Are people creating multiple accounts on their system for different regions or simply changing the region from the account settings?

Multiple accounts. Changing region becomes a hassle once you add funds, you can only change when your balance is zero.

Multiple profiles that are linked to new shop accounts.

So I go and create a new nnid account in Japan region.
I go to my switch. Create new profile. I call it Groovy jp, for example.
The switch will ask me if I want to link it to an nnid. I choose the one I created up above.

Is there an easy way to browse all the games on the nintnedo e shop on the switch? The only option I see is "new releases" or something like that, im not sure if that's everything or not.

So....I've come to the conclusion that my dock is blocking the wifi signal somehow.
Did some tests with the splatoon testfire, I get errors and disconnects very often when docked, nothing at all in handheld mode.

At first I thought about repositioning the dock but well, can't do much about that anyway since it has to be connected to the TV. I tried anyway, bringing it closer or farther form my old ass router didn't help.
I even tried to play a few matches in handheld mode at the exact same spot my dock is currently set up, and had zero problems.

So, what the F? Anyone had similar problems or recall a post talking about that? It makes no sense it's jsut a piece of plastic and other people can play online just fine. Admittedly my router is old and I don't even have access to 5ghz, but again, handhled is fine, even from another room.

Hdmi receiver problems? Is this a thing? I have tried a bunch of settings and not getting any signal on the avr. Im so done with this shit. Suggestions appreciated.

E: works fine direct to tv tho
E: worked with a different hdmi cable (but wrked with other one yesterday) so i guess it just isnt compatible with some version of hdmi cable? Since when has this been a thing with fucking anything?

Hmm since forever honestly, HDMI can be a bit fickle although I'm not sure if it's directly related to the HDMI versions. I used to have a HDMI-cable I bought when HDMI was still pretty new and while it worked fine with my PS3 my PS4 had random blackouts with it. And some people had issues with the PS4 Pro as far as the HDMI connection goes. HDMI handshaking can be a bit wonky, especially if there are things inbetween like a HDMI-splitter or a receiver.

Does anyone know if I can use a third party wall charger to charge my switch without the dock?

I was thinking of gettting a small one to take it on my backpack and to charge it by my bed.

This one should be ok, right?
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01GFDSO1M/?tag=neogaf0e-20

I saw some people recommending the Google Pixel charger but they are not available in my country.

I use a black Amazon basics charger and my Pro controller cable to charge while I play in handheld mode. Works fine.

I'm looking to charge my Switch undocked while playing.

I need a 10 foot cable and whatever goes into the wall as well. There are a million different plugs and cables on Amazon and I have no idea which one will work. If someone could directly link to a good one that would be great.

It should be. Right now everything is a new release. They haven't really introduced any categories or sorting to the eShop yet.

Can't stop playing Isaac on it. It's made me pine for a super meat boy port. What are the chances of this do you think? It's out on Wii U isn't it?

Installed an Anfilm screen protector which was easy enough. Usually don't bother with'em but this screen looks good enough that I want to keep it fresh. Plus in contrast to the DS consoles this screen is always exposed, not great for throwing in my bag.

I so want an Ouendan on this console btw

I remember reading something similar somewhere but I can't remember where. And I think the solution (or at least working a bit better) was to face the router with the face of the tablet (the lower part of the dock).

I guess tweeting at them that you're interested in seeing it happen would help? I'd buy both of them for sure.

Man I really surprised on how much I am using handheld mode. It's crazy because in my mind I thought I would only use the console on the big screen tv, but handheld mode is just too incredible. What a great console, few more stellar games like breath of the wild and it can really be something special.

What country are you in?

I'd avoid USB-C chargers with Qualcomm's Quick Charge since it's not USB-C Spec compliant.

I'd recommend these one

Motorola TurboPower 30

Google Dual Port Charger (if the Play Store will ship to your country)

Should work, but there might not be enough power to charge the switch's battery while playing (I'm not 100% on that).

Ok thanks, I just wanted to make sure I had the right idea of what to get. The cable itself is fine right? It'd just be the fact that the charger is only 5v that would make it possibly drain as I play? Or is that it's only 15 watts? Or both...?

Welp, I just noticed that my left Joycon can come off the tablet or grip if I apply enough force, even if I don't press the release button. I noticed that the tab holding it secure is slightly chipped compared to the right. I wonder if I should get a replacement from Nintendo, since it has been having the disconnect issues with it.

Ugh I keep looking at the eshop trying to convince myself to buy any of the games. I love this little machine and I just want to play it more, i just need those sweet gamezzzz.

I'm pretty close to pulling the trigger on 1-2 switch. I've brought it to a few gatherings and fast rmx and snipperclips just don't hold attention for long. I can hold off on bomberman since I know that'll eventually be significantly cheaper.

I imagine I will only be using tv mode for Mario kart split screen

Zelda looks GREAT on the handheld screen.

On my 4k tv it honestly looks like shit.

Stupid question, is there a way to see just everything on the e shop not new releases/coming soon/search?

So as a non Switch owner that will get one eventually.

Might be a stupid/obvious question but can the Switch connect to other switches locally for multiplayer like the 3DS?
If, say, I have a Switch with mario Kart and so does my friend. Can we just randomly play together in a bus or would we need to play online?

Yes you can play locally (support up to 8 systems) but you both need to own copy of Mario Kart 8.

I think my left jcon is a lil loose when in handheld. I knew I would mess it up. I grip shit too hard. I broke 3 xbone controllers and 1 ps4 one. I am a neanderthal

Who else is super psyched for Snake Pass on Tuesday?

Also, what is the deal with the "Buying Options" on Amazon for the various Joy-Cons. I'm seeing listings under the blue pair/set for under $30. Are people listing single blue Joy-Cons under the product details for the pair without actually specifying?

It's even crazier under the options for a red/blue pair. There are listings under $10.

I think there's a ton of shady listings (from third party sellers) on Amazon with Switch related stuff.

Switch launch has coincided with a massive wave of Amazon scammers (amazon will refund you though).

...hate me...
I wonder what the hell is wrong with the Switch's video streaming off the eShop. It just keeps breaking.

It's not the wifi - this happens even on ethernet.

Furthermore, if the progress bar for the video is on, it seems to indicate how far the video is cached with a thicker line, and it still breaks before reaching the end of it.

Then again, it was the same ordeal with the Wii U.

To folks looking for third party options on charging their Switches on the go, I'm using these as my own setup. Quoting myself from the powerbank thread here:

http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=232273393&postcount=348

Been using it for about a week now, and true to its specs, my battery charge has never dropped below 100% while playing Zelda and Fast RMX outside of home. Been marathoning Zelda looking for shrines, and my playtime clocks in the double digits (16 hours at one time, was 12 hours a day back), and I had more than half of that playtime on tabletop mode with the QB820 doing charging duty. I was interested with the Anker 26,800mAh USB-PD powerbank model, but Anker wasn't interested in entertaining shipping to my side of the world, so I had to look for other alternatives. For wall chargers, I'm currently waiting for the Anker PowerPort 5+, should be here next Monday. The Tronsmart U5P charger pictured earlier, for some odd reason does not charge the Switch or the QB820 powerbank. Banking all hope on the Anker PowerPort 5+.

I've also tried to see if I can charge the Switch while docked with these third party charging options: the QB820 causes the green LED charge light to blink on the dock, but no charging notification, the Tronsmart U5P charger doesn't either.

I am posting the disclaimer again, just to cover my ass. It works for me, and I hadn't had any problems so far, but other variables may differ that it may hurt your Switch. I'm living in a country where the voltage is 220-240V/50-60Hz, unlike the American and Japanese 110V/60Hz voltage rating.

Disclaimer: I'm not responsible for any blown Switches or any bodily harm that happens should you choose to emulate my setup here. I wish someone more knowledgable than me, like Benson Leung or Nathan K can verify this setup as safe to use.

Is it possible that my joycons have less range of my brother's joycons? It's strange because from the sofà he play without problems with his Switch, but mine don't works. Them don't disconnect, simply don't works or take just some commands.

I'm really liking playing with split Joycons. I just put my Switch in my iPad stand in bed and playing with split controls is much more comfortable.

If you have that issue with the left joycon then that's the issue nearly all the launch units are having, the right joycon tends to be a lot better in wireless quality.

Now that Zelda is over and I think more about the capabilities of the Switch I came back to the concept I first thought of when I saw the detachable joycons.

I think a much better launch game than 1-2 switch would have been a multiplayer sports game. Imagine playing cute versions of football, basketball, tennis, american football, ice hockey, boxing etc. with simple but fun gameplay.
on one small screen with 2 (or more) players against each other.
They could still somehow plant some 1-2 switch like minigames into it.

I think that would have been a far more popular launch game than 1-2 switch.

Someone tried to contact Nintendo for this? They change it or is "normal" and don't do anything?
