This is very interesting to say the least. Curious as to what is possible to actually fix. Does Shinobi602 still hang around Neogaf? He certainly knows a lot about Bioware games.

was getting frustrated today with bugs, losing control of the game and having to close it and restart. Its a fun game and I enjoy it but they need to patch a lot of bugs.

Reminds of the ME3 ending disaster.
Mass Effect Andromeda: The Extended Cut

But honestly the fact that they have to actually have a date to talk about how they will address the issues is extraordinary for me! I'm currently playing through the game now and even though I agree that the problems that this game is having shouldn't even be there in the first place, I thought they wouldn't even acknowledge anything save for the occasional quiet patch.

Well good for them! Hopefully it's some meaningful things and not "We're so thankful for all the support that you have given us by buying this game and we can't wait to show you how much we'll take it into account with the next iteration of the Mass Effect franchise."
Wonder if they'll do like SE with FFXV. Not sure that has paid off much.
Oh boy here we go...

Hope they can make a performance patch for the console versions. Base PS4 is way rough, rougher than Inquisition for sure.

Quest bug fixes should be in the pipe too of course. I imagine if they do any future DLC outside of MP updates it might involve the (a guess even though I haven't beaten the game yet, so maybe it's coming up)
Quarian/other species Ark. Which would be neat.

The game's plot is fine at its core.

However, after not experiencing any quirky animation glitches until lategame, I fell through the floor of my ship and had a broken save in the course of 30 mins.

Bugs need fixing. Everything else can wait for a sequel, me thinks.

Gonna take a bet and say its going to be"we will try and patch what we can. Also now the first DLC is free
PLEASE DONT TRADE IT IN
"

Is it that bad? I've been wanting to play it but have too much on my plate right now to dive in.

The general opinions are that the game has a number of problems, and they either grate on you too much and make the experience crappy, or you enjoy the game and just grit through the rough parts. I've finished the game and quite liked it, myself. It does a lot of things very well (namely the squad and their interactions + combat is fantastic) but there are definitely a number of areas that are at an inexcusable level for a studio of Bioware's caliber.

....Why the announcement about an announcement?

Cause they're trying to slow down the outrage, but haven't finalized what solutions are feasible in terms of time/cost/manpower.

Also announcements of announcements of announcements is a video game thing.

I'm gonna hold any judgment until I see what they plan. If they actually are going to drastically improve these facial expressions for starters, that be nice. Start with that.

"We've received quite a bit of feedback, some positive and some...well...you know...

Hey man, we are working on it. Cut us some goshdarn slack here. Our faces are tired from...everything...

Hope you still love us. Thanks for the cash. Kisses."

Thanks for beta testing our game for $60.

Seriously, its far too common these days. This announcement screams please don't trade the game in.

Glad Amazon fucked my shipping and let me cancel my preorder. I am looking forward to eventually playing the game though. ME trilogy is one of my favorite series.

so bad: glitches, motion capture and facial animations, voice acting, and writing
Good: everything else?

Is this what people are critical of ?
