We almost went to the zoo yesterday but left it being a little tired and thinking the weather wouldn't be great for it. How wrong we were about the latter. Hopefully the sun sticks around until tomorrow.

Definitely don't get as nice meat pies over here or maybe I haven't been to the right place. Don't worry Podge, the season will be over soon and your tears can stop for a few months ;).

How is the Zoo? Never been, but love the show on the telly, looks magical

Still managed to beat Chelsea so that'll tide me over for a while.

The zoo is class. How have you never been to the zoo???

You're starting to sound like an old Arsenal fan, whose only achievement was St Totteringham's day! teehee

What's the craziest animal that they have at the zoo? Do they have trash pandas?!

The zoo is superb. I'm generally a little iffy on zoos at times because I think the line between trying to preserve species by keeping them to breed and live in zoos and simply caging up foreign animals for show can be very fine at times. But Dublin Zoo is great and I think their transparency with a show about what goes on behind closed doors shows their intent. Plus I've seen people moan and complain with reviews about certain animals not being out or "just sitting around" as if it is a show but I'm glad that's how it often is since it shows they won't just push the animals to do anything they don't want to. Last time I was there was last August so I can't wait, but yeah how have you never been?

Oh and they don't have trash pandas but they have Red Pandas which are practically the most adorable animals in existence.

Ended up going to the zoo which was amazing. Quietest I have ever seen it and we were incredibly lucky to see the wolves, one tiger and lion come directly up to the screens. I'll post some pics later.

First time in a while I've enjoyed sunny weather.

It's been years since I have been to the Zoo. I wonder if it's changed much since I was there.

I was planning on getting one of those new Sony Xperia Xz premium phones out at the end of the month but Three won't be selling them. Meteor or Vodafone probably got it exclusive or something.

Has anyone bought tickets from Ticketmaster for any gig recently (in the last 2 weeks)? I did last Friday and got an email with an update to the T&Cs for the tickets saying this:
"The original named purchaser of the ticket(s) must be in attendance and photo ID checks will be made on entry to the venue. If the ID does not match the name on the ticket, you will be refused entry.

If you booked more than one ticket your guest(s) must arrive at the same time as you."
Is this a new system to avoid people reselling tickets? I'm all for restricting touts but this is a bit fucking ridiculous if this is going to become the norm. I'm not even sure if I can go to the gig now so how can I sell it?

Think so. They're tryna push their own site more cuz then they'll get a cut of it.

To be honest I doubt they'll bother checking. It it's anyway sold out it'll just be too busy to check everything.

How can you resell those though if you have to have the original ticket buyer present? Will their own site somehow fix this? I really wish we had more ticket outlets like in the UK, Ticketmaster really are awful.

I have two other completely unrelated questions for you Dublin guys. Do any of you know of anywhere that fixes soft toys? I know there used to be the Teddy Bear and Doll's Hospital but they're online only now and I wouldn't want to send anything in the post. I might even have to just ask a tailor or place like the Zip Yard to see if they'd be willing to do it since it's a small job but I'd rather go with someone reliable.

I can't remember my other question, ah well.

My dogs hate the water too, place the curse of fuck upon it.

We were sunning ourselves in the garden watching the football on the laptop and playing Xenogears on the vita. Then met a friend from London and went to the Hairy Lemon for pints (of coke for me) and then Wow Burger in Mary's. Town was packed and people were taking stools out of the pub and putting them on the read to drink their pints outside, very nice atmosphere

Haven't popped in here in a long time. Good weather is killing me now I'm back in work. Was in Greece last week and it was amazing. Great to come home to decent weather but it's shite being stuck in an office. Leaving my job in a couple of weeks and couldn't be happier.

Do people actually watch fair city or is whatever storyline involving someone being locked in a shed for several weeks just so dumb its crossing over?

Hail in may, it's a miracle...

Also refuse to believe anybody watches fair city, fair city is just a gig for bad actors that can't get other work, welfare for actors so to say

Wow,

I didn't think the Zelda concert would sell out so quickly.

I was told the vip seats were sold out at the theatre but I can get good vip seats from ticketmaster.

I didn't even know the Zelda symphony show was coming here. Heard decent stuff about these shows.

Usually we hear about these a few weeks in advance as I am on the mailing list but I heard the advert on 2Fm at work on Monday.

It's in the Bord Gais theatre and I think only the €90 tickets and the VIP ones left.

Yo guys, any of you know where I can put on a bet for the PL Champions League places to go to a play off? The odds on UK bookies were huge but I couldn't find anywhere here doing it, not online anyway.

Would have been a terrible bet ha. Needed some crazy ass permutations for it to happen

Heh yeah guess it wasn't needed. I was only looking to put on a fiver on each anyway. It wasn't as impossible as some people say, much better chance of it happening than I've seen in any of the top leagues for a while.
