Would you be a pet to advanced aliens?

If there are aliens capable of reaching this planet, they may look at us the same way we do dogs.

But my dog has a very awesome life. He's fed twice a day and the only thing he has to do is cuddle with us. Seems like a pretty sweet life.

If aliens take over the planet, would you be willing to be their pets? I think I might.

You mean like an inter-dimensional congress of Rick Sanchezs?

Sure, as long as I get to wear a charcoal gray suit and carry a folder.

(((SOROS)))
I was thinking something of an ant colony. Maybe once a manned mission is able to leave the solar system the ship would just bang against a glass wall and all observations we made about the outer galaxy were just digital projections created by the terrarium (spacearium?) to creat a more natural environment.

As long as they don't neuter me sure why not? I'll dry hump a hot blue alien chicks leg and they will think it's cute. They will take me out for space walks, maybe they will give me a cool space iPhone to play with. Maybe I'll get pizza shaped human food too 😋

I'd probably end up with some POS animal abusing alien family

Then get rescued by alien PETA and thrown into some alien animal shelter

No alien family would bother re-adopting since I'd be too old so eventually they just euthanise me

So fuck that

Only if they don't neuter me. And it would be nice to get adopted into a family that has at least one other human so I can have a friend.

But none of those human hoarders that can't take care of us and leave us to wallow in our own squalor.

I build squalor around me wherever I go

I never understood the whole "They see us like we do ants/dogs/cats/animals."

Animals do not have societies with trade, science, cultures etc. Animals does not attempt to communicate with the giant beings. Animals don't engage in philosophical discussions with the overlords about to destroy them because "they are only like ants beneath gods" as is the case with many fictional scenes of the matter.

It is honestly a pretty perplexing view. If we learned that ants were trying to communicate with us to build a relationship we would quite immediately try to establish contact and outlaw the harm of them because of their sentience. Of course there would be still assholes trying to kill them because of racism but those aliens who constantly comes to enslave/destroy us might be that in their societies, the redneck racists of aliens.

Am I able to go out and walk the streets when I want to like some pets do or do they lock me inside a house?

The assumption is that they're so advanced that what we've made looks like nothing more than ant hills and that their cultures and sciences are so advanced comparatively that we still seem like animals to them.

Also, I think you're stretching it to assume that humans first reaction to aliens would be to have psychological discussions with them. Most people would probably fear and resent them, and the ones who don't couldn't speak to them without a translator.

The idea is that they would be advanced beyond our comprehension. Whatever way they communicate between themselves is so complex and incomprehensible to us we might not even register it as communication.

Most animals have some form of communication between the members of their species but we still curb stomp them because for us it's just funny noises, dances and rubbing. Many species like ants and bees have societies and actually build complex stuff, but we largely dismiss it because it's just "instinct" and not "intelligence". What if there's an alien species so advanced that our "intelligence" can be dismissed in the same measure?
