Complete with a really weird and unprompted mention of how it's not about Russia (meaning it's probably about Russia).

A top aide to Donald Trump said Wednesday that the Republican presidential nominee "will not be releasing" his taxes.

"Mr. Trump has said that his taxes are under audit and he will not be releasing them," Trump campaign chief Paul Manafort told "CBS This Morning."

"It has nothing to do with Russia, it has nothing to do with any country other than the United States and his normal tax auditing process," Manafort added.

...

Conservative columnist George Will this week argued Trump doesn't want to release his taxes because they show "he is deeply involved in dealing with Russia oligarchs."

"So to be clear, Mr. Trump has no financial relationships with any Russian oligarchs?" CBS's Norah O'Donnell asked Manafort.

"That’s what he said, that’s what I said," Manafort responded. "That’s obviously what our position is."

This would make Trump the first major party nominee in forty or so years that has not released his tax returns. The last one was Nixon. Because he was being audited (and it turned out he owed a shitload in back taxes).

That's going to be a flattering comparison.

Cause he doesn't give anything to charity, and isn't worth what he says he is worth. 10 billion? Lol, I bet he isn't even worth a billion. And I'm sure he has evaded paying taxes.

I love that out of nowhere Russia mention. Of course shit was going to get shady once you look into Trump's financials. What businessman has a clean record?

Listen, I don't need to release them, okay? I have the best returns. Unbelievable returns. I hate to pick on the little guy, okay? Now look, we're going to win. Because America is for winning. These returns wouldn't only distract us from winning, okay?

I hope this isn't the end of this whole story. He's hiding something that makes them worry about the campaign. With all the stuff he's been saying and they've been letting fly, there must be some nasty business in his taxes for him to not reveal them.

Trump owes a lot of money to Russian oligarchs and Manafort likely called in a chit or gave one out with his Russian-backed Ukrainian buddies for the DNC hack.

Something is going on. Until we figure it out we should not allow Trump to run for president. Built a wall around his buildings to keep him out!

But seriously, he's probably doing shady stuff with his taxes and is not that rich.

Audit? My ass. These motherfuckers are hiding something.

Even R-Money came through despite the hypocrisy from Trump himself.

VAN SUSTEREN: Has Governor Romney been boxed on this tax return thing, and if he called you up tonight and said, Donald what should I do about tax return thing, should I release them or not?

TRUMP: I think first answer would have been good. It should have been delivered a certain way. But April 1st historically is the time that everybody gives them.

VAN SUSTEREN: I hear April 1, I think of April Fool’s Day.

TRUMP: OK, make it April 2nd.

VAN SUSTEREN: If he called you in light of the situation he in now from clamoring from opponents, would it political be shrewd he would release them now?

TRUMP: I think he may have to. I think he a step went too far. I think that April 1st or April 2nd was OK. But now I think in light of the fact that he started discussing some of the things, namely the rate or approximately the rate, I think it probably be better off just to release them now.

This isn't going to be the end. The Democrats won't let this be the end. The journalist who finds the link between the Trump campaign and a foreign government is going to be famous. So they won't give up either.

I watched the news about trump and his taxes, and sometimes the words are OK, but you just look at the body language — there's something going on. There's something going on. And the words are not often OK

DietRob

i've been begging for over 5 years.
And the something else in mind, you know, people can't believe it, people cannot believe that Trump is acting the way he acts and can't even mention the words tax returns there's something going on — it's inconceivable. There's something going on. We need to get to the bottom of it. Sad!

Idiot question since I've never been auditied, but why can't he release previous years tax returns? Dont most candidates release like 5 years worth of tax returns? I dont understand why releasing a tax return from 2-3 years ago would effect an audit.

I imagine its he payed little to no income tax since all of his money is in investments. Mark Cuban was blasting him on twitter about making less than the clintons.

Seems bad when a "public servant"out earns a "business mogul"

First tragedy, then farce.
Really Mr. Trump?

Wanna tell us about the financing of Trump SoHo then?
http://www.nytimes.com/2016/04/06/us/politics/donald-trump-soho-settlement.html?_r=0

Or your involvement with Felix Slater?
https://www.washingtonpost.com/poli...c6c2c6-16d3-11e6-aa55-670cabef46e0_story.html

Or why your campaign chairmen worked for Viktor Yanukovych for 10 years?
http://www.politico.com/story/2014/03/paul-manafort-ukraine-104263

Or why your son in 2008 said:
“Russians make up a pretty disproportionate cross-section of a lot of our assets" and “We see a lot of money pouring in from Russia.”

What a joke candidate. Last since Nixon to not do this? He must have known he would be compared to Nixon by doing this, which is not a president anyone wants to be compared to.

He must be hiding something really bad in those returns if he is choosing to be compared to Nixon.

Since the FBI is investigating the link between the DNC hack, Putin and Trump, would they be able to get access to them?
