Just pulled down a 1156 Seaking at the pier tonight. I've never seen a Pokemon with a CP that high in the wild. Plus the only 2 Goldeens I have are 98 and 67. That was pretty damn exciting!

Without question. Every day since starting I'm thinking how surreal it is that we're congregating outside to play a digital game. Hopefully they start dropping more Pokemon in soon. The way we're out exploring, it's only a matter of weeks before they've all been caught.
Same here. That 125k from 23 to 24 put the brakes on me. Still managed to get 62,000 into it tho.

Went and walked about 8 miles downtown in Austin this evening. Good god UT is a treasure trove. Got an evee I was able to evolve to a Vaporeon at 850 cp, a dragonair, a 450 cp parasect, and pokemon and centers every block. I went from level 8 to a mid level 12 in one go.

Cops just kicked our asses out of the park we and several hundred people were playing at. Lost a fucking Magmar and a Sandshrew that I threw an ultra ball at, and they instantly ran. Fun night overall.
Thinking about going but I'm pretty sure the servers are going to crash.
Man I know I have probably said this allot but the only thing I want out of this game is a slightly deeper battle system.. even if its just statistically deeper not mechanically I'm ok with that. The current system is just plain and easily exploitable, it really limits my interest in taking gyms. I mean I can take any gym I come across with my current team but it doesn't matter because in half an hour a bunch of lower level crap will be posted up there from the other team.

I wonder if pidgy grind will get nerfed. For example, maybe you can only evolve X number of 1 type of pokemon during the period. Then again with how fast the XP requirements are rising it's kind of moot.
I'm sure it can, but you would probably be banned if you were to do that.

Ah, explains why I couldn't find that Pikachu. Last weekend I was heading home after walking around for like an hour and a half and then a Pikachu popped up at 3 paws. Walked all over for another 30-45 minutes and it never changed paw prints, but it did move up the list.
I wonder when they are going to release a patch to fix a lot of the bugs in this game.
So almost immediately after evolving my first eevee into a Vaporeon I found a wild Flareon. Didn't track it or anything it just popped up on my screen.
Also a guy in the park told me that xl Pokémon have the greatest potential to improve with evolution and xs have the lowest. Has anyone heard anything about this?

How are people getting Pokemon just sitting at home? Do you guys live near Pokestop? Popping essence?
From my house I can see up 10 Pokemon nearby but I've yet to have any actually show up. Wish my neighborhood wasn't shit, I ain't about to get shot trying to catch a Pokemon. Lol

what you do is you wait a very long time, sometimes hours while just doing other things on the comp or work.
I live in the literal middle of nowhere and most of my catches are at home. I check it every now and again, usually get pidgeys (of course) and ponyta's for some reason. Caught a pikachu in my back yard though, that was cool.
I live by a lot of stops and don't get shit at home
Get tons if I walk outside tho
And never use incense if you aren't moving
Edit: to clarify, I get about one Pokemon spawn every 30-45 mins at home while 1 spawn every 1-2 mins waking?
You can live on top of a spawn point. I'm on one and there are always Pokemon in my house. Nothing good but there's usually something there when I turn on the game. I'm not really close to any stops either.

I absolutely cannot wait until my portable power brick arrives. I can get maybe 3 hours of hunting done at a time.

1 pokestop where I live. Ran out of poke balls yesterday. Living rural kinda fucks you in this game. The petrol to drive to the nearest city will be more than the IAPs. Ughhhh
