What wildlife is confirmed for Breath of the Wild? (minor wildlife spoilers)

So after seeing that deer can in fact be mounted and soothed, yet can't be registered at a stable (as far as we currently know), I'm curious as to what else we may be able to throw ourselves upon and subjugate to our will, as well as just knowing the full extent of wildlife featured within this enormous title.

So far, I've seen the following in previews and trailers;
Deer
Donkeys
Boars
Buffalo
Goats
Foxes
Sea Lions
Ducks
Waterfowl that resemble cranes
Frogs
Lizards
Numerous Insects
Variety of fish (I hope and pray to the three Goddesses that there will be fishing gear...)

I've also read that bears and snow leopards are confirmed to dwell in the highest terrain... Can anyone confirm? I presume we will also see wolves, which we can hopefully befriend to accompany us much like Wolf Link.

Knowing that an entire team was tasked with creating the wildlife in this game is probably one of the most exciting aspects of the game to me. Observing, hunting and befriending wildlife in this game is going to be a real treat, and I can see myself spending a ridiculous amount of time testing which animals I can feed and tame, which animals will rip me to pieces, and just photographing them all with the Sheikah Slate. Hopefully we are tasked in game with documenting every species of wildlife for a reward. What better reward than being able to register a deer or bear mount at the stables?

This game is making me daydream something awful this week. My hype levels weren't even this high for Halo 2, and I was in a serious frenzy for that title.

Man, I hadn't realized I wanted fishing in this game until you mentioned it, OP. It would really make sense in such an open world.

Getting serious Red Dead cougar anxiety just thinking about it.
Years later, my wife still laughs her ass off when I mention RDR, because of that one time a cougar jumped out of fucking nowhere, mauled me and pushed me in the river, insta-killing me.

I hate cougars.

Dogs! Of course. When you befriend them, they dig up some hidden items in the surroundings.
I'm surprise none of the previews we seem have gone to the desert area. Imagine we coul ride camels, :0
Also, I haven't seen snakes.

Would be great if there are more African Savannah themed creatures there. Maybe a rhino type or elephant, lion.

Hell, I'd ride an ostrich!

One of the issues Nintendo Force brought up was that the wildlife doesn't really interact with one another. So foxes don't hunt and attack prey for example.

Along with that the camps of enemies and such are always very static. They're either just sitting there for hours and hours. So there's no dynamic AI where they go to and fro doing specific things.

Towns seem to have more dynamic life but merchants will just sit there forever waiting for you. So there's no AI system for these NPCs and wildlife to adhere to.

This was their first bit if playtime, so maybe they did witness more since. I've been trying not to watch videos past the 5 hour mark of play.

Foxes usually don't do that, unless they are hungry. Red foxes live on berries, insects and other stuff as well.

Regardless, the point was none of the animals actually interact with one another, nor do any of NPCs and such. It's very static. Like that Fox just walks around and that's about it.

We also know that there are dragons in the game.

I think it's up to the player to "link" the game's world through his/her actions. The pieces are there, but you have to set them in motion. For example, one of the previews said that you could scare animals in the direction of an enemy camp, distract them, steal their weapons, wait for a surprise attack, run pass them... Another example, if it's raining, villagers stop what they're doing and go inside for shelter. Enemies also attack NPCs and NPCs defend from enemies. The interactions are there, just have to pay attention.

P.D.: There's a gif somewhere that illustrates this better, where a flamy chu chu accidentally blows up the camp. xD

I don't think that's true, because I've literally seen reports of NPCs interacting with one another. I think, for gameplay reasons, only monsters interact with the various groups.

Monsters will hunt animals and attack humans.
Humans will interact with other humans and monsters
Animals will interact with monsters
