Didn't unlocked resolutions and framerate used to be the standard 15 years ago? What happened ay.

Super pumped for this though.

You wouldn't have thought Vanquish would have ended up being set in an alterative good timeline, eh?

I know right. Although, considering the plot I guess Platinum saw through our sketchy ass future regardless of presidency.

The Evil Within defiantly seem intended be played with a controller, hell, it even advises you to.

Read that word out loud, it's pretty far off from the word you wanted to type. :)

Definitely and defiantly are 2 very different words and I don't know why so many people make that mistake. People typing "could of" is somewhat understandable considering how you usually say it. This though, it's not excusable in any way! :p

I mean it works fine in that context tho. The game might rec you play it with a controller, but it's rather defiant of them to do so considering KB/m is better as far as the gameplay is concerned anyways >.>

90% of the time someone uses defiantly on the internet, they mean definitely. And that is most likely the case here as well. :p

Did you just assumed I intentionally typed that?

I played Evil Within with KBAM, it was great. Nothing about it really needed a controller, it's not like a lot of other TPS where you're constantly humping and jumping cover and whatnot and it's not like RE6 with a ton of directional melee moves to master. And I say that as someone that plays most TPS with a controller.

If anything, the argument against Vanquish mouse and keyboard would probably be that it's probably going to trivialize too much of the challenge in the game since it's a healthy amount of fast moving enemies, an incredibly fast moving protagonist and a bunch of laser-fuckin'-accurate weapons, the two literal ultra-accurate laser weapons in the game not withstanding.

That's kinda just how the cookie crumbles when you plop a console-focused shooter onto PC with little design tweaks, though.

I'm guessing that's why Evil Within specifically recommended pad too because the unupgraded weapons in that game got some healthy RE4 weapon sway that a mouse circumvents.

trivializing challenge or not, it'll make for some awesome skill videos

Hoping for a way to disable the three extra DLC weapons. If there's no way to play with the original 8 weapons only, that's a bummer.

modders, I have one request for you. Weapon wheel, please.

What's wrong with the DLC weapons? I was actually pretty excited to try them for the fist time.

The DLC weapons are pretty overtuned. Guessing that's why Wesker would want an opt-out. You could just not pick them up, but then that means thats fewer weapon drops you get over the longrun of the game.

Maybe they'll technically make it a DLC add on again, which would mean we could just delete it from the main game if we wanted to.

This is a Vanquish boss fight. I can't imagine you'll be disappointed.

Thank you. This is perfect. Everyone should watch this.

As i said, Gears cannot touch Vanquish when it comes to gameplay. The level of depth Vanquish provide is on another realm that Gear cannot reach. Yes, some people can say that the game is different but in the end of the day, both titles are third person shooters, both titles include a cover mechanic, and both title follow a story. Yes, one is an apple and the other is an orange but they are both still fruits that can be compared. Yes, vanquish is by no means perfect but when it comes to gameplay it's the greatest aspect that made everyone in general scream for this game.

Oh. Good luck everyone on trying to get up Hamburger hill on Hard and God Hard. I died over 100 times trying to get up that hill but i never gave up!

I tried to play this and hated it. Can anyone explain to me why its so beloved? I got as far the section where you have to defend the APC in the dark tunnel from the bomb robots and I almost threw my controller in frustration.

Vanquish is so beloved because it's fucking fun.

things to put on a macro just like I did with Bayonetta. . .

1 boost-dodging. . .

Get a steam controller -> make your own weapon wheel!

Though the counterpoint would be that it's both easier and more fun to perform ballet without a ball and chain weighing you down.

AutoHotkey would be one method.

Steam has some feature that's more easier to use than autohotkey, but I never use it since I already have a cronus max which is more reliable than that and hardware based. I still use autohotkey though for rebindings for k/bmouse.

Been using the Switch Pro Controller with Bayonetta and it's been amazing once I got it calibrated correctly. Can't wait to rip this game with that controller, it's easily the best controller to come out in years.

I've just downloaded and tried Bayonetta!

Glad to say that in my humble GTX 570 I was able to play that introduction (which is quite chaotic) at 1080p and 60fps, highest settings, with little more than 50% GPU usage.

I mean... I have only played this game on PS3! So that's a HUGE upgrade for me! Will definitely finish it once more! =P

Can't wait for Vanquish, which I actually never played beyond the demo, in any platform.

It's a console port. Actually 15 years ago things used to be even worse in that regard. I still have a ton of games that require modification to render at anything but their hardcoded 4:3 resolutions.

Oh that's right, this is out now.

I got Vanquish and Demon's Souls for the holiday in 2009. It was a good year.

Tonight will be a good night. Vanquish on KBM.

Edit: Oh wait May 25. Oh well. Now I won't be feeling the itch to play during Mother's Day.

For sure, your weapon sways and will cause you to miss ocassionally (which is intended), with a mouse you never have to worry about that because the mouse lets you correct your aim instantly.

It's much more fun on a gamepad.

Both games have a 'roadie run' also.

Actually, watching these videos, I'm beginning to wonder if I can actually do most of this on Keyboard and Mouse lol

I mean, I played [and scrubbed out on the DLC for] Cloudbuilt... I think that's the most execution heavy thing I've done on mouse and keyboard.

It will be easier, I think ...
I still prefer to play in control

Bought the game on bundle stars, and since I have bought Bayonetta from them also, they have sent me sweet 30% off voucher code. For a game of this caliber, a bargain.

I mean more the fact that the game limits you to holding three weapons and one kind of bomb at any time. It would be awesome if we could hold all weapons at once.

you can hold two bombs at once though? but i do wish the game had extra slot for weapons like how they handle bombs.
