cartridges (and you'll find the best values on physical copies), these Club Nintendo cases are a godsend. Holds 18 carts, great to bring on trips and such.

Seconded. I buy digital releases for everything that isn't cart-exclusive, and use the above to hold those.

Not to hijack the thread, but does anyone have a recommendation on a stylus for N3DS XL? The default one digs into my finger really uncomfortably and is a bit short.

I should get a 128GB card, my 64GB card is almost full.

I actually have a spare Legend of Zelda one that I don't use that I could sell to someone here.

I just got back from a week at the shore, and before the trip I tried to find a weatherproof/sand protector case for the 3DS so I could play on the beach, to no avail.

They make them for iPads and tablets, but not for gaming devices. Seems like a missed opportunity. At least something to keep the sand off them.

And please, no pics of a 3DS in a Ziplock bag...

Oh snap, I've been considering a second one and missed out when they closed all the rewards. How much?

What kind of issues? Is it brand specific?

I've got a 128GB card in mine. Only issues I've had so far are screenshots taking a few seconds longer to save (in games like Tomodachi Life where you can take screenshots natively). That's really it, though. Load times, game performance, etc. are all unaffected as far as I can tell.

There's a 32gb limit officially, but if you format to FAT32 you can use anything up to 256 iirc. I have a 64gb card and it's great.

I came here to post "a big SD card" but you've already got one, so? I like a bigger stylus than the stock one so I have one of those, and a case I've used since the launch model DS. That's about it.

In theory it should be 2TB.

With a 128GB or 200GB card you'll likely hit the app limit (300 not including system apps or DSiWare) before you fill the card.

I've got a 128 and most of the larger games and I'm still more likely to hit the app limit before I need a 200.

About the issues with 128gb SD-cards, the 3DS has trouble to read so much free space so the solution is to copy other files on it till the free space is around 99gb, then you can use the card normally. Afterwards once you naturally fall under 99gb you can delete all the extra data.
