Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite - Story Trailer 3 [Up: Final roster is 30 characters]

RIP Ug-Li. You will not be missed.

Cartoon stylised as heck Dr Light hologram chinwagging with the sorta realistic looking Avengers is something special.

Final roster though? crumbs, not even the rumoured Hunter in the base roster? Bloody hell, I think this leaves Jedah as the only character that's made me hyped.
I might wait on this one to see how it unfolds, if I get a fighter in September odds are that I'm far more pumped for Pokken's 5 new fighters, which really shouldn't be the case when you factor in that this is MvC of all things.

I'm extremely insecure with how much f2p mobile games are encroaching on Nintendo
*sigh*...chromatic aberration we meet again..

I know its been there since the beginning, but still. I hate this mind baffling developer style

It's just like a move! (that gives you a massive headache)

Will be a long wait, they probably plan to keep this game going for years ala SFV.

The week DBZ releases , infinite will have an updated version with DLC characters or a fighting game of the year edition
Count on it
It's a business, they can see DBZ coming fast and ready to take over the fighting world.

Trailer looked pretty good, nemmy hype
Roster is small but oh well

Playing Bloodborne damn near for a day gave me QUITE a headache and it felt like my eyes were strained or something. Since then I've hated this "visual style" so much

I thinking gaming for a day will do that

If this game with all its "season 1" DLC was in game Id be hyped but I still dont think its a day one buy for me. Looks better though. I hear there will be no Japanese vo for the capcom characters is that true?

I love the corny shit I just saw, but I'm probably gonna back out of the super duper edition. Haven't seen them present those statues in non-promo shots and that worries me.

The rumors about the game having half the budget of Street Fighter V's DLCs were seemingly on spot looking at this roster.

I was expecting a 30 base roster so I'm not disappointed. Still sucks though.

The best story trailer they've done so far. Chun li looks good seems like Chris might have gotten an upgrade too? Not sure how I feel about Jedah's English voice.

Me too. I wanted to love that game, but physically couldn't play it. I've never had any other issues with motion sickness, VR, etc. Chromatic aberration will do it to me every time.

I was listening to the SBFP podcast this morning and they went,

"So they've announced Ghost Rider and I hope it's the Robbie Reyes version..."
"Matt, it's whatever version was in Marvel 3."

How right Woolie was.

Ehhh for me? Not normally. Can't speak on others gaming experiences

Which is why when this happened to me, it particularly bothered me cause I've binged countless other games and didn't experience anything like that.

None of them that I can remember had chromatic aberration, too

That trailer was really good, I might end up picking this up on day 1 after all. The gameplay already seem like it'd be solid, but the story looking interesting is pushing me towards getting it.

Even MVC2 had more effort put in the roster holy fucking shit
It absolutely does not. MvC2 is probably the one new numbered title of any franchise to reuse the most assets. Almost everything in that game is copy+pasted from other games. Even the new characters reuse things from recycled characters.

MvC:I reuses skeletal animations, that's about it.

Wait, I'm confused. Are we happy about the 30 character thing? Or unhappy?

MvC3 vanilla had 36 characters not counting DLC or the characters added in Ultimate. Infinite charging $30 extra to get the same number of characters a 6 year old game had is pretty horseshit.

What Capcom should be doing is making the character DLC free and charging only for cosmetic stuff like other games have been doing lately, but this is Capcom and they have no idea how to please a community so this game is boned.

They fixed chin-li thankfully but wow what a small roster compared to 2 & 3

2 and 3 didn't have a full length, fully animated, fully scripted and voice acted movies packaged in them.

That's basically what story mode is, whether you like story mode or not.

Takes a LOT of resources to make something that actually looks very involved.

Getting ridiculous how much people are downplaying the amount of effort it requires. If those old games put even an ounce of effort into their stories (which people demanded, BTW) their rosters wouldn't have been as big as they were.

Not to mention that all of the characters for MvC3 were made from scratch, and a large number of them weren't in MvC2.

Here? Well, let's just say we all know why it's still Re5 Chris and DMC3 Dante.

Tekken 7 did that too and it was well put together, I think we need to hold capcom to higher standards

That was a really great trailer. I'm excited for the story mode.

So am I.

It looks like cheesy, harmless fun with lots of recognizable characters interacting. That's all I wanted from story mode.

Tekken 7 reuses animations like no other video game ever.

Tekken 7 has animations from 2 DECADES ago still in it.

Don't even go there, lol.

Also, MvC3 was 3v3, so it needed a bigger roster.
