PAL Charts - Week 47, 2016

Where's Darksiders Warmastered? I wasn't expecting much, but it's not there at all. Especially considering it's out of stock for both Xbox One and PS4 on Amazon UK. And at other online retails who names shall not be uttered here.

Do we know why the xbox black Friday sales are so low compared to last year?

I saw a few £200 deals for the xbox one s

Because £200 isn't really a great price when you could have picked it up for £200 the months prior. You've been able to get it for that price since just after launch. The only real difference was the additional game.

For example 2 months ago - http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/xbo...99-99-currys-tesco-direct-price-match-2517535

Doesn't help the PS4 was £20 cheaper too.

Maybe they had 10 copies in stock each.

I wonder how many weeks Red and Blue were on top 20 when you consider the insane final LTD sales.

After good Final Fantasy XV reviews I feel a bit more optimistic regarding its launch week sales.

I don't know how much the market will drop after a very busy Black Friday week with lots of deals for the recent AAA releases, a big title like Final Fantasy XV can't only depend on diehard fans. Let's see how the mainstream audience will react. Is Square Enix marketing team doing their job to raise the public interest?

I'm going to say PS4 FF XV = 3x PS4 Watch Dogs 2.

That's what I'm seeing at my job.

We have to extrapolate the ~ 290,000 figure to 100% of the market.

Physical ~ 305,000 (83%)
Digital ~ 63,000 (17%)

Chris1

17% is higher than I would have guessed. Then again, a big part of it's audience is most likely from the Pokemon Go casuals who will be used to digital from smartphones and having a physical cartridge is weird to them.

Do we have launch numbers for XIII in UK? I just remember it being biggest Final Fantasy launch.

If Sun/Moon doesn't die at sales after holidays it will have a very big LTD. I didn't expect such an uprise from X/Y and OR/AS at launch.

The total of top 5 is 443k with the last one being 20k. With remaining 15 titles also having 20k sales even then top 20 total will be less then 780k, it will be 743k. So something missing in it or I m not understanding correctly.

Yeah, it's not the first time the sales guy launch inconsistent numbers.

But >698,000 is for BF, 780k is for entire week.

Edit: listening again he says "20 top games" not positions. Maybe this is the thing.

Could be that I just haven't been looking until recently, but the past few days i've been seeing a lot of advertisement for Pokemon S/M on side of busses and stuff with tag lines like "The perfect follow up to Pokemon Go". Think the game is gonna have insane legs.

Thanks for the link.

There is another interesting figure: during the Black Friday week there were sold 132.000 consoles, from which 127.000 are PS4, Xbox One, Wii U, 3DS and PS Vita.

Also, consolidating data from Guymelef and The_lascar:

Launch week for Sun/Moon:
France: 425k
UK: 368k
Germany: 347k
Spain: 221k

In Spain the bigger games had a much larger increase than in the UK.

Also, thanks to Uncharted 4 we know now that the guy includes bundles sales, or at least this time.

Spain

02 (03) PS4 CALL OF DUTY: INFINITE WARFARE (ACTIVISION BLIZZARD) - 84,000 / 165,000 [+1,300%]
03 (02) PS4 FIFA 17 (ELECTRONIC ARTS) - 61,000 / 380,000 [+455%]
05 (04) PS4 BATTLEFIELD 1 (ELECTRONIC ARTS) - 20,000 / 90,000 [+471%]

UK

02 (01) CALL OF DUTY: INFINITE WARFARE (ACTIVISION BLIZZARD) - 203,200 / 758,500 [+155%]
05 (04) BATTLEFIELD 1 (ELECTRONIC ARTS) - 108,400 / 715,700 [+115%]

And talking about big increases:

20 (RE) DRIVECLUB (SONY COMPUTER ENT.) [+20,859%]

Pokémon Moon - <145,000
The Elder Scrolls V: Skryim Special Edition
Forza Horizon 3
Grand Theft Auto V
Dishonored 2 - 69,800

That Dishonored 2 number is not correct because we are missing the weekly percentage change for week 47, 2016. It is very likely since the game was one of the titles to have Black Friday deals that it had an increase in sales so I figure out that at least sold over 80,000 units in November. Also, Forza Horizon 3 sold over 100,000 units.

Grand Theft Auto V should hit 6 million this month.

AEVI press release data is for the full week.

Week 47, 2016 (21 Nov - 27 Nov)

Software - 699,000 units (+98%) / €26.5m (+90%)
Hardware - 132,000 units (+52%) / €29.3m (+12%)*

Software + Hardware - 831,000 units (+89%) / €56m (+40%)

*Calculated from the data we have.

Whoops, my mistake. Accidently gave Dishonored 2 Titanfall 2's week 3 number.

According to Nintendo España, Pokémon Sun / Moon sold 183,930 units in its week launch, citing GfK data.

Here is the press release:

There is a big difference with the 221,000 figure divulged by the sales guy at Vandal Radio podcast.
