Haven't you ever listened to Ten Years Gone, Please Read The Letter, Tangerine or The Rain Song? His voice is incredible and he can do delicate, he isn't just about 'wailing'. Plant has the Midas touch. If by expressive you mean wailing like he's having his testicles removed, then yes, it's extremely expressive.
Just realised it's pointless trying to reason with you because you don't have a clue. No, Plant is an absolutely awful singer. Led Zeppelin could have been one of the greatest bands of all time if they had ditched Plant. He had no clue what he's doing.
He's up there for sure. Mike Patton has one of the most versatile pipes in rock.

Freddie's voice is butter though.
Hahahahahaha no.You mean Robert Plant.
Axl Rose and Freddie Mercury are in a league of their own IMHO.
This has to be a joke.Off the top of my head these guys are so much better:
John Lennon
Thom Yorke
Jim James
Eddie Vedder
David Gilmour
Roger Waters
Paul McCartney
Bob Dylan
Who is HR?
And yeah, Mike Paton has great voice.
So does Jonathan Davis from Korn.
Corey Taylor is good too.
And one always overlooked singer is Joey Belladonna from Anthrax.
You mean Robert Plant.
This is worse than that one poster asking what the song from the latest Stranger Things trailer was!
Well fuck. Nothing to discuss here really.Scientifically proven in fact

LoL.
One can make a claim that Stipe wasn't even the best singer in his own band.
yeah props to mercury, cornell and I will give layne stalley a mention as he was siiick especially in his early years.
but cmon people, nobody... NOBODY in any rock band EVER can sing better than Mike Patton.
i'm not starting a joke, it's that easy... no evidence required.
No one compares.
Yeah I've never been a Queen fan. I find the whole resurgence of Queen with the younger internet generation amusing.
Queen, Radiohead and Muse - the Internet Trifecta of sheeple masturbation.

You really don't know much about vocalists if you lol at Axl Rose being included
Jim Morrison is not a good singer.I'd also place Jim Morrison above Freddy.
It's amazing in clips like these how young everyone in the front of the crowd is. Even into the '90s big arena rock act tickets were in the $20 range. Now all I see in the front rows are older people who can afford the $100's of dollars those seats command.Call me when one of those guys can do something like this!
He forgot Neil Young and Jerry Garcia!Yeah this is a pretty good list of rock singers not generally known for being great singers.
He's up there for sure. Mike Patton has one of the most versatile pipes in rock.

Lane is easily my all time personal favorite from an aesthetic standpoint, but from a purely technical standpoint, Rose and Mercury are definitely ahead
He had by far the best stage presence from any leading man. I would have loved to have seen him live.
My parents saw Queen, MJ, Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin in each their prime live. I'm so envious..
Reid is far too under-appreciated.Terry "Superlungs" Reid gets my money.
Fun fact: Axl Rose has the highest vocal range of any rock singer in history, and maybe any singer in history
