I created a Japanese account so I could try out a couple games. Now when I switch accounts back to my U.S. account, it still displays the news page in Japanese first then English afterwards. Is there any way to change this? I even disabled the Japanese account but the news page still displays in Japanese first.

It is displays the most current news first. It just sometimes happens to be Japanese or English first.

I bought a micro SD card today but I have a few questions.

I know save files can't be moved but what about patch data or eshop games? Can I move them freely between the internal memory and the SD card like it was possible on Wii U or are they stuck where they have been downloaded the first time?

if you remove your SD card, it'll show on your Switch as ready to download

It's probably something obvious I'm missing, but is there a way to rearrange/move tiles on the main UI?

edit: ah looks like it automatically sorts by most recently played. fair enough

Is there a list of all confirmed indie games?
This is the official 2017 indie lineup:

Wikipedia has a list of all confirmed Switch games, but no idea how complete it is.

Looking at that miiverse exploit, I guess it is possible to have an Internet browser for Switch.

Also, I have the Hori Playstand and it is 100% recommended. Well worth the money.

Just dropping in to share that this fantastic little device has been so great to have while recovering from surgery :)
I have my ps4 and a steampunk ready as well, but it i so so handy to have the switch next to me for easy pick up and play throughout the day and night as my sleep cycle is all kinds of messed up right now.

thanks for excellent timing in the release Nintendo :p

I just noticed that after that issue I had with the system running out of battery overnight for no reason that the Snipperclips demo I downloaded is all of a sudden no longer there. It straight up disappeared.

anyone know if Ultra Street Fighter 2 is getting a physical release in North America? I'm about to pull the trigger on import preorder if not.

edit: nvm, saw the Capcom US twitter post, looks like we are getting it physical. No Canadian retailer has preorders yet tho.

Dumb thing to be amazed by but both joycons ran out of juice and died at the exact same time. I anticipated one would drain quicker than the other.

I seriously can't get over how shitty this thing's kickstand is.

Ignoring the build quality, the angle is terrible. Awful. I wanted to play this on the plane earlier, but on the seat tray, the screen basically faced my chest. It desperately needs to go further back, at the very least.

It's the most obvious room for an upgrade in a "Lite" version after the bezels and battery life. Considering how well thought out the rest of the system is, this is such a huge pain point.

I'd love to take JUST the tablet and a pro controller with me, and leave the joy-cons at home. But that's just not feasible.
I'm traveling tomorrow with a total travel time of 27 hours and this is discouraging to hear. I'm bringing my pro controller with me anyway. But what about that Hori compact play stand? Anyone have impressions on that? Would it do well on an airplane tray?

Hi guys.

Ive had my Switch for 24 hours and Im having massive joy con connection issues and on the brink of returning it. I played the snipperclips demo with my girlfriend last night and it was an issue but I ignored it. But tonight playing Zelda its unplayable. I literally have to hold my hands in the air to have a good connection. If I dont, buttons dont respond, i get locked into running in one direction or I get the hold L+R connection screen. Its ONLY happening to the left blue joy con.

I heard they suffer from interference problems. The switch is sat to the left of my tv, my PS4 is directly under the tv in a compartment and my router is situated under the whole TV cabinet. I also have my sound bar laying directly in front of the TV. Theres not really anywere else for it to go the way my living room is set out.

Is anyone else having issues this bad? Do you think its simply interference or is my left joy con just fucked?

Thanks in advance!

edit - im sat at most, 3m from the switch unit.

I've been lucky - no connection issues with my left Joy Con. I'm about 15 feet away generally. I'm beginning to think that not all left Joy Cons have the issue. Sucks for those who are having the problem. That said, it COULD be some kind of interference issue, but I have so many wireless devices, that I'm not sure that's it since I haven't had any issues.

Hopefully a fix comes out for those affected, as it would drive me crazy.

My favorite thing about the switch is how barebones it feels.

I know that's weird, but I just want a video game ass video game system, not a half assed computer like what my PS4 feels like.

I don't need anything else, just turn it on and go.

It's super fast and slick, the UI isn't bogged down or laggy.

I know a lot of people are going to disagree with that opinion, and I get it, but I am really digging it.

Nah, I hear you. There's no bullshit to get in the way of what I bought a Switch for: games.

So,

Amazon didn't ship the copy of Zelda I ordered Friday till today, even though I had one day shipping.

So I attempted to get a refund of the shipping cost and the representitive offered me a $5 credit, which I wasn't going to complain about but I still did want the shipping refunded.

He said that would be fine and they would make an exception and refund me the shipping.

Then I get this lovely e-mail from Amazon.

Hello,

I'm sorry to hear about the problem you've had with your The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - Nintendo Switch.

On this occasion, we don't require you to return the original. You're welcome to keep, donate or dispose of it - whichever option is most appropriate and convenient for you.

I've requested a refund for 56.79 USD, which includes the cost of the item and its associated shipping costs. This refund will go through within the next 3-5 business days and will appear as a credit on your billing statement. Please note that this does not include your bank's processing time.

So,

I just got BoTW for free.

Edit:

My Switch Doesn't even come in till tomorrow so this works out perfectly. =)

Got my Switch back from Nintendo yesterday after having to send it in for repair, or rather I got a brand new switch, ac adapter, and dock from Nintendo that they swapped with my old unit. it's working great so far, but sadly I have had to play Zelda again from the start. Oh well... It didn't take me long to get close to where I had stopped before the system died.

So are there any games that are cheaper than their US counterparts? I'm trying to get a game to compliment Zelda, but am kinda tight on $$$ Bummed that I missed out on $12 Shovel Knight!

welp, that post had me worried so i took a stroll over to TRU and picked up one of these. 3 adjustable positions so hopefully it works out on the plane's tray.

I feel the same. I don't need another device to play YouTube, Netflix etc. I want a lean OS focused on games.

Graceful Explosion Machine is hot. Gameplay is pretty sweet. Might get a little confusing at times, but I'm picking that up. The Nindies are looking pretty good. Wife wants to try Overcooked.

I love how snappy the UI is. The whole system is super fast to wake up, return to your game, put to sleep etc. Still there's no reason adding a Netflix and YouTube app and a browser should slow it down at all. I doubt they'll let you run them in stasis concurrently with a game like how it operates on PS4. That's the only way they might do that stuff which could bog the system down but hopefully not. I love this thing, can't wait to have MK8 on it, so much so I may buy digitally as I really don't want to be swapping carts with Zelda all the time...

GameStop.com sent me the Joy-Con order I had canceled because they told me they weren't shipping until April 16th. I just got a second pair of Joy-Cons for free. I'm dying.

I personally didn't realize that the bundled coloured Switch Joycon are reversed from the separately sold ones. I now find it incredibly hard to not buy the separate coloured ones to make an all red or blue switch.. Contemplating taking advantage of some trade in credit I might be able to dig up....

I have spent too much on this thing already....
Anybody else rocking an all red/blue Switch?

Edit: just saw there are double red and blue bundles available too. Guess it's not that unique then. That makes the urge much less.

Good to hear all is well, but the save situation is unbelievably pathetic. So, basically your story proves that not even Nintendo support has a method to backup or transfer saves.

My joycons have a TINY bit of give near the bottom of each when attached to the unit. Its just a millimeter or so, but it is noticeable at times. Buying replacement joycons resulted in the same tthing. I know it's been brought up here by a few people experiencing the same issue, but has there been any word on whether this is just how it's designed? My instinct says yes, but who knows?

Someone somewhere said he fixed it by tightening the screws of the rails on Switch. I've got some wobbling on the left one but I don't have a decent screwdriver to try.
Give me a shout if you try it and it works!

Wait, you want your digital copy to be physical? Why not just own the physical box and play the digital version?

Frees up space on the system storage, but I'm really asking because I'd like to buy Disgaea 5 from the Japanese store, then use my physical English copy when it eventually releases here. Want to make sure the save would work with both.

Compatability between regions is probably going to be a bit weirder, not sure. I'm sure there's someone who's double dipped on the US I am Setsuna and the Japan physical one.

Also though I don't know why you wouldn't just continue to play on the digital version even when you get your physical version, unless it really is about system storage. I would just buy a microsd card though
