I mean I loved hearing that Franken rant but nows the time to ask questions to support that claim, not make the claim itself...

And after all that, all she'll say is "This is classified information, and I cannot respond to that"

A lot of this isn't about getting an answer, rather getting it on the record for later usage or media to pick up on it. There's a reason they ask the same question 30 times too, to hopefully trip them as well as Cruz tried to Yates earlier where he said he "Didn't understand" why she refused to confirm/deny and answer earlier but clarified it under his questioning.

Blumenthal is right. Bring in a special prosecutor and get this shit handled. It's clear as hell the republicans in the house and Senate aren't gonna do shit.

Most of the democrats have brought up independent investigation and a special prosecutor. All needing Republican Congress to do so and will not see the light of day.

I would think Franken did his rant so all these suspicions go on record and for the soundbite media stuff since Yates can't outright confirm anything at this point.

Yep.

Instead, though, you'll get questions about a completely unrelated EO.

It's so transparent it hurts.

He should point out that literally all Republicans have left the hearing besides the one that's required to be there as even further evidence of how they aren't taking it seriously at all. Unfortunately even that doesn't matter though because all the power is in the R's court regarding the special prosecutor /independent investigation. Although I guess it makes sense that they wouldn't want to sit through all of this stuff as I guess I notice that the Dems have also been leaving after their questioning too. Just weird that all the GOP is gone already with 4 Dems still there.

This is a fantastic line of questioning.
