This guy is Shadow the Hedgehog in human form. He's the worst.

Other than Curtis and Diggle's helmet that looks fine. It's also a single image taken from a 22 episode season.

Well I've watched the first six or so episodes of the season, and aside from Tyrese hamming it up as the villain, it really is terrible.

Amell has somehow become an even worse actor over time. It's crazy how he's managed to not even slightly improve.

Want contrived? This included the crossover with Supergirl
where in her episode she and Bore-El had just split up only to have them get back together on Flash the following night

See, I forgot about this because I almost immediately forget what happened on every Supergirl episode I watch.

They made Barry keep torturing a dude for reasons even after it proved pointless.

Go back and read Wally's run on flash, time travel was treated as mega important and not something to fuck around with.

That wouldn't be a meaningful counterargument even if I happened to like shows that demonstrate some of these same flaws. Which I totally do. But there are always differences either in execution or else there are other benefits to it that I can enjoy other factors. But they don't matter. We're talking about CW shows and how they stand on their own.

The problem with CW shows is that the stuff I mentioned is all there is. I've spend several dozens of hours watching them out of curiousity at first, then out of habit. And in all those several hours, I cannot think of anything from them that I'd ever want to see again. There is nothing or next to nothing about those shows that's salvageable.
My point is no show is perfect and I bet your shows could face a ton of the same scrutiny. Saying even the best seasons of the show were awful is pure worthless hyperbole

I don't see how they could ever make believable tension when dealing with someone that has powers like The Flash.

That said, I'm glad they tried and will continue watching, but every single encounter with a foe that isn't a speedster is bullshit. Every one.

No, it's my genuine opinion, one in which I could have easily supported in the past when I actually remembered whatever the hell happened in these shows. But that was 3, maybe 4 years ago at this point and I can't explain why I think these shows are such putrid shit in the same detail. It's been too long so I just remember general stuff like bad acting, poor writing, and unimpressive action scenes were a nigh-universal constant with nothing to redeem them unless your standards of quality were so low that they truly amounted to "ZOMG THEY SHOWED KING SHARK, THOSE MAD MEN". They really are that bad and they are comparatively worse than most of the things I watch.

Hold on, friend! I'd love to share with you some swell news about the Windows 8 Metro UI! Wait, where are you going?
Even when I watched the show I hated so many aspects of it. My biggest pet peeve was their habit of making their characters idiots when the plot required it. This culminated with the very end of season 2 which I thought was so monumentally stupid that I didn't even bother with season 3.

I finally quit at season 4 of Arrow, season 2 of Flash

But I watched up to there, and no. Every episode. Every season. All awful.

Look, I know, everyone has their own tastes and opinions and stuff, but I am genuinely baffled at what anyone can find redeeming about any of these shows. Whats your favorite part, the stilted, inhuman acting of every character like the script was written by aliens who've never seen a person? Maybe it's the the formulatic pacing of the plot in each episode that's packed full of stupid melodrama bullshit? That you get to see your favorite comic characters portrayed badly and have their personalities mangled to barely resembling their comics personalities? The trash action choreography?

The OP is complaining about a dirtbike that can outrun speedsters because of the continuity logic errors it presents, but stupid bullshit like that has been the lifeblood of the show since season 1. It's been years since I watched it, so I can't recall the specifics, but when I was watching it, there wasn't an episode where continuity or logic didn't break for the convenience of the story.

CW superhero shows are the shows you watch if you want to remember how bad cape comics can be.

The only season I really enjoyed was season 1 just because the villain was so good. My favorite part of season 1 is probably
Barry breaking the time barrier for the first time.

I liked season 3 more than season 2

Mostly cause Zoom was a terrible bastardization of the character

And I have less affection for Savitar so I was okay with their take on him

Essentially why I have no hope for season 4

The worst thing about this show is that its been ESTABLISHED that when Barry is moving very fast its like the world is frozen but sometimes he can get hit or cant just disarm bad guys and has to dodge them instead.

I think part of the problem is prestige TV is the new standard so all these shows getting dragged out over 23/24 episodes feel like they're dragging their feet while being terribly underbudgeted. If everything season 3 wanted to do was packaged into 12 more expensive, meaningful episodes it would have landed way better.

Not really because it was just Season 1 done worse just like Season 2 was. How they looked at S2 and decided, "Hey let's do that again except more depressing!" and nobody controlling the production slapped the shit out of them I dunno.

Can't wait for what goofy speedster they have to resort to now to fill their lame quota.

I couldn't finish S3 of Flash, and I had to force myself to finish season 4 of Arrow. Like the lack of budget in Arrow really quickens the death of my suspension of disbelief I swear.

And I really can't not roll my eyes at Wild Dog's weapon of choice being dual wielding pistols but yet he apparently never kills anyone EVER. I really don't know why that bothers me as much as it does but I really bothers me. That and the fact he has never reloaded throughout this entire season lol. Petty reasons I know, but I was also someone who was really annoyed back when Oliver would shoot an arrow into the sky then zipline away (apparently many of us complained about that bc in season 4 they always made sure he was shooting at something, bless them for that!).

I thought they started using tranquilizers or whatever

So does everyone in arrow don a costume at least once? Isn't Ragman in the show? He should be the Superman of the universe

I've suffered people singing the show's praises since the pilot aired. This show was never particularly good. It's a live action Saturday morning cartoon. That in and of itself made it somewhat unique and charming. Of course the first season was the best because that shtick has an expiration date on it. At some point the questionable writing and nonsequiturs were going to catch up with the show.

If you want a quality comic show that reaches incredible heights more consistently and is overall more consistently good, then go watch Agents of Shield, because presently it's the only show that's getting it right and making it look easy.

I remember when I naively thought that S3 would be focused on Grodd, not the half-assed 2 episodes we got instead. In hindsight it was obvious considering their budget, but it's a damn shame all the same.

I disliked the 2 grood episodes. The lack of budget made it pretty terrible. They used a ton of tricks to make it look higher budget than it is, but writing a story around those tricks made the story pretty dumb.

Yeah, Flash Season 2 and 3 are pretty awful compared to the generally pretty great season 1.

Legends, Arrow and AoS made strong comebacks in seasons 2, 5 and 4 respectively, so I have hope.

Supergirl is forever doomed. The lead actress is probably the only salvageable thing about that show.

I'd say it has more decent elements than that like Martian Manhunter's actor, Maggie's, etc the show is just so incompetent I don't even think an entire new crew could salvage it.

Honestly Arrow S3 and S4 might have been worse but there were clearly good points and seemed to be directions to go to fix the show.

I think what both arrow and flash need is less people in their teams. Specifically less family and romantic interests fucking things up every time.

i'll always remember how barry just gave his speedforce to Zoom while he had no more hostage at all

the dumbest and funniest thing i've seen on this show!
