I'm getting one of these for a friend's birthday. He's into both and has yet to play either. I'm thinking DX because it's cheaper now and has all the DLC out, but I'm not really sure. Mass Effect seems rough right now.

Cautiously going to go with Mankind Divided, mostly because with all DLC out and a cheaper price it seems to have more bang for the buck.

They're both good, but they're also both flawed at some deep, intangible level. Sort of soulless in complementary ways.

I haven't actually finished either but got a good way into both.

I've played both and Mass Effect is a much better game, but right now with the bugs and the value, you may be better going with Deus Ex.

If it's for PS4, get something else - some absolutely amazing games out at the moment! Horizon, Nier or Nioh are aces.

If it has to be one, get Deus Ex. Much cheaper, Mass Effect will drop in price V.soon, all DLC, good solid not amazing game - although i profess i haven't played ME yet

Mass Effect, with all of its issues (and they are many and big), is still the better game. Looks better, plays better, has the better story. Just better.

I thought Mankind Divided was a complete slog and waste of time. I got nothing out of it.

It executes it's mechanics much better than Andromeda does.

I can't speak for Andromeda but I absolutely love Mankind Divided. I'm not sure where the hate for that is coming from. Interesting sandbox gameplay, a great soundtrack and beautiful art direction. I can only see some complaints from the story.

both are shadows of their past games but while DX is a better game mechanically, Mass Effect Andromeda has a better story ( which is funny because Andromeda isn't really amazing story wise ) characterization and a world that resonate more with me, honestly Prague is great city but in this game, everything looks the same and you'll get tired of it.

Andromeda has more of that fun factor to me, but Mankind Divided is super cheap these days. Best to grab that first and Andromeda later when it's the same price.

Deus Ex is not finished.
It ends abruptly with a slideshow news report.

It is clearly 1 game that has been chopped up in two, and with Square Enix's Marvel partnership there won't be a conclusion anytime soon.

In fact they'll probably reboot it again by the time for a new Deus Ex comes along.

I really like Mass Effect being 30 hours in and I think it gets way more shit than it deserves but I think it's worth to wait for the first few patches to improve things.

I'd go with Deus Ex, it works well as an RPG and is much more polished than Mass Effect. ME could be much better in 6-10 months, plus you get DLC with Deux Ex

I faced the same choice, I was dismayed with the product ME:A turned out to be, its not Mass Effect (like the originals) so i chose Dues Ex:MD, its bloody good!

You can get ME:A on EA Access later down the line, Dues Ex ends with MD unfortunately, its the better game so you you should prioritise it.
