SMASH THAT LIKE BUTTON

This shit really gets me. It's especially bad when it's a video longer than 10 minutes, but the content you came for is only like 1 of those 10 minutes and it's buried 7 minutes in. The rest of that time is spent telling me to "smash" a like button, and telling me where I can follow them. Just shut up and get to the reason I clicked on the video or fuck off.

"Here's this game that I'm going to review, it's a very popular game but...."
Random skit that has no real point.
"...but as I was saying."

For some reason I dislike when YouTubers have a cartoon of them as avatars. Pair that with a cheesy 8-bit intro jingle and I'm mad before starting the actual video.

I am sensitive to noise so I don't like ones that are too loud or talk too fast or over react. I also don't like the ones who talk over story moments.

I really like it when people take the time to explore the stories in the games and who talk normally.

Tbh I don't mind jumpcuts. I get why they're bad but I just can't bring myself to actively dislike them.

I love how every 30 year old neckbeard on YouTube has a kawaii anime chibi drawing of them as an avatar. It honestly borders on creepy.

Awful thumbnails, yelling, and the YouTube vs games press agenda are my biggest ones on what is probably a fairly sizeable list.

Oh and fake reactions. Looking at you Etika.

Spanish Youtubers don't like to get to the point, it's difficult to find a simple review shorter than 15 minutes.

"Well now that we are here, let's start and where do we start? Well we start from the beginning....."

I wish Youtubers like SomecallmeJohnny had more subscribers. His videos are very entertaining to watch: he gives a 10 second intro, present the game and his brief thoughts on it, the summary if the story, the gameplay and then his final thoughts. No BS. He doesn't rely on clickbait, dumb thumbnails, and his voice is nice to listen to.

never left the stone age
Well, one channel I enjoyed has started doing super stupid skits at the start of videos that are distractingly bad lol. Plus the snarky negativity aspect of it all has gotten to the point where it's distracting rather than entertaining.

And believe it or not, I'm not talking about Jim Sterling :lol.
Jim needs to do Gaming Aristocrat fulltime, because it's funny as fuck

YouTubers who catch their audience up on their personal life before getting to the topic that is the clickbait title in the last 90 seconds.
Literally no one gives a shit, buy a dairy.

Title: *Product* Review

"Hey guys, sorry I haven't been posting all that much. I had to move, and school's been keeping me busy, had some job offers, was on vacation. Support me on Patreon. Buy my merchandise. And without further adieu, gets get to the review... It's pretty good."

Everything you just posted. I've only got a few videos on my channel dedicated to VR and a couple PC games but I made an effort to never tell people to like, comment, or subscribe. It's 2017. Everyone already fucking knows the drill, we don't have to hear that on every single video. Maybe it's one reason why I only have 55 subs but I highly doubt it lol. If someone likes your content, they will subscribe. Not because you told them to or because you "reminded" them that the like button or subscribe button exists.

What always gets me is when people think they are slick with the "Oh yeah, if you wanna send me fanmail and letters, here is my P.O. Box address!" Bull-fucking-shit, you just want free swag despite the fact that you're making major cheddar and have 5 million subs (which means you can afford that shit to begin with) and you know it lol. Just say what it is. "I have a P.O. Box if you would like to send me free stuff, thanks." I admit though that I won't group everyone into that box though, I bet there are countless YouTube creators who actually enjoy getting letters in the mail from fans and that's pretty cool.

When they read out dialogue in games without voice acting. Bonus points for changing your voice for each character.

Came here to say this. Don't know what it is, maybe that it seems so common in thumbnails lately, but it's a surefire way to make me avoid your channel.

God I wish I could get plain game footage without some dickhead talking over it sometimes.

fuckin let's plays being top hits for everything, not marked as letsplays...

My number one gripe is when a video spends 5 minutes talking about what it is going to talk about before talking about it.

lmao. Exactly!

"Now, the reason I wanted to do a video about how to bust the nano blitz is that...." blah blah blah. JUST GET TO IT!

Haven't seen once the things mentioned on the OP as a trend on the youtube content i consume. Every channel i frequent seems to have their own catch phrases.

What i do see as a trend and it doesn't seem to be going anywhere anytime soon, because it makes content faster without a script, is quick cuts in the =3 style. It's everywhere.

"Yo wassup it's your boy *insert name* here"

Every fucking video preview image being the same clickbait bullshit - character to one side pulling a fucking stupid face, yellow text in huge letters with some hyperbolic statement like "MEI TOTALLY BROKEN?!?!?"

Video intros for your channel before music, particularly if said intro has audio. Stop it.

"Let me know in the comments section below" when they clearly don't reply to any of them.

Tutorial videos for fixing broken shit in Windows or setting up some obtuse program that spend half of their run time slowly showing and explaining how to double click on folders.

Unregistered Hypercam. This isn't 2002, where did you even find that program any more? Was Bonzi Buddy available to download there as well?

Advertisements, unsurprisingly, but for reasons:
-That exact same ad you get for the next couple days. You get nothing else but that one.
-Knockoff App Store Pokémon games which seriously use footage from games/trailers to make you think it's the real deal. Google just does not check the quality of their ads.

Something that actually does bother me is when they add words between "without" and "further."

Gamester81 does it a lot, and it kinda puts a frowny face on me whenever I hear it.

"Without much further ado"
"Without any further ado"

My 4 year old daughter was saying grace before dinner a few months ago and finished off with "Dont forget to leave a comment and subscribe"

Maybe we should cut back on the youtube a little. :p

Hello, my name is Yves Guillemot, Vivendi S.A.'s Employee of the Month!
Probably. Nothing to do with him as the real person, but I just can't stand his YouTube style--everything about them for me just screams "fake!"
Just thinking considering all the guys who lean into the alt right and stuff. He seems like an anomaly who hasn't gone insane.

This guy. Utter wanker. I watched one of his videos and now on the PS4 and my Smart TV I cant get rid of this guys video suggestions on the home page

Whats the peeve about him?

This is a guy (and I will assume there are many many more like him) who makes videos about other people bullying his friends, but his videos amount to nothing more than him bullying that person. Point of note was a video about a so-called friend of his asked to create a free video trailer - he then decides to make a video about how his 'friend' was treated by the publisher by only covering (and over-embellishing) one side of the story.

And a recent video watched solidified by view of him: Secret facebook groups.
"Now I just want to tell you guys I don't care about Facebook, I don't care about silly little secret groups where admins of other groups get together and talk about their members, but I am going to make a video anyway telling you about it, but make sure you understand I don't care about it" Well RGT85, you are showing the complete opposite. You see, if you didn't care about it, you wouldn't make the video. But I know there is no point telling you that because you wont agree or even understand that concept
