Trump taps Kushner to lead a "SWAT team" to fix government with business ideas

Since no one currently serving in the White House seems to know a single thing about crafting government policy I'm going to take a really wild guess here and say that all this office is going to do is help Trump crank out unconstitutional executive orders with 100% more efficiency.

Seriously, what's stopping Trump from picking some random homeless man from the streets and making him one of his advisors?
Would likely be an improvement...
Do you really think Trump would ever give a homeless man any job?
...but it would never happen. Trump and Republicans seem to hate the idea of poor and homeless even existing.

I'm thinking it will take years for Americans to get stuff fixed after they get rid of Trump :/

This sounds like the plot of some bad movie starring Dennis Quaid and Topher Grace. Oh wait...

In Good Company (2004) - A middle-aged ad exec is faced with a new boss who's nearly half his age... and who also happens to be sleeping with his daughter.

So the office on filtering federal money to businessmen with bridges to nowhere but most importantly to Kushner and Trump? This is such a godamn apparent money grabbing scheme and I hope they get every single transaction recorded for scrutiny.

A partial list of what Kushner has been tapped to do during this administration, according to the article:

  • driving foreign policy
  • driving domestic policy
  • driving decisions on presidential personnel
  • serving as Trump’s lead adviser on relations with China, Mexico, and Canada
  • bringing peace to the Middle East
  • reimagining Veterans Affairs
  • modernizing the technology and data infrastructure of every federal department and agency
  • remodeling workforce-training programs
  • providing broadband Internet service to every American
  • stopping opioid abuse
Easy-peasy. Should take no more than 6 months.
Good idea to point that out! I'll put it in the OP.

Trump is your new father in law that just found out you work with computers and now calls you every day because the internet broke again and the screen says "no signal"

Trump must think Kushner is magic.

He's the only person slightly smarter than a snapping turtle who's willing the suffer Trump's company and conversation for more than an hour a week.

In Trump's child-like world view he's probably the smartest man in the entire world (as he automatically disqualifies anyone who doesn't like him from being intelligent).

First of all Mussolini didn't say it (well, you can't prove a positive, but AFAIK there isn't a good source for that), but maybe more importantly, you might want to look what corporatism means. I know it's kinda became this catchall phrase for anything that take big business interests above all else, but that's not what it actually means, nor is the bullshit that Trump is doing with Kushner or "running the government like a business" is really related to it.

But, Trump said during the campaign that HE had an awesome plan?!?!?!?!

Much like his 30-day ISIS plan, and repealing and replacing Obamacare on "day one", it turns out his plan is to shrug and hand it off to someone else. Which is exactly how he ran his business during The Apprentice.

I think I can say sincerely that if he fully completes that list I will be all for Kushner in 2020 :p

heck, he only needs to complete the two I bolded lol.

though this really seems to just be another case of promising the moon to merely give someone a handful of sand in their eyes.

I still can't believe anyone is able to walk in and get a job in the executive branch without any qualifications. It's absolutely ridiculous that people like Bannon, Kushner, and Ivanka don't have to go through confirmations hearings like other members in government do.

Seriously, what's stopping Trump from picking some random homeless man from the streets and making him one of his advisors?
Is the homeless man related to Trump or does he have a copy of a peepee tape? That's the prerequisite for a job in the whitehouse.

He's gonna do it all in one week...

The parody that keeps on giving, 'swat team of strategic consultants', holy shit lol.

I once had a narcissist boss, and he too created these hilarious parallel organisations consisting of his favourite yes people, having the most grandiose missions like 'bring digital marketing knowledge to how hardware is designed' or 'run our global tradeshows like cool pop-up shops'. This poor team only had his 'mandate' to get things done in an organisation of 50,000+ people. Obviously not much got done.

After that he can solve world hunger, start a colony on Mars, payback all of the US' National Debt and give all Americans jobs.

This goes tits up, miraculously doesn't happen in six months and is a complete goddamn mess.

@RealDonaldTrump I told him six months ago this was a bad idea but that boy...He just didn't listen. Sad. Breaks my heart to tell him and let him go.

Who the fuck is this Kushner guy? What's his expertise? Seems crazy to me to let this unexperienced guy run such major parts of domestic and foreign (wtf?) policy...

Kushner is Trump's son in law.

Kushner is rich because his dad got rich before his dad was sent to prison (by Chris Christie) for blackmail.

Kushner's foreign policy experience is that Kushner is Jewish and that is literally it and I am not shitting you. Trump views Kushner as a Magic Jew.

The Trump administration has definitely triggered job growth for the Trump family.

I mean, only by total number of jobs, not Trump Employment Rate.

Kushner went from having one job to twelve. Tiffany remains unemployed. I have definite misgivings about Eric reported occupation of 'Professional Creepy Photobomber', too.

  • fucking up foreign policy
  • fucking up domestic policy
  • appointing sycophants for presidential personnel
  • doing Trump's job on relations with China, Mexico, and Canada while he golfs
  • bringing war to the Middle East
  • getting rid of Veterans Affairs
  • profiting off modernization of the technology and data infrastructure of every federal department and agency
  • Trump Univeristy workforce-training programs
  • providing broadband Internet service to every American that only directs you to Breitbart
  • profiting off opioid abuse

This is the start of "fleecing" America right?

These motherfuckers just keep adding it to the tab, they don't have to worry, taxpayers got them covered

Watch all these assholes become multi-millionaires, it sure will be a redistribution of wealth, just his cronies stealing cookie from the jar red handed and getting away it

And who has oversight over Kushner? This asshole's son in law is spearheading solutions to problems with (what I assume are) contracts and solutions that benefit Trump's own brand in the end. The whole issue we had over nepotism with Kushner/Ivanka was that we have no fucking idea where they'll throw government money. This is horse shit.

It's worse than I thought...

"Above the grind of politics"

So many people operating under this illusion process doesn't happen for a reason.

I'm sure Trump's "do what my unelected son in law with no political experience tells you" hit squad won't backfire or create even more deeply entrenched resentment in any way.

Maybe Trump actually believes the conspiracies about Jews running the secret world government and decided to leverage that.

It's because Kushner got Ivanka imo. I can't think of another reason for Trump to prop him up so hard short of him banging his golden daughter whom he likely has wanted to as well.

I wish him luck. Good if they figure it out.

If something good comes from this then alls well. Trouble is when you had over a $300 billion demand to Germany i can only sense America getting more and more isolated from the rest of the world. What will this SWAT team dream up?

I imagine in the next few weeks and months import duties rising for foreign un-american goods. Will we see a trade war with the rest of the world who has been taking advantage of America. We live in interesting times. Or dangerous times. Definitely unprecedented times with an unstable and seriously unfit for office american president.
