Dragon Ball fans, how do you feel about the inclusion of GT content in future games?

It seems like GT is generally pretty polarizing, you either loathe it as the 1990's money grab it clearly is or you find it pretty cool for being an alternate extension to the Z story with some interesting ideas of its own. However with the popular DB Super recently having some pretty captivating and interesting arcs, GT gets completely lost as an entity in the Dragon Ball universe and fandom. Super not only contains most of the relevant threads to make it a direct canonical sequel to Z, but it even makes the original Dragon Ball more relevant than it has been in decades. You could argue that Super chugs on at the same rate that GT is becoming ever more irrelevant(and perhaps reviled). Obviously Dragon Ball Heroes is one of the more popular "games" to use and expand on GT material, but GT stuff also still finds a place in modern console and handheld games like Xenoverse and Fusions.

Personally I quite like the GT aesthetic, at least in terms of most of the main protagonist and antagonist designs, but I could definitely see most of it being an acquired taste. I feel that SS4 is the best Super Saiyan design by far and Super 17 is the best 17 design(regardless of how they handled the character himself). But I'm more interested in how the community feels about DB franchise games continuing to use GT characters, designs, and forms in Dragon Ball games going forward. Do the designs still have any merit or worth(for that matter, did they ever)? Are they an important enough piece of Dragon Ball history to preserve and cherish? Do you want to see a bigger or smaller spotlight on GT stuff now that it's over 20 years old? Do you think FighterZ should or will contain any GT designs or will it be one of the first major Dragon Ball game releases in years to omit the series?

GT is like the Star Wars prequels to me. It's not great by itself, but I still like that it exists because I like when its characters show up in the games.

Super Saiyan 4 is hands down my favorite Super Saiyan form, so I'm completely in favor of GT showing up. I love all the crazy what if stuff in Heroes too, with SSJ4 Gohan and Broly.

Baby is pretty cool too, as is Omega Shenron

I wouldn't mind it, I actually enjoy some of GT.
I much prefer SSJ4 to SSJblue or any of that. But then again, that doesn't seem to be a very popular opinion to have.

SSJ4 Goku looks cool
SSJ4 Vegeta looks dumb

I don't really mind SS4 and maybe Omega Shenron but otherwise I'm fine with other things getting missed.

Super's rise is especially making it easier to skip out on, they're getting a lot of new sources to pull things from so I don't feel like GT needs much attention, but I could give or take a nod. Won't make me mad or angry either way, I guess.

I'm expecting FighterZ to totally skip it for the first game, though. Especially since the roster is going to start on the lower end.

Any GT stuff is fine with me. At the very least, SS4 should be in every DB game. It's my favorite transformation. Gogeta is the best character too.

SSJ4 Goku looks cool
SSJ4 Vegeta looks dumb

Truer words have never been spoken. I always liked SSJ4 Goku in terms of colors and how it varies from the traditional super saiyan forms

Vegeta on the other hand, just looks like an afterthought. Its not horrible, just a waste of potential

I enjoyed GT just as much as Z, and am always happy to see it included. It's why Budokai 3 is still the GOAT Dragon Ball game for me (outside of just being a much better game than all the others :p).

I enjoyed dragonball GT in a few ways and disliked it in others.

I didn't like how they softened Trunk's appearance and made him look like an archaeologist digging am excavation for dinosaur bones and I didn't like Goku becoming a kid.

I did however appreciate the SSJ4 form, and Gogeta, of course.

Also, was it ever addressed how and why Vegeta skipped SSJ3 entirely?

Well.. Vegeta SS4 is an afterthought. His transformation is forced, not natural.

Even though DBGT is very lacking in comparison to Z, and after having catched up to DB Super.

I can say..., without any doubt.

Dragon Ball Super is carbage, inconsistent, and an illogical shitshow. I don't consider it to be cannon, made by Akira or not.

So I guess I don't mind the inclusion of GT content.

If Super ever catches up to the GT timeline and starts doing it's own thing with characters like Uub and Pan, seems like GT would become less and less relevant. But the games are already full of weird time travel & what if scenarios, GT could just become another timeline that shows up in the types of games that want to use it. Games invent a lot of their own stuff too.

I have a feeling we probably won't see much if any GT stuff in FighterZ, just because of the limited roster if nothing else.

SS4 is a misleading name as it implies it's a successor of SS3. However, SS4 is the controlled golden Ozaru form.

I think games should have content from the whole franchise. I mean I hate most of GTs villains and story. However it should still be represented. It has plenty of fans. At the very least SSj4 is still widely popular even if most of GT is not

GT gets more representation than original Dragonball

I would take Bacterian over Ice Shenron any day

I'm not a huge fan of GT but I do think some of the designs like Super 17 and Baby are neat at least. Show trips over itself at all times but I enjoy the ridiculousness that is SSJ4 Gogeta, even if we only get a few minutes of it.

I think Super is the one which should be ignored, everything about that show is lazy, the writing, the characters, the story , the transformations and especially the animation.

Its so bad that everytime I try to give it a shot, I have to resort to skipping scenes just to get to the parts I might be interested in.

I don't care much for GT, but it has a few essentials like SSJ4, SSJ4 Gogeta and Omega Shenron, the rest can be ignored.

Super on the other hand, I wish to be forgotten to time.

It's barely touched upon in the show itself, though they go more in-depth in supplementary books. Essentially, Super Saiyan 3 is a very inefficient and power-hungry state that tires out the user too quickly. Goku was able to achieve the form in the afterlife because non-living spirits don't suffer fatigue. It's possible that Vegeta had an opportunity to reach SS3 but decided against it due to all the drawbacks.

I'm not a huge GT fan, but some of the villains have some cool ideas, and SSJ4 is pretty cool

I'm all for just more Dragon Ball content

I like some of GT as flawed as it is. Pan, General Rilldo, Nova Shenron, and Goku's awesome blue/yellow Gi are always welcome additons as far as I'm concerned.

SS4 is also infinitely less stupid than that God/Blue crap.

I still would love for GT content to showup in the main games, but Super can be the main focus.

I feellike Xenoverse 2 was a good example of this, GT characters and transformations were included, but plotwise there was only Super related stuff post-Z. It's still a piece of Dragon Ball media and everybit a part of its history as the rest of the series, regardless of its status and what people think about it.

I think GT is awful, but that doesn't matter when talking about a Dragon ball game. I'll take SSJ4 and the Shenrons in a game it doesn't matter
But I will never take Super 17, he deserves to be in the trash and forgotten.

I didn't like at all the show, but I like SSJ4 design... so I'm ok if there is content about GT, but I still don't care much about it... if it's there ok, if there is not ok.
