iOS Gaming September 2016 | I don't have unlimited money

Yeah, it looks really good, and like a lot of fun. And it comes with a battle mode. It's all about collecting as many coins as possible.

I hope we get to see Spyjinx later.

I suppose there isn't a chance it will be a surprise release today. Will it?

Or did they give a date?
Holiday.

It is an "endless runner" in the sense, that Mario is auto-running, you can jump, and stop up as certain blocks, and parkour over foes but it is very much designed for one-handed use. So tap tap tap.

Now that Super Mario Run has been announced, I wonder if the November 2 Direct is really Animal Crossing mobile; I hope so.

I don't think its fair to call it an endless runner, it sounded like they were finite designed levels, with an endless mode for competing with other people.

No idea what all the salty people in the press conference thread were expecting, a traditional mario game wouldn't work well with onscreen controls.

Because mobile runner instantly means "shit" to people who don't know much about mobile and/or already have pre-conceived notions about mobile

A new Mario game you can plaay with one hand!

At long last, Mario jumps into a new adventure on iPhone and iPad, this time playable using only one hand.

Even if this is your first Mario game, you won't be able to put it down!

In this game, you constantly move forward through the courses while using a variety of jumps to navigate. Your character will behave differently depending on the timing of your taps, so it's up to you to show off particularly smooth moves, gather coins, and reach the goal.

Super Mario Run offers three different game modes:
- The first mode features challenging courses for you to complete.
- In the second mode, you challenge the play data of other people's completed courses. You compete to see who can finish the course with the most style!
- In the third mode, you can create your own Mushroom Kingdom using coins collected by playing the first two game modes.

didn't Nintendo already announce Fire Emblem and Animal Crossing were releasing this year?

They have been delayed. From the Super Mario Run PR:

Super Mario Run represents the next phase of Nintendo’s expansion to mobile platforms, following the release of Miitomo earlier this year. After the launch of Super Mario Run in December, Nintendo plans to deliver its previously announced mobile device titles in the Animal Crossing and Fire Emblem series before the end of March, 2017.

Of course Super Mario Run has to release in the last month of the year. Although it can help me stay happy through the Winter months. Hopefully they'll update it with some Christmas stuff. Santa hat on Mario would be great.

So, I should unsubscribe before I even get started. Thanks for the warning lol.

[edit] We ain't getting that Spyjinx stuff today. At least we got Super Mario Run.
If they're going to reveal it, it's going to be now. They're talking about the iPhone's specs and power

No Spyjinx but I'm fine with it. Broken Kingdom did nothing to me. At least I'll have Steins;Gate on my iPad tomorrow!

Already past midnight here and sony hasnt even begun. YEa gonna play steins again tomorrow! and gift it.

btw unrelated but thanks for your round up posts. Forgot to mention earlier. very useful.

Oh shit, didn't even know there was a Sony event today.

Now that I got a PS4, I'm way more interested in those

Yeah, it's starting right when this one ends. In 10 minutes haha. I hope we get to see more than the Neo and some updated games. Hopefully a new game announcement or two.

[edit]

Are any of you updating to iOS 10 on September 13? I'm afraid it'll break support for some games.

Hitman GO, Infinity Blade and Cytus are all on sale for 79c.

I bought Cytus. Supposed to be a pretty good rhythm music game.
