As scripted and corporate his comments sounded, I have to agree with you here. His comments seem founded on a mix of some truth, and fact checking from Nintendo. Gotta give it up to the man. He's dedicated to what ever he's assigned to even if he's getting paid to do this.

I just love how every time Nintendo is about to launch a new console, there's a period of severe doubt following its obvious hardware shorcomings....

...followed by paper confirmation of its hardware shortcomings...

...followed by a convenient PR barrage of [ people ] saying how awesome and innovative and accessible it is.

It's weird because some of it absolutely sounds like scripted PR bullshit but then some of it, like the SNK stuff, is so left field out of nowhere that they would never, ever put into official PR lines.

It seems like he could be an actual nerd and maybe just the way he talks about it is super weird and robotic? I've known people who seem normal but certain topics turn them into fact-spilling machines.

Or maybe he read up a bunch and memorized certain things for the job, and then injected some of his own personal knowledge into the PR script.

Good good, can we get a WWE game on the Switch then please, haven't had any wrestling games on a Nintendo console since WWE 2k13 on the Wii.

Just give us No Mercy, reskinned for the current era of wrestlers and we'll be happy.

My guess is a handler fed him some lines before the event. He mixed the lines with what he knew and that's why you get some straight PR sounding stuff and some normal sounding stuff. Obviously just a guess but it's what came to mind.

And i'm sure he would have held the same opinion had Nintendo not hired him and given him a sum of money to say so.

I'm just glad that most of the people here (and hopefully not here) see through this trash.

To people somewhat confused, saying you hate John Cena is the wrestling equivalent of hating Nickelback, except John Cena is actually very good at what he does.

Cena's somewhat of a nerd. His favorite anime's Fist of the North Star for example. Just because he's great at his job doesn't mean he isn't nerdy. Just check out his mannerisms and comments towards things. There's been times where he'd say a promo that confuses the company. For example, one time he cut this really bad Star Wars promos, he just went off, the company hated it. Come to find out that Cena's really big into Star Wars. This was around what 2012 I think.
