I picked up the deluxe barbarian and Cador since I think he looks cool. Couldn't justify buying the trolls, though even if they're pretty dope. I think with 2.0, this brings my ML to about 15. That's way too many lol.

So I opened up NECA Shin Godzilla and I love it. It's pretty awesome for the price. Now I really want the Monsterarts versions but apparently it was a Bandai Web Exclusive and is now more than twice release price on the secondary market. So no choice but to wait for the next version with the repaint and effect parts.
But I'm jonesing for Godzilla/Gojira now. Anybody here collect Monsterarts Godzilla? Which is the best/favorite?

I know there's a Monsterarts Mothra, and a Bandai vinyl figure, but Neca hasn't made one yet to my knowledge.

I've been lucky enough to see two major Star Wars model and prop exhibits, one in San Diego and one in San Jose. And also a Star Trek one in San Jose. Also one for The Muppets in San Diego with like everything from The Muppet Show and the first movie.
Would do any of those again in a second.
I am curious if there are/will be others in this Game Classics line.

I only own one Godzilla Monsterarts. It's the GMK Godzilla, since he's my all time favorite Godzilla design. I figured, if I could only afford one, he was the one to get. I love the soulless eyes. He just looks so mean. I think Monsterarts did a great job capturing him.
I also own Gamera.
King Ghidorah as well.
Super Mechagodzilla is on his way to join the party. They were all pretty expensive, but I love them all. They are flat out amazing figures and I couldn't recommend them highly enough. Worth every penny. I just wish I had more pennies to own more of them.
So good. I need both versions.

Wow they look great! Yeah the GMK looks really good and he always stuck out to me due to his origin. I'd probably try to get Ghidorah at some point soon, but it looks like the prices for him and the mecha version are pretty up there now, unfortunately.

Thanks. That was a mess. Double Trollble sold out so I just bought both trolls individually since the smaller characters I wanted all sold out and I planned to spend a bit over $200 anyway.

Wanted a Luke figure in the box to hang in my sons room so I got the 40th Anniversary Black Series farm boy Luke and I don't see why it's so hard for Hasbro to do decent faces. DC Collectibles does a decent job on the same scale and they are in the same price point.
Why bother putting effort into getting the face right when you've already signed a deal that limits your competition.

Get Out is way better but they're both amazing.
Yeah the only decently detailed/painted ones are scaled for X-Plus stuff or other 12" vinyls.
The Godzilla-specific ones are way up in price now. There's the Bandai Tamashii Act Option Building sets that are like ~$25, but those have no paint at all.
So I might try instead to figure out how to make my own.

There have been some really strong faces on the Marvel side lately, like GotG v2 Gamora, Nebula and Yondu. (whistling face)

It looks pretty good, but why can't they do other characters instead of just a bunch of Sora?
Also, I finished the Bandai Battle Droid + STAP. It's a great looking model that's a nightmare to pose due to extremely weak ankles and certain parts that fall off way too easily.
I mean, I don't like the open mouth either, but saying the face/helmet are completely wrong seems hyperbolic. The sculpt looks pretty accurate to me, although the face they chose is pretty unattractive.
