Sorry but I'm sitting here watching MacGruber for the zillionth time and just had to come here and say this may be the most underrated comedy of all-time. A lot of people are finally recognizing Will Forte's knack for being a loveable asshole thanks to the brilliant Last Man on Earth, but he'll never top the 'Grubes imo. I can't wait for the sequel!

My personal litmus test for people's taste in comedy. If you love this movie, then you are good people. if you hate this movie, then you have no taste!

When he is fucking his dead wife on the tombstone, grunting, and thrusting, I don't think I have ever laughed as hard during a movie. At certain points it put me into a coughing fit on the floor from laughing so hard.

Oh man, I didn't even realize I make all my buddies watch this if they haven't already. So far they've all loved it so I haven't had to ditch any friends yet, haha. I feel this way about most "stupid" comedies though. If you can't enjoy a Dumb and Dumber or Step Brothers then you take yourself too seriously for me.

What is it with letting Lonely Island directed projects bomb. First Hot Rod, then this, then Popstar.

Though seriously, that they managed to take the one-note joke of SNL MacGruber and get this out of it is incredible.

I really hope that sequel gets made some day.

Hot Rod is the greatest movie ever made. Nothing brings me more sadness than when I remember it used to be on Netflix and now is not.

I really like Hot Rod but the Jorma Teccone directed MacGruber and Popstar are on another level imo. He's my favorite comedy writer/director by far based off just two movies. He has my exact same sense of humor. Every little thing in those movies works like gangbusters for me.

Wait, MacGruber came out in 2010? Fuck. Whenever I heard people talking about this movie I always imagined it as being something from like the mid-90s. I've never seen the film (obviously) or the SNL sketches it was based on, so I guess I just assumed it came out closer to when MacGyver was a thing and SNL movies seemed more common? (Actually it probably has more to do with hearing Dan Ryckert talk about it and he's always talking about 90's action movies). No wonder I only started hearing of it sort of recently... lol.

The smash cut of MacGruber screaming at the sky after the van blows up to him wearing a suit in a dark room staring out the window is one of the hardest times I've ever laughed at anything.

"What did you think of the eulogies?"
"Very touching... I would have cut down on the swear words myself."
"Well they were fucking great guys, and this is a fucking asshole of a day."

Both sex scenes make me squirt tears.
He sounds like he's trying to imitate an angry weasel. And the drool...

Definitely one of my favs, and super underrated. Just made a friend watch it a couple of weeks ago and it brought us all to tears with laughter.

I do love the non-chalant way the entire story is told, from "mowing her box" and "I told her to terminate it obviously, so we could start fresh."

Made me howl the first time I saw it. :)

Best scenes for me are still the coffee scene, particularly MacGruber telling her that he would never leave a tip and makes her take it back out, and the screaming, and "Hoss Bender, dead at the age of who the freak cares."

and "I will suck your dick. I will suck your fucking dick. I will do it...Just tell me what you want me to fuuuuu-uuuuck!"

It's even funnier if you've listened to the commentary on the blu-ray and hear Kristin Wiig talk about how she was getting legit disgusted because Will Forte was sweating all over her face. If you look at the look on her face, she's legit grossed out.
