You know what loot game I liked better than Destiny? Hellgate London. Now there was a game. Flawed, sure, but very enjoyable.

Ever since my Dota 2 addiction and then burnout I can't get into treadmill games at all. Like I get why they work for some people but I just can't.

Ooh, if that was made with the relative polish of Destiny..

Hellgate: London was a bit of a mess technically and honestly a little ahead of its time. Too bad really.

The Destiny talk just sounded like non-stop dumping on it, but even as someone that has no real frame of reference for a lot of it it doesn't sound like a big deal. Like Jeff bringing up the power item quests that you should save until you're 260 or whatever to get to 280, he makes it sound so terrible that the game doesn't tell you this that and the other but from what they say later it's just a weekly quest thing so just wait a week ya goof.

But from what I played of the beta I could immediately not stand the characters and it seems I have a whole lot more of that to look forward to when I get to play it on PC.

It's for the best.

Thinking "Ok in 5 years, all the hours that I'm wasting doing this shit, is it going to be meaningful at all?" helped me kick my Runescape and DOTA 2 addictions.

It's also why I'll never play games like them again. I'm missing out on too many other experiences that actually have climaxes.

Alright, now that I've taken 24 hours to recover from being crushed repeatedly by Bojack, it's time to get back to Destiny.

The beta doesn't have the GOAT character Failsafe so no worries on that front.

A rewarding loot system? You'll spend 10 hours to raise your power level by 2 meaningless digits and you'll like it!

To be fair, that only applies to power above 265. The grind to 265 is quite reasonable because of the token system, which is the smartest idea Bungie has ever implemented into this thing.

Raid's bottom recommended is 260 so it should be accessible without too much work, unlike before where I was grinding strikes for hours to get one more piece.

I need a rewatch. I think Season 3 had some more massively crushing moments, but episodes 2, 6, and 11 were particularly painful to watch.
The positive slant for Bojack at the end means season 5 will be a devastating train wreck.

I don't get Jeff at times. Mario Rabbids adds new mechanics throughout the game. The enemies have new ways to evade your established team composition and abilities. So you have to rethink your strategy. That's good. What does Jeff even want other than that? Same enemies with better weapons so you die faster?

I bet he got stuck in one of the puzzles in world 3 and that's the reason he's so down on it now. "Overstays its welcome" lol.

Destiny is not the best FPS brad has played on a console.

Played a lot of Destiny 1 due to it being a very nice feeling console shooter.

Wondering if I'll get addicted the same way when I play it on PC since there are a lot of nice feeling shooters on PC using the keyboard and mouse that it has to compete with.

Jeff likes to find one good combo that works and use that for the rest of the game with minimal adjustments. He's stated this often.

One thing that bothers me with rabbits is having to buy new weapons all the time. I think it's great that i have to mix up my team often, but the game also hampers my ability to do so by introducing the same weapons with higher damage every 4 or so missions.

If one isn't into all the sliding puzzles it's easy to see how they could be tedious. I just wish they controlled better/quicker.
