First Wonder Woman clip released

Looked decent. It's cool that WB remembered that super people doing super stuff doesn't have to be dour and gloomy all the time but it still feels somewhat off. Chris is charismatic enough to pull off even the flat jokes in here but Gal just seems kinda there.

Loved it. The chemistry is there, her fish out of water and his affable old-school charm. And the action sequence has that Saturday matinee serial fun. Patty Jenkins has my respect, and WB's too, I would imagine.

would be amazing if DC redeemed themselves with a female lead film. Pretty good oppurtunity for boatloads of good will here

That's not bad at all, but I still just don't understand the color scheme.

It's like "Hey, remember that movie Dick Tracy, with all the crazy colors?"

"Yeah"

"Well, I want to do the opposite of that, with blue. Everything blue. Except a few orange bits"

It's supposed to contrast with the beauty of Themysceria by being harsh and ugly.

I cannot stomach another superhero movie, I just can't. But this looks alright. Hope it will do well in box office.

That bullet block at the beginning is such a great hommage towards Superman 78. Just with reverse roles now.

Chris Pine seems indispensable to this movie.

I know people are trying to use this impression as an argument about Gal Gadot or the WW portrayal, but it's perfectly natural for this movie. For any movie where an 'alien' is sent to our world you need another main character to ground the story and interactions. That's writing 101. WW is someone above us, foreign, and so the role of relatable Joe and goofball falls to Chris Pine.

This is Pure Gold from the Reeves Superman shoutout to our saviour Patty Jenkins👌👌👏👍, I request mods to plz add Reeves Superman Tribute to the Title

I do worry that he's so charismatic that Gal will look like shit next to him. Hopefully this doesn't happen.

It's exactly what will happen. And when he dies in the movie we'll be left with no actors and i'll go downhill.

She'd look bad even next to Paris Hilton in House of Wax. She's absolutely horrible and the worst thing about this movie.

Have fun while Chris Pine's character is still alive because the film is going to be a trainwreck after his inevitable death, and you better hope Ezra Miller and Jason Momoa do good enough to carry JL's heavy weights such as Wooden Gal and "whatever, I'm done with this" Affleck.

Because it's in the World War I. Even if he doesn't explicity die, he'll be out of the DCEU anyways unless they go back to that timeline in WW2 or whatever.

That, and I doubt Chris Pine is fine with being an Agent Carter tier character in bigger movies.

Looks like Chris Pine is going to be doing some heavy lifting in this movie.

We've read this comment before in other WW threads. This looks to be the most polarizing movie to come out since Ghostbusters. Discussed on an predominantly male message board that over the years has increasingly devolved into click batey drive buy posts and commente. Should be fun.

If they're going to go full Donner, there has to be a scene where Diana and Steve fly in the invisible jet and we get to hear Steve's inner thoughts wondering about whether Diana likes him or not.

Don't you joke.

Steve as the damsel always amuses me.

This is a work of art.

Now that you mention it, I forgot Elena Anaya is in the movie. Hopefully she can help carry Gadot's "make the class' pretty girl the protagonist of our play even if she's the worst actress in the whole high-school, she's pretty so who cares?" so-called acting.

Why do you hate this woman? Honestly, it kinda makes me uncomfortable.

No idea also. I mean i can understand the cautiousness before BvS. As we really had no idea what to expect. But she nailed that part. As Wonder Woman and Diana (museum scene is great) and so far she looks also great playing the "fish out of water" role. But i have a feeling even if she is again great in this movie. People will find a way. Same about the body talk that always seems to come back. Just one of those things.

I feel this film is either going to be one of two things....

1) A film that, stunning us all, will actually turn out to be a legitimately great superhero movie.

2) A film that will turn out to be a historic mess.

There will be no middle ground.
