Celica's banner better be stocked with (viable) beefcake units. Though I'll still use them all anyway even if they suck.

Ended up rolling a +hp/-speed Faye and a random 5* Jakob. So now I have Renewal fodder, along with that sweet Fire sweep bow.
A bit sad about Faye though. I was hoping for +speed, since then she could be salvaged into a pretty tanky revenge killer. From 28 speed, giving her a speed buff and darting blow would give her 38 speed on attack, which will double quite a few things. Have her run Vengeance (maybe), Reciprocal Aid, and in the B slot probably seal attack/speed and throw her to the wolves. She'd come out of most fights alright, back off and kill or leave them for someone else. Alternatively, I guess Renewal wouldn't be half bad on her either. I'd have to check the offensive skills, since Glacies is probably better for this build with her high res and all.
Either way, I really just wanted the bow. I'll keep her around for the next arena season, and probably drop a breaker on to her for whatever bugs me most so she can do some work (G Tomebreaker maybe). As for who I'd give the bow to, I'm thinking a + attack Rebecca may be a good candidate. You want a decent speed unit, with higher attack, so Klein, and Takumi are good options. Jeorge kind of likes his unique bow. Virion could actually rock the Firesweep+ too, surprisingly. Niles, not so much (attack is way to low).
Oh yeah, any recommendations for who should get renewal? The Jakob is +hp-attack, and I already have Jaffar (2 of them) and a good 4* Jakob so I'd want to find Renewal 3 a better home.

I pulled one set and got Ephraim which I have and use a lot. I don't know what to think. I guess, I can merge him, although I prefer the new characters rather.
BTW when I merge, if I merge my full level Ephraim to this level 1, I get the trait for this new Ephraim, right? I need to check which IV is better.

Almost wonder if they are trying to drain people's orbs with mediocre banners and then hit us with some really good banners meaning $$$$$.

Hmm, so after my thoughts on Faye, I starting thinking about Clair and the rest. Clair is basically Blue Caeda, with a good weapon. which also means she is an alternative Shanna. She is also the best source of Silver Lance + now, since most don't want to fodder Effie or promote Jagen. Though there isn't much more to say on her. Blue doesn't need more Shannas/Caedas. Hit and run is cool for swapping units on offense (High attack unit runs in, hits and takes some damage, then slides back and has the tank step in for the defensive turn). Actually, roll her and pillage Silver Lance + and hit and run for a better unit. Excellent Fodder.
Alm is slightly more powerful Corrin M (by 1 attack). Falchion is cool, and the renewal 2 effect is nice. Corrin M does the job better though, with Yato's +4 speed on attack. Hell, Corrin runs Windsweep better than Alm thanks to that. Kind of funny how similar their skill sets are in some ways though.

Lastly, Lukas is like Ephraim, but trading speed and res for defense. Also, no Siegmund. Run Fortress defense and Brash Assult on a +def version and literally laugh as everyone fails to kill/hurt.

Take the above and pair him up with a mage(or mage killer) with Hone/Spur defense to further make him ridiculous and cover his low res(or kill mages). Actually, he is probably the best unit in this banner, especially if you roll his + defense version. He can hit 50 defense easily enough like this, and only fearing mages isn't uncommon. Like, even Minerva, who is his biggest threat only does 36 damage to him (+attack, Life or death, double). He is also immune to neutral Kagero (assuming no SI), and maxed out Kagero (Life or Death, + attack, double) only does 44 damage, unable to kill him at netural hp with the defense set up above.
I think I want to roll for Lukas now actually.

First pull was ok since I at least got a new unit and I was looking for a spare Nino for skill fodder, but the second one makes me want my orbs back :|

This is what I was saying earlier. I think Lukas is the best unit and will be seen as a top unit as time goes on, kinda how Ephraim was crapped on when released but slowly people began to see how good he was in the right situations. I think Lukas's crazy defense can be used to great effect.

Yup. Lukas will be top tier for sure. Just have to avoid rolling Blue Caeda/Clair to get him. Even without + Defense, he'll be beastly. Tharja will be the best partner for him in my opinion, since she can take an attack buff and nuke greens for him. Alternatively, Faye kindly brough us FireSweep, so a good archer can work with him on killing mages (and if they run Seal Attack, they can neuter all attackers). Just thinking of it makes me want to roll a few blues...
I really am not interested in pulling on this banner. Hopefully I have one of the bonus arena units for next week because that is really the only thing that would get me to pull. I'll wait for Celica by grinding SP for my Minerva and Lucina. I am still trying to decide between Reposition and Draw Back for Lucina, and Life or Death and Fury for Minerva, but I have lots of time...

Honestly, even with all of that praise, I'm not summoning on the banner for now. I really just wanted Faye for the bow, and got her (would have liked to build her up to be a decent unit, but -speed T.T). I have all the characters I need to never roll again and still have a pretty solid team. That is, unless IS decides to power creep. If anyone is looking for some new units, or Blue units, I do highly recommend trying for Lukas. Of course, Azura (even a second one) isn't bad. Just grind her to 40 for SP and merge her into the on you have so you can do SI whenever without having to worry about the grind.

I was very surprised by Lukas. He's tankier than Effie, physically. He singlehandedly makes teams require a caster or dragon of some sort to deal with him, because physical just isn't going to cut it.
Magic-wise he seems to have the same problems as Ephraim though. Gets doubled easily, so blue casters and blue dragons will likely orko him, not to mention green casters.

Not really all that compelled to pull anything from this banner. Doesn't help that it's here a while before Fire Emblem Echoes releases in the west and so I have no idea about any of the characters personalities and whether or not I like them yet. Their skills and stats aren't anything outstanding either, so I'll hold onto my orbs for now.
Thinking about it, there's not really any characters left that I really want out of those currently available and I can't think of any outside of Ike that I'm really anticipating the release of.

As for Celica's group, she's got Saber, Atlas, Jesse, Kamui, Valbar and Deen. It's amazing. Certainly not a common occurrence in modern JRPGs and something I welcome with open arms. Hopefully their Heroes artwork will be suitable.
I think you have to do that one on normal difficulty. Other than that, I dunno, worked fine for me. I brought Cecilia and Cordelia for that one and got both done at once.

You should spend them first, because the "learned" status of skills does transferr after merging so you don't have to learn them again. This enables you to effectively "transfer" the SP used even though the unused SP doesn't get transferred.
The best part of the banner is Faye's thousand yard stare.
Feel like we're running out of stat lines to vary at this point. Lukas' super high DEF (to the point of tanking through WTA) is a thing but there's more mages than ever in the high score tier ranges due to the lessened BST weighting so I'm not too concerned initially. Not sure if that's a particularly good reason for some power creep to hit but really looking for something to shake things up just to see the how it happens.
I guess maybe will do a pull just to hope for Arena bonus fodder?

Can't hit nearly as hard, but she's way better defensively due to her high RES. If I'm ever lucky enough to pull another Hector, she's getting Distant Counter. With the right build, I think Sheena could be just as good as Hector, if not flat-out better.
I've specifically pulled for Nino on her banner on two accounts (like, >100 orbs on the Nino banner each) and never got a single one. One got a Hector and eventually got all of the Ninos when pulling on the spring banner.
My other account still has zero Ninos despite pulling almost exclusively green since the Princess banner. It's around 250+ orbs on green at this point, probably? I should give up but I feel like I should just out of principle and to fall into the sunk cost even more.
I'm trying to convince myself to not pull for Claire for the EO Princess vibe her portrait gives me, unit value be damned.
Neutral base stats + default weapons:
Alm - 45 HP, 33(+16 Mt) ATK, 30 SPD, 28 DEF, 22 RES
Faye - 42 HP, 30(+11 Mt) ATK, 25 SPD, 26 DEF, 31 RES
